Imagix Dental Review

Editorial review from Citysearch 11/5/2013

I have mixed emotions about his review. The staff at this place is great. Most everyone is a pleasure to speak with and they make you feel welcomed and appreciated. The office manager can be a little moody but she’s still polite.\r In May of 2011 I went in to have my tooth fixed. I had decay and Dr. Aaron said I would need a crown. About 2 weeks after the crown was seated I noticed a smell coming from my tooth. I had another appointment for a cleaning a few weeks later and brought it up. Dr. Aaron looked at the tooth with his mirror he took no x-ray or anything but said it all looked good. I asked so why does it smell fowl? He said maybe I wasn’t flossing properly and maybe I should mouthwash before brushing. I was dissatisfied with his response and the fact that he really didn’t examine the issue. I should have left then!\r I got busy (as live goes sometimes) and didn’t see any dentist for a year. When returned the office had moved and there was a new dentist Dr. Victor. Dr. Victor is definitely more thorough than Dr. Aaron. On my first x-ray Dr. Victor noticed that I was developing a cavity under my crown. He said that the crown had not been seated corrected and was allowing particles to get under the crown. After he was done I told him Imagix had done it and that I had complained about the smell within a month of it being installed and was told nothing was wrong. I made an appointment for them to fix that tooth and told the office I would not be paying for the repairs. After they discussed it they decided that they would “allow” the work to be free. \r I had already decided that I needed to find another dentist but I wanted them to fix my tooth and I was being lazy about moving. \r My last appointment at this office was for seating my replacement crown and defiantly the last straw. My visit was HORRIBLE. The dental assistant that worked with me was very sweet and apologetic for my visit.\r My wait to be seen was 20 mins. The wait to been seen at this office is ALWAYS at least 20mins. Since moving to their new location visits are like playing cat and mouse with the dentist. It seems there is only Dr. Victor for the adult patients. He is never with you for the extent of your visit as he is literally in multiple mouths in one visit. He comes in and out which make your visit longer than necessary. In addition Dr. Victor refuses to cover his nose and mouth with his mask, so good bad or indifferent his breath is literally in your nose and mouth! \r On my last visit, he comes in and does some stuff for 2 mins then he disappears for 20 mins. He returns for 5 mins and disappears for another 30 mins. \r My last visit, I waited 20 mins to be seen and sat in the chair for TWO HOURS!!!!! Seating a crown should not have been this long. I have two other crowns and they didn’t take anywhere as long. Dr. Victor was unapologetic and acted like he could care less. I guess I wasn’t paying for it so it didn’t matter. \r Needless to say I will NOT return to Imagix Dental. \r more

I believe this dental office inflates patient plans and care to be WAY MORE than the patient truly needs. On getting a second opinion about my teeth when Imagix told me I needed 2 crowns and 4 fillings, I was shocked to hear that my case was nowhere near that severe. I have had extensive dental work with Dentist, Orthodontists, and Maxillary/Cosmetic Surgeons alike and I DO take good care of my teeth although I have stepped up on critical flossing after being so frightened from my visit here. No one enjoys dental work, but this business made me infuriated and scared. No dental staff should ignore their patient's apprehensive emotions about dental care! more

Run do not walk from this office 12/12/2011

I have never been so upset with a dental office in my life. In March of 2011, I set up cleanings for my three sons and told the person I made appointment with that I only wanted cleaning and xrays if my insurance covered both. I went with my 13 year old. I felt like I was at a chain hair salon. They tried to upsell me on flouride, mouth wash etc. When my other two sons went (college age) They came home with a bottle each of mouth wash (40 bucks a pop) They forced my 22 year old to sign for treatment and went on to do 5 sets of xrays. I went in to return the mouthwashes and they would not let me leave until I paid $60.00. Very very agressive. I was then told my 22 year old had 5 cavities. I tried to reason with Rachel the office manager but she was rude and was not responsive. (very robotic) I finally emailed owner, we met and he said he would take all the extra charges off and sent me a refund for $67.00. Fast forward six months later (October 2011)I receive a 90 day late bill for 248.00(service was done in March 2011)I called and Rachel informed me that insurance did not pay. I called my insurance and they said it was not filed until October and my son's insurance capped out at $500. Since I had to take my son to another dentist and Imagix sent xrays that were not my son's they had to take new xrays and he did not have 5 cavities he had 2. I went in and tried to ask for explanation regarding some extras not taken off and why so many xrays. I asked why they did not contact my insurance and Rachel said she would not do that. I went to find the dentist because I was getting nowhere with her. She threatend to call the police if I did not leave. more

State-of-the-art, nice friendly serivce 1/28/2009

I started going to Imagix because they were close to my job and I could make appts. during lunch. I found the service to be state-of-the-art, fast and friendly. I did experience one incident where my flexible benefits card wouldn't work and rather than let me see the doctor, they told me I had to be rescheduled. I was outraged and decided not to go back. However, once the doctor and supervisor found out about the incident, they were very persistent in their apologies and showed great care in convincing me they wanted me to remain a patient. Pros: State-of-the-art, fast and friendly service Cons: Personnel changes often, money hungry more
