Dr. Mandel is amazing! My vision was awful...I could not function without my glasses. Now I'm 20/20! I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to have the procedure. more

LASIK 6/18/2012

Overall had a great experience with Dr. Mandel and his staff. The process:An initial screening process to see if your eligible.Day of surgery, it's about a 10 min procedure or less. It's actually a lot more scarier than you initially assume but it's painless. I had lots of popped blood vessels so I looked like a vampire for about a month. Vision was near perfect a few weeks after the procedure. I've had a few colleagues do the same procedure and they had barely any popped blood vessels and their vision stabilized more quickly so it definitely varies by person. Overall, no real change in dryness level of eyes. I'd recommend it! more

I wouldn't Recommend Dr. Mandel 4/27/2012

Be afraid, be very afraid. Dr. Mandel is an excellent surgeon, but he is more businessman than doctor. Dr. Mandel blatantly misrepresented the outcome of my surgery to sell his services. After a very disappointing outcome from my surgery, I went to see a different doctor and was told that I was not the ""perfect candidate"" Dr. Mandel claimed I was. The office is very nice, including the massage chairs, but it's all part of the sales pitch. The office is a factory -- don't expect Dr. Mandel to spend much time really getting to know your individual situation. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor that's focused on providing quality care and not a doctor that's focused on building a marketing machine to make as much money as possible off anyone he can. more

High Quality, Excellent Care 4/18/2012

I saw Dr Mandel not originally for LASIK, but because I scratched my eyes from overuse of contact lenses. Dr Mandel's treatment was diligent, he shuffled his calendar to make sure I could see him several times a week, and he essentially saved my vision. A year and half after a full recovery, I returned to Dr Mandel to get LASIK because of the high quality of care I received from him in the past. I couldn't be more pleased with the results perfect vision and the follow up care is outstanding. When dealing with my eyes I did not want to cut corners or risk poor postop treatment. Dr Mandel is simply the best and I highly recommend him and his staff. more

12 years and counting! 4/11/2012

I had LASIK surgery with Dr Eric Mandel in 2000. it was a little nerve wracking but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made! Twelve years later, I still have 2015 vision. I give Dr Mandel my highest possible recommendation! more

Best decision! 4/10/2012

Everything went incredibly with Dr. Mandel. His staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and always told me exactly what they were going to do before they did it. The actual LASIK procedure was quick and painless and I could see a picture across the room immediately! Now it's been a week since my procedure, I have better than 20/20 vision, and I couldn't be happier! Also the red spots in my eyes are a great conversation starter they go away after a few weeks though. I couldn't recommend Mandel Vision highly enough! more

LASIK with Dr. Mandel 4/2/2012

After going through the LASIK process with Dr. Mandel, I have perfect vision and I am very happy with my results. This experience was superb. Dr. Mandel and the rest of his staff including Gabriella, Nancy were terrific and I am glad I chose to come here. The best part of it all was the post op care, making sure everything looks good. more

Excellent experience! 3/28/2012

Dr. Mandel was my regular ophthalmologist, and we had been going through several different options to treat my eyes, which had become very sensitive to contact lenses. Finally, I suggested that I would consider LASIK surgery and that day, we were able to determine that I was eligible very quick! From there, the experience was extremely smooth. The staff at Mandel Vision is outstanding and made the whole afternoon comfortable. Post op day 1 and I'm already seeing better than 20/20! Thanks Dr. Mandel! more

Pricey, but you get the best 3/26/2012

Dr. Mandel was exactly the right choice for me. My vision was so bad I was at the highest possible prescription for contacts. I was not eligible for LASIK, but I was for PRK, a slower but more effective procedure. At no point over the three month healing process did I ever feel I was in the wrong place. Dr. Mandel is the best, period. To maintain balance in this review, here are a couplpe of minor negatives: there is always a factory sense of moving patients through his practice, and he is definitely more expensive than other practices, but he has earned it and I believe that should be expected when you are the best and in such high demand.If I were in your shoes reading this, I would recommend you consider him. more

Came for the 1 year post lasik review with Dr. Mandel. All i need to say is the vision is 20/20. No issues. And this is after being extremely astigmatic 1 year ago. Very happy with the results and the service Dr Mandel has provided throughout the last year. more

Perfect Vision and Wonderful Staff 3/6/2012

Dr. Mandel and his team are phenomenal. I felt totally taken care of every step of the way, and it was a comfortable, easy, stressfree experience. After 25 years of nearsightedness, I now have perfect vision with absolutely no side effects. My eyes were very dry for the first few days, but that got better quickly. I have already recommended Dr. Mandel to my coworkers and friends...so I will also say to anyone reading this: if you are considering getting LASIK surgery, go see Dr. Mandel. I cannot imagine that there is anyone better out there to trust your eyes with. more
