Shop here if you absolutely must but take your dress elsewhere to be altered. She will seem nice when she is trying to get you to spend money there but everything else will be a nightmare. I wouldn't even send an enemy to shop here.\r
\r
My wedding dress needed to be taken in (I'm quite petite). I was measured in November when I bought the dress. When tried it on in April it was cut and pinned for alteration but was taken in too much. Heidi was too busy with girls buying prom dresses to do any adjustments on my dress so we decided to deal with it closer to the wedding (September).\r
\r
When I came in August to make the adjustments and finish the alteration I arrived to find that it had already been sewn up! Heidi's daughter was working the front and informed us that we would need to make an appointment to even talk to Heidi (even though there was no other customers in the shop). Heidi only came up after I got a bit loud. \r
\r
Instead of apologizing and offering to re-alter the dress Heidi made it sound like it was MY FAULT that the dress didn't fit and even suggested that I ""drink more water"" (ie: lose weight). How rude and humiliating! I cried for a couple days and even considered buying a new dress because this one looked so bad on me. \r
\r
I had to make 5 trips in 4 days to fix the amateurish alteration. She eventually put boning in the bodice and got the proportions basically correct. The skirt should have been brought up from the waist but she told me it wouldn't work because the hips were too narrow (except for when I picked it up and folded it over to show her... apparently it was too much effort). \r
\r
When my mom made yet another trip to pick up the dress after the final alteration Heidi hung the dress up, said ""There you go"", turned around and walked away. No ""thank you""? C U next Tuesday.\r
\r
Heidi, if you don't want to deal with brides or alterations get into another line of work! For your sake I hope your reputation won't precede you.
Cons: Terrible alterations and service
