I had been suffering with left leg pain for several months, and I was almost resigned to believing that it might be a permanent ailment. I casually mentioned it to Dr Lee, and he immediately honed in on it with some stretching and gentle manipulation. I was utterly amazed and delighted to discover that for the first time in months I felt NO pain! When I first came into the clinic I had neck and lower back pain. It was affecting my work because the pain was very bad. Then I was recommended by Jose to come to the Mar Vista Institute of Health. One of my husband and my favorite activity was to go to swap meets, antique fairs, and flea markets. Unfortunately I was in such severe pain with my hips and knees that we eventually stopped going as I couldn't go more than a 1/4 of a mile. This weekend- I was able (thanks to my wonderful chiropractor) to go to 2 large antique fairs and walk over four miles!! The kicker I started chiropractic care for my neck and headaches, what a great side effect!! Everyday I see improvement and I am thrilled beyond belief and have recommended chiropractic care to all my coworkers and family. Keep up the great care! more

Symptoms of pain in my lower back started about a year ago. Whenever the most painful of my body triggers ceased I would assume I was ""better"" and continued to pile up whatever was not completely healed or became healthier. M y most recent lower back pain started 3 weeks ago on a Saturday but the pain did not become impedement until Thursday of that week. When I finally understood that professional help was what I needed in order to not have reoccurring spasms, my sister recommended this place. I came, limping of uneveness, hurting with any sudden movement, and prone to fear my body for the sudden jolts. Xrays and assessment asine, the adjustment and supplementary tools have showed me that getting + feeling healthier is more than just feeling good. I have also feared that our body feels every step, every tension, and that being mindful of our body holistically can avoid serious irreversible damage. I have appreciated feeling the changes. Improvements to my doctor + not be dismissed + for my inquiries to be respected. more

Best Doctors work to make a person well. After years of taking drugs from the medical doctors, this place has turned me around. Drug free and pain free. I remember as a child that braces hurt my teeth, and it cost my parents alot of money and I had to go every 2 weeks for years, but it was worth it with a straight smile. This place is the same, you need to keep going until your body is in correct alignment. What a new way of life. Pain Free, Drug free. I have been combining acupuncture and chiro for approximately one month now. I have been to many other clinics trying to get certain areas of my spine to move...finally one of those areas moved today, the first time in about 10 years. I am feeling better, more energy and more flexibility and a better frame of mind! It's gradual but great!!! Looking forward to seeing my next set of x-rays! This is a great place to heal. more

I don't understand why the previous reviews were so negative... I entered a drawing to win a free exam and massage and about a couple days later I got a phone from a really nice woman that told me I won A free exam and a free 1/2 hour massage. At first it sounded too good to be true... the young lady explained to me that it would be a set of 2 different appointments an exam then my massage would be on a different day. The young lady also told me that depending on my exam the Dr. would recommend x-rays for me. They were completely upfront about everything and told me what to expect before even scheduling an appointment!!! I went it for a completely free exam and found how bad my range of motion test, I could only move 1/2 of the normal range! I decided to get x-rays which were completely covered by my insurance and went over them the same day! The Dr. stayed during her lunch break to go over my x-rays and tell the findings. The Dr.Higashi and Dr. Laridaen are the most caring doctors that I have ever met! I started on their corrective care treatment that they recommended and after only 3 visits my severe headaches have gone away!!! Thank you very much Mar Vista Institute of Health!!! more

I've been going to see Dr. Laridaen for about six months now, she's the first chiro I've ever seen. I never thought that I would go to an office like this, but I was in a lot of pain so I just was hoping that it would help. I've been able to actually sleep well and don't wake up during the night anymore. I haven't gotten a headache in a while now, and I'm actually exercising again. All in all, I feel that Dr. Laridaens has really helped me. more

I went here to get a massage and man i needed it bad. Just had gotten in a wreck in my car and my neck and spine were so tore up from it.... It is so much better now. I hardly have any pain. I will come back for some back work in the near future. more

I have noticed a major decrease in headaches. My back feels a lot better and I sleep better at night. But the change in headaches is what makes me most happy more

I hurt my back at the beach and i was unable to walk or even move. After finding Mar Vista and getting regular treatments I'm able to go back to the beach. Upon getting my X-ray I was shocked to see an unnatural curve. After receiving several months of treatment I was excited to see my new x-rays. My spine was straight and in a lot better shape. more
