The biggest joke about the Laugh Factory is expecting customer service. The cashier will say anything to sell you a ticket (promising a certain comedian will perform). Then she wi...

SOOO FUNNY I THINK I PEED MYSELF 8/7/2007

i just recently went to Laugh Factory for a friend's birthday and it was awesome. i had a great time. the waitresses were hot and the comedy was laugh my a$$ off funny. dane cook was there and this other comic performed who was awesomely funny. his name was dov davidoff and i now have another comic that i totally dig. the staff was awesome and even guided me to dane cook after the performance to take pictures with him. i was so nervous to meet him! but the staff person just smiled and said he was a really cool guy and she convinced me that he wouldn't mind taking a picture with me. i'm so glad she told me that. my friends and i posed with dane sporting the sufi sign that i now have posted on my myspace page. he was so down to earth and cool. he really appreciates his fans. all in all an excellent night it was such a memorable experience. good people, good comics, good drinks, good food (they have California Pizza Kitchen!) and great atmosphere. i'm going to go again next weekend! Pros: atmosphere was a classic comedy club, staff, comics, drinks, food Cons: valet took forever to get my car back. more

laughs 5/24/2007

I found myself laughing often during the comic performances but not so much due to the content emanating from the stage as the tickling. Oh, the tickling. Pros: intensely more

Wanna be yelled at by the staff? come here! 5/16/2007

I'm glad that others see the crappy service and even city search admits it too that the customer service reaks really bad. When you make your reservations, talk to them like your're talking to Helen Keller because they are really slow (even the manager is too). I made my reservations on the phone thinking everything was swell, I went there, paid the parking $10, I stood in the line for the hour, and I got yelled at by the box office personal for no reservations. I worked with customer service for 5 years and I think I might know better on how to treat a customer and also how to do a phone transaction. The waitresses will tell you strait off that the drinks are no good unless you are ordering wine or the only beer they have is Budweiser. I had a margerita which wasn't too bad. And that siberian room city search is talking about is their "VIP" area. The only thing that makes it "world famous" is the fact of the surprise element of the comedians in which you won't know who's going to show up. So you can pay $20 per ticket and 2 drinks and have a good show or bad one. It's a poorly run chain joint of a comedy club so I guess it's convienient if you want to see comedy in Long Beach. It's like the gas station of comedy clubs, you go in for what you need, it's overly priced, and the guy working there barely has a GED and yells at you alot. If you want comedy without all the rudeness and be treated like a human being...go to the comedy store please!!! the original! Pros: Unknown line up Cons: rude staff and small facilty. not run very well at all. more

Poor customer service, Rude Staff, Long Lines, Not worth the money 4/26/2007

I went to the Laugh Factory not too long ago and I waited outside for like an hour, waited even longer to get a drink, then the "comedy" show wasn't even that hot. It was a full-on waste of money and I was very disappointed with the whole experience. The ENTIRE staff was rude, the chairs were uncomfortable and unpleasant. Don't waste your money. Cons: expensive, customer service, parking more

THIS PLACE IS A MUST! 4/18/2007

Well I just turned 18 so I was stoked to finally be able to get into the Laugh Factory, it was well worth the wait. I went on a Tuesday night to see Jay Davis and Godfrey. I love the high energy these comics had. My advice would be to get some seats in the front for some good laughs. Besides the 2 drink minimum the place was amazing and very inexpensive. This is a must go to in LA. Ps; I've been wanting to see Dane cook, does anyone know when he's usually there?! IM me if you know, my sn is OCEANN SALT. Thanx Pros: dane cook wasn't there. Cons: all the comedians were incredible more

MOVE TO THE BACK 3/17/2007

We went last night and saw Dane cook .. every act on before him was amazing, i haven't laughed as much as i did last night in a while... the "VIP" is a joke though they crowded us in like sardines upstairs.. the overweight usher whatever she was screaming at the top of her lungs ever five minutes "MOVE TO THE BACK.. I NEED YOU TO MOVE TO THE BACK" so there are about 100 people + crammed into the small room upstairs it seemed like the A.C. wasnt even on... after 45 minutes of feeling like a sardine and having some guys hot breathe on my back it was all worth while to see the show Pros: comedy acts Cons: "vip" ????? annoying usher, takes forever to get a drink more

Chocolate Sundaes 3/11/2007

I went to Chocolate Sundaes a couple weeks ago. A sorority was there and the jokes were just outrageous. The comedian that went last, David Arnold, was HILARIOUS. I haven't laughed so hard in I don't know how long. The 2-drink minimum hurt since I don't drink, but my lemonade counted, so I made that a double. My server wasn't very attentive, she kept giving my change to the people sitting next to me. Since I was wary of her skills, I declined the wings she offered. more

This is a great place with great staff. The comedians are very funny. I would recommed this place to anyone. more

Literally a FULL HOUSE! 5/26/2006

I went to the show yesterday and laughed more than I ever can remember. I woke up feeling like I did a million sit ups. My friends and I were celebrating his birthday, and was dying to see Bob Saget. Yes, it is true. Bob Saget was so raunchy. It was great! Not only was Bob Saget there, but John Meyer showed up and did stand up comedy for the 1st time! And the best surprise ever, Dane Cook showed up! It was literally a FULL HOUSE! Pros: Dane Cook, Bob Saget, John Meyer Cons: Parking, Long Lines more

It really is the funniest corner on the strip! 4/11/2006

Yes, it really is the funniest corner on the Sunset Street! My friends and I went to see Dane Cook last night and we had such a great time. I would definitely go back for more shows. There are always celebrities in the booths and in the VIP area. It's just a good time for all! more

Life of the Party 3/15/2006

I checked out the "Life of the Party with Jay Davis" last Tuesday night and I would love to inform EVERYONE that this showed was awesome. Jay Mohr showed up as a surprise, to open up the show. It was a great surprise. The other comics were great as well. The Laugh Factory definitely provides the best comedy in LA. Pros: Great Comics, Surprise Appearances, Good Drinks more

The Laugh Factory Rocks! 3/8/2006

I went to The Laugh Factory with my husband Tuesday night and we had an incredible time. We were sitting right next to Laura Prepon and Danny Masterson from That 70's show. The other times we were there we also saw celebs like Vince Neil from Motley Crue, and Ryan Cabrera and Ashlee Simpson. The atmosphere is really nice and the service is great. It's an over-all good time! more

Jon Lovitz Show ---- You have to go! 3/1/2006

Last night, a few buddies and I went to The Laugh Factory to see Lovitz perform. He was so funny. We all admire his career and now that he has his standup show at The Laugh Factory, all of his fans have to go and check it out! It's a really good time and I know all people would love the show! more

A great time! 2/28/2006

I've been to many other comedy clubs from the east coast to the west coast, and a few friends and I went last night and had an awesome time. After having a few glasses of wine, we were laughing histerically. They really do bring in a great line-up of comics whether you go on a week night or a weekend. You must stop there if you are on the Sunset Strip! more

The Best Comedy Club in LA!!! 2/26/2006

I was at the Laugh Factory this past weekend and had an amazing time. They had super-funny comics and the service was wonderful. It's a great night out for a group of friends. Go to the Laugh Factory.... you will NOT be disappointed! more

College Night's on Tuesdays! 2/23/2006

I checked out the Laugh Factory's College Night on Tuesday and I just wanted to let everyone know how much fun it was. A few girlfriends and I went to the club and got to hang with MTV's Theo! We had a blast while having a few drinks. I would definetly go again on a Tuesday night, or perhaps make it there EVERY TUESDAY! more

Really Great and Funny Club 2/19/2006

I had a really good time at this club. I went to see Dane Cook and was given really great seats near the front of the stage. The drinks were great. Dane is really hot, and the comics that opened for him were hilarious. If you're into clubbing like me it's a great place to go to before you hit the other night clubs. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, easy parking Cons: no food more

Don't get the VIP tickets! 2/6/2006

Paying extra for VIP tickets gets you in earlier so you can hang out in the lounge and get preferential seating as opposed to waiting outside in line. It's so not worth it - you're upstairs with people already occupying tables for the first show and you can't even get bar service. It got really crowded and hot with so many people in that "lounge." Aside from that, the comics were great. Pros: good comics Cons: parking on/off Sunset, pricey more

Cosistently excellent 11/30/2005

I work in comedy so I tour all the comedy clubs on a weekly basis and I have to say that, without a doubt, this is the best place to see a good show. The Laugh Factory is the showcase club of LA which means that comedians wont even try to get on stage before they have perfected their act because they know there can always be some big studio exec in the audience. They cant miss their chance at the big shot and must really pack their 20 minute sets with laughs. Chances are that if a guy is on stage and you have never even heard of him, he will be famous in two years and have his own sitcom in five! more

just horrible, and rude management! 11/21/2005

I had the most horrible experience there. We had a big group, and management was extremely rude to me, and I wasn't even complaining about anything! Further, the whole back section is filled with horrible seats, where the bar noises are so overwhelm ing that you cannot hear ANY of the jokes! I would never ever go there again! There are many other comedy clubs out there where they don't treat their customers like garbage. Oh and did I mention the long line outside in the cold and rain to get in? more
