Basic cable at a reasonable bulk rate, with Broadband internet for only $ 20.00 a month. All at below market rate! The management is always available, and when it is needed to be out of the office; If you leave a proper voice mail, your call is returned when they return to the office!!!! More over they are there for you, not just to collect the rent. Just take a moment to sit down with one of the staff!! Immeadiatly you will see they are concerned with you, your question or problem, or idea! And if they can not give you an answer right there and then they will do their best to find out for you. Also work orders are taken care of in a day or two, along with the elevator ( which goes down in every building that has one ) is repaired in hours; not weeks or months!!! And anyone with common sense knows if you park on the public strreet, two thing can happen. 1- repairs are required from time to time ( like when the whole street was repaved for us and our pleasure ). 2- regardless what neighborhood you live in, someone tries to break in to a car ( this is downtown ). And not one building,business private home,ETC. can prevent this!!!!! After all You moved here, of your own desire.\r In conclusion, I am one of the first tenants still living here. Teweles started out as a great place to live, and continnues to be so; with constant upgrades to the building and ammenities to us tenants. Regardless of your income, or status everyone is made to feel equal and welcome. All you have to do is make this a home!!! Pros: Great Apts. Stay away!!! This is the worst experience I've ever had at an apartment. Unsafe neighborhood, garbage everywhere, argumentive and unhelpful management, constant fire alarms, constant elevater outages, overpriced. Road all around building is under construction, so parking close to the building is not possible creating an even more unsafe situation. Vandalism and garbage everywhere. The management makes a lot of empty promises and are never around when there is a problem. Don't waste your time. It may be ok for the rent reduced rates, but as someone who pays a premium to live on one of the upper floors I shouldn't be paying what I am. Biggest mistake of my life and it's really too bad because it really seemed like it would be great, being so close to the 3 Ward and downtown. I can't imagine what it looked like before because it's not great now. I had to get parking because of all the brake-ins. The parking went up 40$ a few weeks later when they said that the street was going to be repaired and there would be no place to park anyplace nearby. That is really what I would consider kicking us when we're down. There are like 2 people who work here which is unexcusable with all the scary stuff that goes on here. Someone set fire to basement when we moved in, there were fire alarms almost every week for awhile, then somebody tagged the lobby, one time someone sprayed a fire extinuisher all over the hall and it sat there for 3 days, someone was constantly pissing in elevators, people were alway v0miting the elevators, somebody smashed in the front door glass of the building, then the fire alarms on my floor was smashed in after they went off 2 hrs or longer one time, when i had to get up and move that morning at 6am. then the air conditiong went out in the middle of heatwave and then elevators. when you complain about this managers tell you that there is nothing they can do. i'm totally not even kidding. this all really happened and that's why i got out. too scary and too gross at too high a price. Although I wasn't a Section 42 customer, I just endured one year's lease worth of Section 42 related headaches and other disappointments that were only compounded by the mysterious disappearance of onsite staff halfway through my yea of rentingr. Truly, the only time CommonBond was available or accessible was when they wanted my signature on the lease. Like invisible ink, the management quickly evaporated thereafter, leaving me to fend for myself against consistenly broken elevators, unbelievable neighbor noise, car vandalism (while parked indoors!), unexplainable energy bills, and ever-filthier public spaces. \r \r Originally, I was told that a cleaning staff serviced the building -- yet I have seen no one cleaning in a full year. The elevators, lobby areas, garages and parking lots are forever filled with refuse, usually souveniers from the previous night's boorish partying. As a single woman, I certainly never felt comfortable living in a frat house, especially entering alone, late on weekend nights. Despite numerous vandalisms of personal and public properties, the building offers no security service and it's quite literally an open door for property damage. There is little reaction from the management, as if denial and silence was somewhat reassuring.\r \r Living here isn't complete until the moment you realize, this is as good as it will ever get. Unfortunately it's all downhill from there. There is no real return on the time, energy and frustration you will waste here.\r \r Note: While the heated air may be free, something needs to move it into your unit, and that's where the cost comes in. Running the fan can be very expensive in summer (for A/C) or winter (for heat) -- due to the poor insulation, your HVAC unit is eternally struggling to affect the temperature. Also note: outside of your apt and the 1st floor, common areas are not air-conditioned in summer, making for even higher bills and very stuffy halls. None of this is clearly explained upfront. Great building, great staff. Heat is included, so i'm not sure why someone would write a review saying it should be free, when it is already free. The landlord company is so much better than the other section 42 properties in Milwaukee. I used to live at a Gorman property and they were truly the worst landlord ever, so kudos to commonbond and teweles for a job well done. Terrible insulation...it actually does not have any so its freezing all the time, even with the heat on. They did not caulk cracks and probably did not caulk anything outside. Cheap walls and poor construction of windows. They should offer free heat with how poorly this place holds heat. Oh well, this will be my only winter here, trust me. Pros: Staff, nice looking, size Cons: Insulation, heat, freezing, wont do anything about how cold it gets more
