My boyfriend and I both have birthdays within the same week so we decided to redeem the coupons we had received in our email. Before being seated, we checked with the host to see if our coupons would be accepted. The manager initially refused, but then said as long as our meals were on separate checks it would be alright.\r

As a show of our appreciation, we decided to order drinks before the meal. Shortly after ordering our drinks we immediately were caught off-guard by the manager complaining very loudly about us to several of the waitstaff, making us very uncomfortable. We received our food and came to the belief that it had been tampered with. My boyfriend quickly noticed a strong flavor of manure on his steak and then found a chunk of plastic in his baked potato. I found mysterious white chunks in my barbecue sauce. The manager walked by our table a few times, not to wish my boyfriend a happy birthday, but to give us dismissive, disapproving looks. We did not want anything more to do with that place, so we paid for our drinks and quickly left. \r

Never in my life have we had such a terrible dining experience. I would think a promotional coupon would have been a good opportunity for the manager to welcome us to the restaurant and encourage us to come back again, but it was quite the opposite. We felt completely unwelcome and, frankly, disgusted by the behavior and what may have happened to our food in the kitchen. I understand the restaurant not wanting to lose money because of coupons, but I was a big fan of another Lone Star and wanted to give this one a try. Now, knowing what I know now, I will never go to that location again.
Pros: Drinks were okay, Waiter was alright.
Cons: Manager was incredibly rude, food tampered with
