I recommend this salon to everyone: men, woman, children and seniors. The stylists are very well trained and talented in all fascists of hair design. They are attentive, extremely friendly and very comprehensive in giving you what you are wanting. They even offer a range of beverages of your choice. With the new remodel it really gives the atmosphere a fresh, modern look while still being a very warm and inviting place to come into and hang out while you get pampered. They also have a great range of products that they taper to your own hair needs. For example, my stylist Abby referred me to Phyto spray wax after analyzing my hair type and style. I love the stuff! The most important thing I can say is that I am very specific with my short do' and the overall service of providing me with exactly what I want has been achieved above and beyond! Thanks guys! The staff is very friendly but seem to be preoccupied with themselves and their personal lives. Not very attentive when it comes to details. My friend and I both went on separate occasions and both came out unhappy with our haircuts. The stylists did not do what we asked them to do and they both seemed rushed to get us out of their chairs so they could socialize again, and one stylist was the owner! I have been to many high profile salons and have had my hair done by celebrity stylists all over the U.S. and I have never encountered such a bad cut from such a high-rated salon (high-rated on CitySearch) and do not recommend this salon. I say that with kindness, however, because I believe they have what it takes to improve. They have a great ambiance, are friendly (when not rushing or chatting with fellow co-workers), and obviously have skills with haircutting but they do not show off their talent due to laziness or thoughtlessness. It's a shame because I am sure they are talented. They just need to focus in on clients more, listen to what they want and do it, take TIME to do it and they will earn a better rating from people like me. I am just not going to wait for it all to happen. My friend and I are off to find a better haircut elsewhere. Pros: Nice atmosphere, parking. Cons: Inattentive staff. more

I've never felt more at home than I do at Salon Rapunzel. Each and every member of their staff is so friendly and welcoming I'd rather be at Rapunzel than Home, from Rovi to Renate and my absolute favorite Blu. I've been going to blu for two years now. He is the only person on this earth I trust with my hair! every time I go in he finds some new great way to cut my hair, it is DIFFERENT EVERY TIME! and I LOVE IT EVERY TIME! I recommend Salon Rapunzel to all of my sorority sisters and they all love him. Rapunzel was so amazing they even threw us a blow-out party. The new look of Rapunzel is clean and beautiful. Everyone that works there is wonderful. Cuts and colors are great. It's like you get a pampered make over every time you go in. And now that they have Esthetician it just adds to full service salon Rapunzel offers everyone of their clients! I was driving on 13th and all of the sudden ""Rapunzel"" on my left, YES!!! My friend recommended Blu long time ago and I decided to stop and make an appointment. Blu did not have any open time for the next four weeks (that shows how amazing he is) but they were able to squeeze me in. Blu has the capacity to listen to what you want and give you NEW ideas based on that. He goes further and he is so confident that you trust what he is doing!!! I have been to a lot of stylists and am happy to say that I have found my staple salon. Blu is an artist with my hair and I leave looking like a New Yorker! I don't know where the other comment came from, but I have been a client for over a year and I have never seen anyone with my hair cut or style. Everyone at the salon is friendly and highly educated in the trade. Blu is an artist! more

I had a hard time finding a knowledgeable and responsive esthetician until I happened upon Renate when she worked at London Hair. Because of her knowledge and skill with regard to waxing, I followed her when she moved to Salon Rapunzel. Truth be told if you have sensitive skin and misbehaving hairs, Renate is your esthetician. She has introduced me to stellar products that help the skin between waxings. I am lucky to have found her and wholeheartedly recommend her to others. As an added bonus, she is lovely to be around as her warm energy is truly contagious. more

I had heard really good things about Salon Rapunzel and Blus amazing edward scissor hands :-) I came in the salon with what was supposed to be an 'A-line' cut but instead looked like I had the worst mullet ever! It was horrendous!! I needed help big time. I met with Kami and luckily she was able to help me that same day! Unfortunately the length of my hair needed to grow so she suggested we just trim it and gradually let it grow where it needed to be. Now, it has been three months and with the help of the PHYTO vitamins, my hair is FINALLY looking absolutely amazing and better than I expected!! I am constantly getting compliments and happily passing on Kami's cards and letting people know how great the service is at Salon Rapunzel. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is so delightful :-) Great thanks to Kami and her professionalism and amazing style! more

I have been going to Salon Rapunzel for several months. The staff is unbeatable, friendly and upbeat. I feel I can rest easy with my hair in Blue's hands, as well as the other stylists I have been acquainted with in the salon. I have received remarkable advice and help with some skin issues I have had since moving to the area from their estetitician Renata. I have even gotten advice from someone there about online web design. The atmosphere is comfortable and I definitely feel pampered upon leaving. more

I went to Salon Rapunzel because of the reviews here and all the great reviews were right. Sarah Snowden originally cut my hair a few months ago... and cut the greatest bangs anyone has ever seen! I decided to go for more of a change today, so she colored my hair. She is absolutely fantastic! A color EXPERT! I didnt ask for anyone in particular when I called for my first appointment, and I am so glad that I got Sarah. Remember to ask for Sarah Snowden because there are 2 Sarah's. I was new in town and did not know where to go I called to schedual a haircut and they put me with Blu and I fell in love I have gone to Blu for 3 years and I have even followed him form his last Salon. I have paid more for a hircut and I have paid less but I have never been so pleased as I am with Blu. I get compliments on my hair every day and I always say I owe it all to Blu. I am not a low maintance kind of gal, I really enjoy styling may hair every day but Blu cuts my hair in such a way that it looks great even if I don't style it. He has magic scissors and I will go wherever Blu goes! more

So the place has a Great new vibe since the remodel. A lot of changes going into the place, I think you will be able to find the salon under Salon Blu(?) soon- Eugene has a mad lack of GOOD hair stylists and all the good ones came here, I swear. I just recently moved to Eugene to go to the University of Oregon. So, when I needed a haircut I had no idea where to go, because I really love my salon at home. So I did some research and I read of ton of great reviews for Salon Rapunzel, specifically for their stylist Blu. I went to see him and he gave me a great haircut. I didn't really know what I wanted when I went in, but he just told me he would make me look gorgeous. He did a great job because I absolutely love my my hair now! I had a great time and the environment was really friendly and fun. Definitely go to Salon Rapunzel and see Blu if you want a fabulous haircut! more

I?m writing this review because people constantly ask me where I get my haircut. Blu is friendly, accomodating, and most importantly great at what he does. He trained in New York and it?s obvious. He has great style, knows color, and provides the best blo out I?ve ever had. I?ve been to upscale salons in Italy and France for cut and colors?Blu is better in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I always leave the salon with a stylish, professional, and flattering cut that I love. more

I'm new to town and was desparate for a partial highlight and cut. I called Salon Rapunzel on a whim and they accomodated me with an appointment that evening! I was set up with Debra for my cut and color...she totally surpassed my expectations and did an amazing job! I went in with dull, dirty blonde, scraggly hair to my shoulders and came out with the most meticulously cut, sheek, funky bob (exactly what I asked for)!! Debra was all ears when listening to my wants/needs and gave her honest, educated opinion about what would look best with my hair type and face/neck shape. Debra Bonatti has been a stylist for over 20 years and has just moved back to Eugene from Roseburg. She's owned her own salons in the past an is obviously well educated and passionate about hair! I will definitely be going back to her and suggest you try her out too!! Unfortunately, I found Rapunzel (specifically Candy) 3 weeks before moving from Eugene! The salon is very relaxed and comfortable. Candy was the stylist who cut and highlighted my hair and she did a fantastic job! Two weeks later and it still looks incredible! For the past year, I've been getting haircuts that look fine when I leave the salon, but awful the next day. Candy was able to cut my hair in such a way that it actually wants to lay the way it should and flip where it should with little effort on my part. She fixed my daughter's hair and gave her exactly what she wanted but also made sure what she wanted would actually work with her. I can't recommend this salon enough, I'm just really upset that it took me this long to find them! Pros: Personable SKILLED stylists Cons: parking was a bit tight, but still available more

I'm not that impressed with the salon itself....it seriously needs an overhaul....HOWEVER...if you want the best cut and color of your life go there and see Blu! I have NEVER been able to get a hair cut and leave a salon looking good. I mean I've had good hair cuts (nothing as good as Blu's) but when they attempt to ""fix it"" I always have to go home and wash it right away. Not the case with Blu...he will make you feel like a movie star....he is absolutely the most amazing stylist I have ever been to. more
