Awesome food. Great old fashioned hospitality.

Good breakfast, 'diner' atmosphere, go figure 1/2/2007

I stopped by this place because the place I was told to go to was some business building rather than a restaurant (Anyone know where Carroll Street Cafe is)? Anyway, the food was good, I had breakfast and the eggs were great, the bacon ok. Then again, I got eggs because everything else seemed too expensive for what they were offering. Fast service- my order was taken within 1 min from stepping in, and my food delivered within 6 min. It's a laid-back place mostly filled with what I'm guessing were college students, many attractive ones to my pleasant surprise. Also, the review before me said something about it taking 3 people to get a water- The busboy brings the water (customary in many restaurants), and he might have just forgotten the straw or something. Overall a good place, especially for night owls or midnight snackers- fairly short walk from five points rail station and open 24-hours a day (all day breakfast). Pros: food, fast service, all day breakfast Cons: prices, but then again I don't know how good the pricey food is more

Worst Atlanta eating experience 11/25/2006

Folks...if you want your food overpriced, undercooked and desire the weirdest waiting experience of your life, this is the place for you. We've literally just come back from ""lunch"" at the Landmark and felt compelled to warn others... Pros: parking Cons: poor food, bad value. bad service, unfriendly ambience more

Yuck! 2/12/2006

The endless menu contains so many outrageously priced items that it would be impossible for the food to be great. I had crabcakes ($16.00), with some mixed vegetables and a salad. The little ""crabcakes"" were made from the Louis Kemp sealeg things and were awful. The tartar sauce and salad dressing came from a bottle. The mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn) were obviously frozen. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs and was not pleased. The second time I was forced to visit this restaurant for breakfast. I must say that frozen pancakes are MUCH better than fake crabcakes. The best I can say is that the breakfast wasn't completely terrible. The atmosphere is not unpleasant and the place is open at all hours. I think they've stayed in business so long by catering to after hour drunks who can't really taste the food. Pros: Nice "diner" feel, Nice waiters Cons: Horrendous food, Overwhelming menu, Overpriced more

You've got to be kidding 5/18/2005

Stay away from this place if you value your palate and tastebuds! The food is terrible! The service is even worse, went with a friend ..... only ones in there and we seemed to have inconvenienced the staff. Hello, it's a restaurant which means service! Keep your money and go elsewhere but here. Cons: Food terrible, Staff terrible, Service terrible more

Great food, nice staff 5/5/2005

We were out and about looking for a place to eat when we happened upon the Landmark. It looked safe enough, so we decided to give it a go. The food was good - fairly tasty. I had mousaka, the mrs a veggie burger and my 6yo the pancakes. The mousaka came with a nice greek salad, steamed veggies and a huge portion of mousaka - enough to give me lunch for the next day. My wife's veggie burger was very good, a huge and a ton of fries and onion rings. My daughter's pancake was massive, enough to have fed me. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our server was very attentive. She appeared at the right times and made us feel at home. Very professional staffer. I did notice some of the other staff seemed to have had a ""I don't stink attitude"", but she was very down to earth. Pros: portions, parking more

Best Breakfast and Bakery in Buckhead...no doubt 4/21/2005

I found the portions to be monstrous for breakfast and the breakfast foods are excellent. I also ordered the chicken salad sandwich once which was piled high like a NY deli sandwich and the chicken salad was fresh and not swimming in mayo. The food and service were wonderful during the 10 times when I have gone. I'll head here to have a wonderful brunch and let the others stand in line for 45 minutes at the other places around town. If you want to impress a host or guests, make sure to pick up some baked goods at the Landmark....yum! Pros: Great Food, Amazing Bakery, No Lines Cons: N/A more

Landmark Diner Meets Rod Serling for... 6/1/2004

Breakfast, lunch or dinner! Just about anything you can think of is on the enormous menu. If you haven't tried LD, you'll have to do so just to make up your own mind. This isn't your typical American Diner. Interestingly, few if any of the waitstaff, mgmt, or even patrons appear (or sound) to be American born. This gives the place a decidedly European feel. I like the sense of stepping outside the regional sameness that becomes rather tiresome in Atlanta. Why the reference to ""Twilight Zone?"" The waitstaff seems to think they are operating a 5-star restaurant, and may display a level of formality that's positively amusing in light of your surroundings (ie., chrome, mardi-gra pattern vinyl, hard tile floors...) Breakfast and burgers w/onion rings are great, though entrees can get a little tricky. There are many bad renditions of the burger in town, but this one works. Experiment! Pros: Food, non-regional feeling more

Landmark Charm & Desserts to Die For 2/8/2004

While on a mini vacation from Asheville, NC we decided to check out the cool looking Landmark Diner. We were very impressed with the full bar, beautiful cakes and pies, and the overall appearance of the diner. We both ordered a different variation of their eggs benedict and potatoes. The eggs benedict, although rather pricey for a diner, were very good. The service was a bit slow. The beautiful deserts caught our attention as we were departing the restaurant. Who could resist 5 high pies and cakes that are obviously decorated professionally by an in house baker? We sampled two absolutely scrumptious desserts and would recommend the chocolate mousse pie and the Pistachio Cake! Pros: Professional Baker, Good Food, Slightly Pricey more

Horrendous 1/2/2004

Single worst Atlanta dining experience. Has all the cons of a diner (mediocre service, sub-par food...) and none of the pros (lousy portions, ridiculously expensive...). I've had better food at gas stations. Pros: parking Cons: horrible portions, bad food, way expensive more

The Service 10/28/2003

The waiter was horrible. They sat us under a leaky roof. When we moved he gave us an arrogant smirk. He never came around to check up on us except to bring us our food. When we gave him a tip of less than 10% he sarcastically said thank you and then held the money up to us. Very rude! Pros: Food, Belly Dancer, Parking Cons: Service, Waiter, Leaky Roof more

Stay Away-- : / 5/10/2003

Bottom Line. The Food SUCKS. Its absoloutely horrible..and way overpriced. This place used to be good back in the mid 90s, its gone totaly downhill with service and food quality. Stick to Waffle House! Pros: good location Cons: low food quality, bad service more

terrible overpriced ""food?"" 11/11/2002

The worst late night food ever eaten!! Ruben sandwich with pastrami and wheat bread. It's obvious they don't know what a ruben sandwich is composed of and the waitress blamed it on the ""mexican cooks."" Also extremly overpriced! Stay away!!!! Cons: everything more

Big Fat Greek Party! 11/3/2002

Fantastic!!! The Belly Dancers on Sunday night tore it up the last couple weeks! There ain't nothing like it in town! Get there. The food is great! Nice people, too! Pros: Dancers!, Fun!, Awesomeness! more
