Sherry is the greatest aesthetician! I have had many facials from several estheticians to try and fix my troubled skin. She has gone above and beyond to help me get my skin clear again. Kisma is the best salon in Austin. I have been to several, but as a man I have felt misplaced. At Kisma Raquel offers the best men's hair cuts of any salon...period. She is always on time which is important to me since spending the day at the salon is not for me. However, I always feel at home...the coffee is hot..and my hair always looks the best. \r So, if you need a great stylist and your time and money are precious...see the fine staff at Kisma...and ASK FOR RAQUEL!!!! Mario ,at Kisma Salon on Great Hills Trail, has been coloring my hair for years. I get tons and tons of compliments and many referrals for Mario. Last fall I decided to go back to my almost natural color from Blonde to Brunett!!!!! I was petrified after being blonde for 20 years. My hair looks fantastic and my friends are telling me I look 10 years younger. Not sure if I believe that, but I will take it. Go see Mario to find out what he can do for you. I went to Mario last weekend after reading all the glowing reviews here about him and Kisma, and I'm happy to report it's true! I just LOVE the haircut and highlights that Mario gave me. The man is an artist! He was very friendly and also took the time to explain what he was doing and how to recreate the style at home. I've been shopping around for a stylist that I want to keep going back to, and have been to many high-end salons that have been simply disappointing despite their fancy image (the worst of which is Avant Northwest). I started going to Mario about 4 years ago, referred to him by a friend. I have greying, dark brown hair, and he somehow manages to use his color magic to keep my hair looking healthy and great. He uses the color on my hair such that i have natural looking red/gold highlights year round. He's always smiling and i always come out of the salon feeling great. I've referred friends to him, whether they live in Austin or are just her for a visit and want a great cut or color. \r \r I highly recommend Kisma and have enjoyed seeing the salon grow over the years, expanding to include the spa and all its services. I have been going to Mario for 4 years. He has taken my hair from short to long and back to short again and never once have I been unhappy. I love the fact that he knows me and has gotten me to try new things without going beyond my comfort zone. I also appreciate the fact that he stays up to date with technique and products by going to conferences in NYC and Miami. I highly recommend him and have already sent several people his way. more

I have been going to Mario for 8 years and he always knows the newest latest style color etc that is out. He has a great personality that helps make the time there go quickly. I have been going to my hometown hair stylist for years mainly because she was inexpesive. For any that know me, I'm cheap! OK - frugal is a better word :-) I found Stacey at Aveda and have been very impressed with their pricing , experience and attentive staff. Stacey is willing to give you ideas, and better yet, tell you the truth if she thinks a cut or color will look bad on you. She just got off approx. 6 inches of my hair and I love it!!! I definitely recommend Aveda Salon and definitely know you cannot go wrong with Stacey! And for the boys out there, she is very easy on the eyes...haha!!! more

I have been going to Laura for years. She is great with my hair. I recently lost touch with her and I have always wanted to try an Aveda Salon. I went to an Aveda Salon downtown thinking I was going to the best... BIG MISTAKE. I recently reunited with Laura at Kisma. She always knows what is best for my hair. My color always turns out so beautiful and I get tons of compliments. I have very long, thin hair and Laura always know how to cut it perfect, and recommended the perfect aveda products, to give it all the volume and body it needs. Go see Laura at Kisma. I have been going to Paul over a year now and I recommend him to anyone considering a makeover or just a great haircut, color, or style. I get it all done every 6 weeks and every time I walk out of that salon and I am more than satisfied. My boyfriend has been going to him for years, he looks great always and as a Christmas gift to me , my bf had me get a total makeover since I claimed I needed one. Since then I am a loyal customer and I must admit I get so many complements on my hair color, style, and cut. I do try to change it up a bit and Paul keeps me updated with what is in and hot. He keeps me looking so sheek. Paul does it all, fixes what one might call a disaster hair-color done on my sister. My friend got an updated hairdo. I have being going to Mario Gonzales for nearly 7 years at Kisma. He is awesome, he effortlessly gives a precision cut ,whether you like traditional or New York's latest, he attends hair shows all over the country to maintain his edge. He is an expert hair colorist (not run of the mill color, he mixes and matches to give you a unique color -especially for you). He also is hillarious which is a bonus. I consider Mario to be more than my stylist, he is a great friend. Kisma itself, is very stylish decorated, tasteful and welcoming without being snooty like other Aboretum salons. Annette the owner is a key element to the establistment, and her excellent taste and dedication to her salon, and staff is evident. Staff is so friendly and fun. Kisma is a fabulous spa. My husband surprised me with a massage and facial with Stephen and Kim - and now I will not go anywhere else. Lance cuts my hair and does a great job. The people I talk to there are friendly, helpful and fun to be around. Anyone I have seen there takes time to listen to my needs and follows through on their care. After going through a horrible hi-light disaster at my usual salon, a friend told me I should go see her stylist, Stacey, at Kisma Salon. When I met Stacey for a consultation, I was upset and scared my hair was completely damaged. She not only took great care of me, but she took the time to listen to what I wanted, and we looked through several pictures to make sure we were both on the same page. Stacey is an amazing stylist and I highly recommend her. The staff at Kisma is attentive, very friendly, and they completely pamper you while you're there--which is great if you are going after a long day of work! I just moved to the Austin area, and my best friend's been going to Stacey over the past year. She always looks gorgeous, and I wanted that too, so I booked an apointment! It's like an art with Stacey, like she's painting or sculpting with your hair. I've never seen anyone with such passion, technique and 'in-the-know' of the latest trends in cuts and color. \r \r I loved my new cut , color and finishing style...and booked my next appointment with Stacey right away! She also provides great Aveda product knowledge, and was able to suggest shampoo and finishing spray that would work well with my new look! \r \r Since my most recent visit, I decided I wanted to be daring, and take more off the length. It was time to settle down...\r \r I've been flitting from hairstylist to hairstylist all my life...and now I've finally found the One!!! Stacey is?a miracle. No more no less. I walked in and said to Stacey, ?Make me look chic and fabulous.? And she did. I walked out with a haircut I?ve felt more comfortable wearing, than any other. Not to mention the best part of all...the color!!! For years I've sought after the right shade of blonde, only to have other stylists fall short. Not Stacey though!!! \r \r Now people react to me differently, and I feel more *sassy!!* It?s hard to find a great stylist, one that you can trust with the most defining characteristic one has - their HAIR. \r \r She seemed instantly at ease, once you sit in her chair to discuss your style options. Stacey said she likes to work ?with the hair?s texture instead of against it.? Afterwords, you get the best shampoo/scalp massage imaginable!! \r \r Upon finishing, I looked into the mirror...only to see exactly what I had invisioned and more!! I am new to Austin and found Kisma on CitySearch. The ratings were all very high so I made an appointment.. \r \r The salon staff was very nice --Mariah was very warm and friendly. Raquel was my stylist and I needed help to go from the summer blonde highlights to a warmer brown and she chose the perfect color. Before the cut, all I asked was ""not too short"" and she explained what she was going to do----I loved how she cut it!\r \r I would highly recommend the salon and will refer my friends. I finally found the best haircolor I have received in 10 years with Lance at Kisma.\r He took so much time matching my skin tone to color that it had to be beautiful.\r Fantastic! Pros: Easy going atmosphere more
