Metro Towing

Essentially a bunch of contracted thieves. My apartment complex stopped requiring parking stickers for the summer, and so before moving in we called and spoke with a man at Metro who confirmed that they would not be towing from that lot. \r Fast forward two days and my boyfriend's car gets towed from the lot. We call and demand an explanation, and are told that they don't know who told us they wouldn't tow, but it wasn't true. They wouldn't make any effort to figure out who told us that, or even consider that maybe they were just wrong in towing us, and they weren't supposed to be there after all. They just impounded the car and charged for it all the same.\r Someone here did not do their job at all, either by lying or just not admitting to a mistake. Very infuriating. more

What a bunch of damn thieves and crooks. Hide in the shadows and then wait for someone to leave so you can tow their car. I made the mistake of parking in the Shenanigan's lot on the night of the NCAA tournament at Rupp Arena. Yes, I saw the signs saying that the lot was for business patrons or residents, but with the lot being almost completely empty and the game already underway at Rupp, I figured I would be ok. I just wanted to go across the street for maybe 15 minutes, just long enough to grab something to eat at Tolly-Ho. Big mistake on my part. I even asked the guy behind the counter at Tolly-Ho if I would be o.k. parking across the street. He said that I should be o.k. This was my first time eating at Tolly-Ho, so I didn't know where to park. I should have parked in their parking lot, but like I said, didn't think my car would be towed in only 15 minutes. I get back to the parking lot across the street, to find that not only has my car been towed, but that they are in the process of towing another car as well. Like someone else mentioned, they have these sneaky bastar-s that hide in the shadows waiting for you to leave your car, and then they radio the tow truck driver to tow you. Really nice way to do people, and hope karma bites them in the a-- for doing things like this. I am out $124 to get my car out impound, and the towing company people acted like they could care less. Lesson learned on my part, watch where you park in downtown Lexington, especially when there is an event going on at Rupp, because you have thieves like Metro Towing that will nail you if you give them a chance. more

I'm not going to scream and yell about these thugs. Let's just say, I had a very bad experience with them and would not recommend them. If you hire these people, just know you are paying into an organized group of thieves and thugs. Try calling the garage or person who will be working on your car, themselves, and see who they recommend. My mechanic told me that I should have never called these people. more

METRO TOWING ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS.... SNOTTY, RUDE, DISGUSTING, DIRTY EXCUSES FOR HUMANS.... THIEVES!!!! They hide around corners of intentionally inadequately marked tow away zones so they can financially rape innocent consumers of the local establishments and events! Tow away signs, if present at all, are posted 20 plus feet in the air, invisible to all drivers NOT in a tow truck! There are even often times PEOPLE STAGED TO FLAG THE VEHICLES INTO THE (NO) PARKING AREA!!! Construction sites that are not suppose to be parked in should be roped off or blocked off to prevent drivers from entering in the first place! But then that would ruin METRO TOWING'S RACKET TO ROB THE PATRONS OF LEXINGTON!! Maybe all the victims of the dirt lot on Manchester Street (particularly during the Halloween weekend 2010) should start filing law suits against the property owners and developers of that dirt low. I would not be surprised if there were a number of twisted ankles, car damage, and possible broken bones caused by their site that was left accessible. Let's not also forget those that were put through the intense trama and fear of being stranded without any money, phone, or i.d. because their vehicles were taken while they fund the local economy by patronizing the SCREAMPARK. Lexington Fayette Urban County and City officials and businesses better wake up and realize that consumers can go to other cities THAT DON'T ROB THEM THROUGH RACKETEERING TOWING and put a stop to this bait and switch going on with METRO TOWING!! Metro Towing, it's owners, and employees are ruining the economy in Lexington and chasing customers away from the downtown businesses!! IT'S TIME THE OFFICIALS OF LEXINGTON AND FAYETTE COUNTY PUT A STOP TO THESE CRIMINALS!!! more

Metro Towing came through for me in a pinch when another company failed to provide services that I requested. They were very professional, very friendly, and very eager to help. I would recommend them to anyone. Pros: Hours, availability, friendly service, very helpful. Cons: None whatsoever! more
