I agree with Karenbres... Very Expensive and it's ALL about the money... As for those who were "saved" by Mackenzie coming in the middle of the night... Only if you signed an EXPENSIVE maintenance contract... After we payed ALL THE MONEY I did some research... There's more to the story.. But nothing I'd dare to put in writing! more

MacKenzie is a LIFESAVER!!! We recently woke up with no hot water and a puddle in our bedroom where it had (as they say) ""let go"". I called MacKenzie at 7:30AM & I had a new water heater installed SAME DAY!!!! Kudos to MacKenzie on a job well done (& a hot shower) more

MacKenzie installed our Burnham gas boiler in 2006 and we’ve been a member of their annual “maintenance” program since. Our problems began in 2010 when one of the connections developed a leak due to rotted fittings. We were surprised that such a new boiler would develop a leak, but it was repaired and largely forgotten. In 2013 a low water switch was replaced, and now, in 2014, there is both a new leak, in a different location, and failure of the replacement low water switch (fortunately still under warranty from 2013). In all, 3 of the last 4 years have seen significant problems (and repairs) despite the fact the boiler is less than 8 years old and well maintained! \r \r Last Friday morning MacKenzie was called about the new leak. We were told to expect the repair technician that afternoon. At 3 pm we called again and were told we were “next-on-the-list”. At almost 6 pm we called again and reached the emergency technician (we later learned the office staff had failed to dispatch the call on Friday so no technician was assigned). At 7 pm the emergency technician finally arrived but did not have the necessary components to complete the work. The repairs were finally completed 5 days later, but not before the boiler had stopped working and we’d awakened to a cold house and no hot water.\r \r We are thoroughly unhappy with the system that was installed and the service that’s been provided by MacKenzie. The yearly “maintenance program” appears to have had little effect on the problems we’ve encountered over the last several years, and is in my opinion, a waste of money. Should you need to call for service, the first words out of the office staff’s mouth will be “there is a $99.00 charge for the visit” and NOT “how can we help you”. The focus is on money, money, and MONEY! It appears that multiple leaks, breakdowns, and failed components keep MacKenzie in business so might be a good thing from their perspective. We, on the other hand, are very unhappy with our fragile and problem-prone system! We would definitely NOT recommend MacKenzie sales or service to anyone – and we will be looking elsewhere for a company to service our heating needs in the future.\r more

Well not sure where to start but I will try to keep it short. Mackenzie heating and cooling Seabrook NH had been servicing my gas boiler for the last 10-12 years. Not anymore!!!! Really started to go downhill 3 years ago when they took great advantage of us and really gouged us on the labor cost to replace my boiler that Buderus supplied as no charge warrantee replacement. \r \r The techs had been pretty sharp and cordial; fortunately never saw much of them except at yearly service. In the last two years, it went downhill. Last year had to call them back to get the boiler running after they serviced it. Same again this year. Except this time, it did not last. It stopped firing when we were away on vacation. Fortunately nothing froze! I got it running, identified a connection issue as best I could. They came out looked for 2 min, did ZERO troubleshooting or testing, and came back to us with an estimate of $700 in materials to replace the auto vent damper assembly. Conversed with Karl ""that was ridiculous"", it worked [flawless for 13 months] before his service tech came and did my annual cleaning service. His attitude was that his tech [who had already been dismissed from employment] would not have done anything wrong and it was all on me. Well it has been worked on and discovered that they destroyed the connection on the PC Board, leaving me with an unreliable heating system control.\r \r I would not let Mackenzie back into my home to change a light bulb, never mind let them service as important a system like a Gas Boiler!!!! I recommend you avoid them completely they are untrustworthy, deceptive, and unreliable.\r \r Mike Z more

After spending thousands of dollars with MacKenzie over the last 5 years, we have finally realized all they care about is selling and more selling. They don't really care about the customer part of customer service. Service to them means selling more time and more parts and more equipment. more
