Best

This was my husband, and my first time to San Antonio. My friend who has been here many times recommeded this restaurant. I can't believe the reviews can be anywhere from excel...

Worst

This place is a good buy for the money. The atmosphere isn't all that hot as it is overcrowded and loud. I think that this restaurant is definately overated. The food is average T...

Good But Pricey 7/25/2004

The food is good but is a little high for Mexican food. The fact that they stay open is best of all because they serve the best Mexican during the early am hours. The staff is friendly and the food is served hot. The atmosphere is nice and to have sweet bread (pan dulce) after a meal is nice as well. Pros: good food, open 24x7, atmosphere Cons: , wait for seating more

Not in Holidays 5/27/2004

This is a good restaurant, but keep away in special holidays like mothers day. I unfortunatelly went in a mother day. The menu had very little alternatives, and we just treated like numbers, the motto was the most the beter but the quality service was very low. At least you want to be treated like ""mass"" keep away from there in holidays. Pros: enviroment, good parking Cons: , menu, quality service more

Mariachi Madness!! 2/29/2004

Mi Tierra is a great place to go and have fun. The beautiful lights, and the ever present Mariachi bands make this resteraunt a must go on your trip to San Antonio. The food was Tex-mex and the prices were good, but everything else was absolutely EXCELLENT. I can't wait to go again. The whole place just makes me want to laugh and dance the night away. Pros: Mariachi bands, decorations, inexpensive more

THE HEART OF SAN ANTONIO 2/29/2004

MI TIERRA'S IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE BEST AMOUNG IT'S PATRONS. THE FOOD IS THE BEST NOT ONLY IN S.A. BUT IN TEXAS AS WELL! YOU HAVE NEVER HAD A GREAT TIME UNTIL YOU'VE DINED AT THE RESTURANT THAT'S AT THE HEART OF SAN ANTONIO. more

Great everything! 5/24/2003

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Overcrowed and loud but the food and service make up for it! Bakery is also fantastic! We go to San Antonio every year and never miss a visit to our favorite restaurant. Pros: Food, Bakery, Service Cons: Overcrowded, Loud, Paking more

Great Food And Atmosphere-Bad Service 1/31/2003

My boyfriend and I visited Mi Tierra in August of 2002. That is his favorite place to eat in San Antonio and we had driven from Big Spring, TX to vacation in San Antonio. The food was great, but our waiter was incredibly rude. He brought me a beer when I didn't order one and he accused my boyfriend of ordering it for me. He hatefully took the beer back and complained as he walked off. He also got our food order wrong. I called to complain and I never got a call back when I was told I would get one. Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Drinks and Hours Cons: Waiters-Bad Service, Seating People, Courteous more

Romantic? Um, NO 1/16/2003

Busy, load, well lit, but not romantic. I have never been there when it wasn't packed and the wait for a table wasn't an hour. Parking is also nitemare. The food is good but there are too many other Mexican resturants in the city that are way better, less expensive, less crowed, and that have better parking. more

My dirt is the best 1/3/2003

Hey, what can be better than this institution? More turistas that ever and higher prices, but it's still ""My Dirt."" Still the best, but romantic? Maybe in the parking lot. Pros: Good People Watching, Decent Groceries, So-so mariachis Cons: Parking?, Crowd Control more

Guerra 11/24/2002

This place is a good buy for the money. The atmosphere isn't all that hot as it is overcrowded and loud. I think that this restaurant is definately overated. The food is average Tex-Mex cuisine. It's more of a tourist trap than anything else. more

MiTierra for sure 11/14/2002

Excellent food and fun atmosphere. If you weren't awake you will be by the time you leave with the Mariachis and loud talking by customers. more

Over Rosario? 11/11/2002

Heard about the guacamole--even mine is better. Cheese enchilada--Rosario's is better. I don't see the draw of this place. more

I'm Lovin' It! 11/11/2002

Not only is this restaurant conveniently open 24 hours, the quality of its food does not reflect its convenience. Both the food and the service is excellent in the wee hours of the morning, not suffering one bit due to sleepiness of the cooks and the servers. The atmosphere is lively and party-like, and one can't help but have a good time. Pros: Excellent Service, Excellent Food, Convenience -24 hours more

A Cafe? 10/3/2002

I think that any restaurant that has the word CAFE or BAKERY has got to be counted out as romantic. I mean seriously I took my grandmother to the restaurant for her birthday.I think the atmosphere of the restaurant is very spirirted and loud certainly no room for romance more

mi favorite 7/26/2002

As an Okie, the proof is always in the beans. The beans were more like a soup than most and were the best I'd ever eaten. The pollo al carbon was smokey, moist, and tender. The beef filling for the soft tacos had just the right amount of spice. I've read several reviews that said the prices were high. Seven bucks for fajitas is less than we usually pay near the Red River. The service was fair to good. The music was excellent! We ate there twice and visited the bakery 3 times in our 4 days in old San Antone. Pros: fair price, atmosphere!, location Cons: tortilla chips soso more
