When I started my treatment I had extreme lower back pain and upper neck pain. I am now feeling less pain throughout my lower and upper back and neck. I truly thank Dr. Hogashi and his group of doctors for all their special care and treating all my pains. PS Keep up the good work. more

Upon coming to Mar Vista Institute I was in a great deal of pain. After just a few visits I was feeling much better and have better range. I enjoy the treatments I receive and there are many different ways of treatment. Based on how I'm feeling on that particular day. When i can get in a massage for treatment I am not as stiff. more

I have no noticeable pain in my legs or lower back. I feel a little tightness but not pain as much. I am walking better.It helps me to walk straighter. I am not walking to one side and I'm not bending over to walk. The most exciting thing about my therapy I have more energy now that I am not taking as much medication. I had been suffering with left leg pain for several months, and I was almost resigned to believing that it might be a permanent ailment. I casually mentioned it to Dr. Lee and he immediately honed it on it with some stretching and gentle manipulation. I was utterly amazed and delighted to discover that for the first time in months I felt no pain. I feel more flexibility in my neck rotations as well as my special movement. I never to continue my spinal pumps and my stretchers. Overall my movement and range of flexibility has improved. more

All the aches & Pains I came in with are gone! I don't have it anymore. My lower back pain is gone. I get up in the morning with no pain. The lateral leg pain that manifested in the left side of my foot is gone. Chiropractic works!!! more

When I first came into the clinic I had neck and lower back pain. IT was affecting my work the pain was very bad. Then I was recommended by Jose Cortez to come to the Mar Vista Institute of health. I have been under treatment for 2 months. After that time the pain is still not gone but it has decreased slowly. MY activities at work have improved and feel much better everyday. more

I was surprised by how much I appreciate chiropractic medicine my dad is a pathologist and I'd heard that chiropractic was not as valid as traditional western practice. In Life, Ive learned that there is a beautiful synthesis between different types of healing arts. It just makes sense that if the spine is properly aligned, our bodies area designed to work optimally & heal. I was also given more water taking vitamin E to moisturize my body, skin and to combine rice with beans to make a complete protein for my vegetarian diet. If I ever need surgery, western medicine is great too. BUt hopefully through pro-active preventative, medicine lots of ""would be"" won't happen. Thanks. more

After about 4 months of adjustments and exercises my range of motion, xrays show very good improvement and I feel much better range of motion. I am very happy with the results and it has made me feel younger and more energetic. Thank you more

There are other negative reviews of this place on both Yelp and Google, and I'm inclined to agree with them. I have posted the same reviews on those sites to warn people about this place. I have strong suspicion that the good reviews that you'll find are either written by the staff themselves. I went in to receive my ""free examination and massage"" and ended up paying $50 for the x-ray. The doctor went through a LONG seminar with me, showing me the x-ray and explain the importance of early treatment and prevention, trying to draw me in. He then asked immediately when can I start, and very much looking ""for a commitment"" from me right away. When I appear to be hesitant, he immediately asked what's your hesitation. I pushed for the price, what services are included, and how many session do I need. He was being evasive at first, but eventually caved. The doctor knew that once I hear these information, I would walk away and won't return, so he made last-ditch effort to get me to sign up for a session. I eventually escaped. So, there may be minor back problem and slight misalignment with me, but I wouldn't get my treatment from this place. Their pushy, sale-sy attitude, how they got me into the office, calling repeatedly now they have my information, and being vague and evasive made me think twice about going to this place again. more

Please don't go here! They give alternative medicine a bad name! They used to have some good doctors, but they have all left. They extort former patients for money; billing continuously for accounts that have been paid. If I could give them less than one star I would.
