My husband and I had the good fortune of working with Matt Icard when we decided to refinance our home. We were given all of the options available to us and had a very good experience with this company. We were in constant contact during the entire process and felt very pleased with our decision . They all went above and beyond all my expectations and this was the most professional mortgage company we have worked with in all of the real estate business transactions . The closing was done right in our home at time that suited our schedules best and was handled by a closing professional that had over 40 years of mortgage experience. I have already told several people about this company. Having owned a real estate magazine in the past, I have a lot of connections in this area and have told the top producers how amazing Matt was to work with and urged them to have their clients contact Matt for new loans, refinances, and any other mortgage needs that they may have. Belinda was joy to work with and communicated that she had received all the necessary documents requested by underwriting to complete our loan. I urge anyone considering any real estate transactions to contact them for a wonderful experience. more

I listened to their ad on my morning show on the way to work and decided to give them a call. I worked with Matt Icard and he was just great at explaining my options in a simple way. He took the time to work around my schedule, meeting with me on Saturday. It was a pleasant surprise to get this level of service and in the end Matt delivered as promised on helping me lower my payments. Highly recommend :) more

Just closed on my jumbo refinance with Al and couldn't be happier. It took longer than expected but he worked through an issue that popped up with our property and ultimately delivered. We got out of needing the flood insurance and I even ended up with a better deal at closing. As promised I got a great loan and received great service. \r more

Refinanced and saved!!! 1/26/2012

Refi was quick and cheap 12/27/2011

Had a great Refi experience with HomeTown Lenders. Al found a great rate and Tika help pull the closing together. Very happy with the rate, the closing costs, the speed to close, and the convenience. They also use a title company that sends the closing attorney to your house for the closing. Thank you Al and Tika. more

Great service...Great people... 11/9/2011

My wife and I were looking for local mortgage lenders to help us with a refinance on a Jumbo mortgage for our house in an intown neighborhood in Atlanta. After contacting several businesses in the area, we chose Hometown Lenders (based on both word-of-mouth and extensive research). In the end, all of our due diligence paid off as Al Moreira and Barbara Pruden walked us through the process and made us comfortable with our choices, while offering several alternatives specific to our particular set of circumstances. more

What a great team!!! 7/11/2011

I decided to purchase a home in one of our county's worst economic down turns in history, not knowing that it would take not only two good jobs on our part, but the help of two people Al and Tika. My credit was ok, but my wife had never done anything to build her credit score so we were at a pretty good disadvantage. When I called and first met Al, he told me that it would be an up hill climb and he couldn't promise me anything, but he would do all he could to help. After a few days he gave me a number to call. This number was to Tika. Tika helped me and my wife to repair and build our credit. Tika worked tirelessly for us to help us gain financing for the new home. This wasn't easy, but would have been impossible without her help. We went up and down and back and forth for some time, but in the end Al and Tika were able to help us purchase the home. Without the help of these two individuals we would have given up. Thanks again to Al and Tika. for being our Home Town Lenders. more

The best there is out there 5/9/2011

After searching out quite a few lenders in our area, we settled with Hometown Lenders. It was probably the best move we made. Al and Barbara, are in my opinion the best there is out there, when it comes to helping you wit getting your loan approved. We had a lot of hurdles to go over and Al and Barb made it seem so easy. Another reason we chose them was because Al told us up front what the final closing cost would be. The others added on a little here and a little there until the final cost to us was $4,000. and up. Home town Lenders had no hidden costs, what Al stated the first day was what we paid at the closing. We didn't even have to leasve the house,they sent an attorney to us when we said we were ready to sign. There was absolutely no pressure and everything was explained to us so we could understand what we were signing. more

Great Experience 4/7/2011

I had a bad experience with my old mortgage lender on an attempted refinance and had almost given up on reducing my rate. I decided to give it one more try and happened upon Hometown Lenders. After speaking with Al Moreira I was hopeful that my luck was changing. With the help of Al and Barbara Pruden we closed on our refinance twenty-eight days after initially contacting them. We now have a much better rate and monthly payment. The entire experience was painless and stress free! I will definately recommend Hometown Lenders to others. more

You guys were fantastic! We have this awesome home because of your efforts. Barbara Pruden was a master at working with a difficult appraisal process in these crazy times-Also kudos on fixing our property tax issue with Fulton County. Al always had time for our questions.
