Worst experience ever!! 9/9/2011

NEW OWNERS ARE RUDE TOO!! Iv been dealing with them for about a year now, I went in originally and told the lady I cant spend over $599 for a dress and would really like it if she could cater to that, I went in for my appointment(with my Fiance because he was buying the Dress), I got there and there was a young girl and an older woman, The old woman gave me attitude right away because my Fiance was there,She Asked when I was getting Married and I said ""August"" She looked at me with a weird face and said ""Oh its a little to early to be looking for a dress"" So then I told them a second time I cant afford anything over $599, She Brings out an Alfred Angelo Dress that I FELL in love with!! I try it and it started crying because I fell in love with it! I Asked her the price and she said $799 Plus the price for alterations and extras, I got upset and so did my Fiance, I told her that I was upset because I could only spend $599 or under and I cant purchase this dress! She then says ""Oh well If you cant afford it, we can set up a payment plan!) and I said I didnt want to do that, I want to be able to leave with the Dress, When I asked her to show me a Dress I could afford she said ""OH, dont you know wedding dresses are expensive?"" I instantly got angry and left, She was so rude to me and I felt like she didnt listen to anything I had to saw, She also Argued with the younger girl the whole time!! So my wedding was put on hold because I couldnt afford a Dress, I dont suggest this place to anyone, I emailed them and asked if they had any ""AS Is"" Wedding dresses and went down today and I walk in and said ""Hello, Im here to get some prices for the ""as is"" wedding dresses"" and the young lady says ""Oh you were supose to be here at 12:00"", In the email we never made an appointment, she told me to come in whenever, So in the email said she there were some cheap dresses, I go in today and she says they start at $799 and go up,so then I ask, do you have any white bridesmaid dresses, She looks at me and says ""yes but none that will fit you"" I turned around and walk out, DO NOT GO HERE, THEY LIKE TO MAKE YOU FEEL HORRIBLE ABOUT YOUR SELF! more

New Owner- Same Horrible Quality 1/7/2011

Heidi's Bridal has been taken under a new owner as of around the middle of 2010, they even moved a couple of buildings down on the same street. My first experience was when I first got engaged in may I went in and was blatantly ignored, But I did get the woman working there, who was later fired, to tell me they had big plans once they moved in a couple months, and to definitely come back then. So I eagerly waited for the new store to open up, and once it did I went in and talked to the new owner, her condecending attitude and all, and her teenage daughter. They were still in the processing of moving in but had plently of dresses out, they had me look through a maggie sottero book and each one I said I liked they said they were supposed to be getting in. I then found out that the owner went and talked to a mutal aquaintance about me, and how I was asking her to order all these dresses just so I could try them on and she thought I was stupid. Great customer service skills right there. I've gone back twice since, the first time I was ignored yet again by the owners daughter who barely even looked up from her laptop when I walked in. And the second time was to basically find a casual way to bring up and rub in the fact that they lost a $3000 sale for just my dress alone, and a funny thing happened, I was ignored yet again! I'm so glad I found the perfect dress, and didnt have to deal with these lazy arrogant people. I would never wish any body to go through them, there are two great bridal shops right in concord with isnt far away from claremont at all and of course there is always davids bridal in nashua, both exponentially better options than this excuse for a bridal shop. more

Wonderful Experience With Heidi 12/29/2009

I had two wonderful experiences with Heidi,my daughter got married this past May her dress was bought at David's Bridal Heidi altered her dress beautifully.... I purchased my dress at Heidi's for her wedding again great job with alterations.\r I am now getting married I tried on about 12 dresses Heidi was very helpful in helping me decide.Important questions she asked me that I didn't think of.Like where are you getting married inside or out.Formal or informal reception.Theses are important questions as nobody wants a beach wedding dress while having a reception at a Golf Club or fancy lodge.Heidi made herself available to me she is even open on sundays for appointments...I would go back and refer her to family and friends.Great personality.. I am a size 5 my dress was a 12 altered my dress perfectly..Carmine13 Pros: Allowed me all the time I needed trying on dresses more

She basically called me fat! 9/2/2009

I bought my 7 bridesmaid dresses from Heidi's because it was near where the wedding would be. At first Heidi seemed ok. The other girls working there were nice. I live in CT so I decided to get my wedding gown form a local David's Bridal so it would be convenient for me to get my alterations. David's Bridal did an ok job with my alterations but I hated the placement of the capped sleeves after they were shortened. So I took my gown to heidi's since she was doing all the bridesmaids and asked if she could fix it since DB basically refused. I was actually really impressed by the fact that she said she would do it even though I didn't buy it there and she actually did a good job with it. \r \r That aside, on the day we went to go pick up the altered bridesmaid dresses, everyone was unhappy. The alterations were horrible. They were strapless dresses, so they were supposed to be taken in enough up top so the girls didn't feel like they were going to fall off. The chest area looked pointy, unflattering and ugly. She had also sewn in some padding, which she nicely offered to do, but neglegted to tell the bridesmaids that it would be an additional cost. So when they went to pay, not only were they unhappy with how the dresses looked, but they had to pay even more than they had expected.\r \r The whole time I worked with her I felt that she was being fake, if she was even acting nice at all, and I did not feel like she appreciated our business. \r \r Then, 2 years after my wedding, my friend decided to get her wedding gown there, and at the same time she was looking at bridesmaid dresses to see if there was anything she liked. She found a few that she wanted me and the rest of her bridal party to try on (I'm in the wedding too). So I made a special trip to Claremont from CT to try on dresses with one other bridesmaid who i had never met. She is tall and skinny, so i was feeling really self concious. I am short and overweight. I wear a size 12-14 pants so I'm not huge, just not skinny. So I was really not looking forward to trying gowns on until I lost some weight but my freind wanted me there. When I walked in, not only did Heidi not recognize me or even acknowledge that she knew me, but she was flat out RUDE! We had tried a few dresses on, and she was running around seemingly busy. When she fianlly took the time to ask us if we needed anythng I said that I needed a bigger size in a couple of the dresses. With a dead serious, blank stare, she says, ""Have you looked in the Plus Size section yet??"" I was SO embarrassed! I don't even shop in the plus size section normally, (not that there is anything worng with that) but to say that in the middle of the store in front of the people, when I was already feeling really bad about my weight, was completey appalling! She might as well have said, ""You're fat."" \r \r I will never go there again. Pros: I had one good experience Cons: poor alterations and poor attitude from heidi more

Rude, lazy and phony owner, terrible alterations 9/21/2008

Shop here if you absolutely must but take your dress elsewhere to be altered. She will seem nice when she is trying to get you to spend money there but everything else will be a nightmare. I wouldn't even send an enemy to shop here.\r \r My wedding dress needed to be taken in (I'm quite petite). I was measured in November when I bought the dress. When tried it on in April it was cut and pinned for alteration but was taken in too much. Heidi was too busy with girls buying prom dresses to do any adjustments on my dress so we decided to deal with it closer to the wedding (September).\r \r When I came in August to make the adjustments and finish the alteration I arrived to find that it had already been sewn up! Heidi's daughter was working the front and informed us that we would need to make an appointment to even talk to Heidi (even though there was no other customers in the shop). Heidi only came up after I got a bit loud. \r \r Instead of apologizing and offering to re-alter the dress Heidi made it sound like it was MY FAULT that the dress didn't fit and even suggested that I ""drink more water"" (ie: lose weight). How rude and humiliating! I cried for a couple days and even considered buying a new dress because this one looked so bad on me. \r \r I had to make 5 trips in 4 days to fix the amateurish alteration. She eventually put boning in the bodice and got the proportions basically correct. The skirt should have been brought up from the waist but she told me it wouldn't work because the hips were too narrow (except for when I picked it up and folded it over to show her... apparently it was too much effort). \r \r When my mom made yet another trip to pick up the dress after the final alteration Heidi hung the dress up, said ""There you go"", turned around and walked away. No ""thank you""? C U next Tuesday.\r \r Heidi, if you don't want to deal with brides or alterations get into another line of work! For your sake I hope your reputation won't precede you. Cons: Terrible alterations and service more

Run Away Fast 9/16/2008

Heidi's is an awful place to spend even a dime. She is very condescending. She doesn't get orders right. The alterations are HORRID. All of my bridesmaid dresses looked like a fifth grader sewed them(she managed to make one look like it had giant nipples on it) Worst of all my wedding dress was ruined by her. You're supposed to feel beautiful on your wedding day, but the way she butchered my dress, I felt embarrassed. She really needs to be put out of business. I don't know how she lives with herself. I'm putting negative reviews wherever I can in order to spare others of the pain she has caused me. Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING more
