In light of my bad experience, the owner has completely made amends. I appreciate and commend her integrity. (It is approximately a month since the haircut. My hair has grown out some now. I like the length much better. The cut has held up well through the ""growing out"" process.) more

Got a great cut and color. Lynn only did a partial highlight on me and it looked better than any full highlight I've ever gotten at comparable salons... Plus, it took WAY less time. She matches the color very well to your complexion etc...results are excellent. Also, I saw someone come in for a spray tan and when they left, it looked GREAT, very natural and like she had just been on vacation. Overall a wonderful experience and I would recommend Karma to anyone, especially Blondes! Pros: they even play great music! Cons: its not cheap...but not overpriced for Athens, either. more

Karma is a unique experience! As a student I would normally drive an hour and a half home to have my hair done...that was UNTIL I discovered Karma! Now...after graduation, I will be driving 4 hours just to come to Karma! Lynn and Lisa are expert stylists and colorists and I would not trust my hair to anyone else. An upbeat, fun, and relaxing environment provides a total escape (which is just what I expect) when I go to have my hair done or to get an airbrush tan! Thanks ladies!!! I really look forward to my Karma Time. Lynn and her gang are wonderful. I always walk out of there looking and feeling like a million bucks, I love the way the whole Karma team works together and makes it really special for the customer--many businesses could take a lesson from this one. Go, girls--you're great! Pros: Lynn is a gifted colorist and she's assembled a great team. Cons: None that I can think of. more

The Best Hair Salon in Athens 2/6/2010

Prior to coming to Lynn at Karma years ago, the hair stylist had my color too blond, and it didn't look natural. Lynn makes my hair look like I am a natural blond with highs and lows. She has a great personality and makes me feel so welcome when I come. I have been a customer for at least 15 years. As long as I have Lynn at Karma, I can continue having beautiful blonde hair. Pros: Lynn knows color like no other! Cons: I can't bring Arthur, my English bulldog. more

Best Place in Athens for Hair!! 2/5/2010

Karma salon is the best! Lynn does a great job of understanding what I want in my hair color and cut each time I visit the salon. I am always nervous when trying out a new salon, but boy am I glad I did. They are so friendly and professional. I will be going for a spray tan soon and I am so excited! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! more

Some things you just know.... 2/4/2010

There are some things in life that you just know to do. Like sending a thank you card when you receive a gift. Or drinking a glass of milk with your oreos. I would be honored to be the one to tell you one other thing to add to the list of things you just know... You go to Karma Salon if you want excellent results that surpass those lofty expectations we tend to have when it comes to our appearances. Karma has professionals who are passionate about their work, and persistent in their efforts to be the best at what they do. Because color happens when Karma comes around. ;) Pros: A guy asked me what beach I went to after I got my spray on! Cons: You won't be satisfied with any other salon! more

I'm very picky about my cuts and my color. The place is fantastic. We discussed different color options that would suit my facial features and skin tone. I absolutely love it. Lynn is meticulus and a perfectionist who knows color and cuts! Thank you for a great outcome. I 've had several compliments on how great my hair looks. more

Love my tans & hair 2/4/2010

I have been coming to Karma for two years now. At first, I went just for the spray tan. Ive always been skeptical about spray on tans- thinking they would be orange.. NOT HERE. They mix your color by hand and apply it with an airbrush machine- so its even.. NEVER STREAKY! \r I also have gotten my hair done at karma and loved it. Lynn is great too- my appt was around lunch one day, and she heard my stomach growling, so she offered me some food that she brought for her own lunch! Needless to say, it was delicious! The new location on Baxter St.is so modern and edgy, just like the staff at Karma. They are always coming up with the most innovative techniques and products to make my hair look fantastic. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!! 2/2/2010

Was very disappointed with the services I received and the $$$ we had to pay. Charged over $500 for my mother and I to have our hair colored and cut. Then had to go pay extra to have it repaired!!! Stay away from this salon. Very over priced and under trained. Cons: ALOT more

The staff at Karma salon is very welcoming. I have only been using Karma for a short period of time and they have done an excellent job on my cuts as well as my color! They also know a lot about their products and can help you get great healthy looking hair. They take the time to get to know what their clients like and don't like and I have really enjoyed my experience there. Pros: Very good with cuts and color!!! more
