If you are looking for a good and sincere Doctor look elsewhere, I never thought that I would be stuck with a ridiculous bill for unnecessary procedures. I came in suffering from excruciating foot pain I experienced first thing every morning that started during my 2nd trimester of pregnancy. It was so debilitating I could barely walk. After speaking with my OB she recommended I see a foot specialist. I should have noticed the red flags after the Dr told me there was not much they could do due to the fact that x-rays would be out of the question for me yet he was so speedy to list out a whole bunch of items that I would need: orthotics, night splint and he sent me on my way with pneumatic walking splint that did little for me.\r After I expressed my concern that the boot would be difficult for me to put on without any assistance his assistant assured me I would figure it out and find somebody that could help me to put it on, seriously?! The next day I was notified that my insurance would not cover the Dr’s recommendations so I declined the rest of the items. I did my own research and found out the best way to treat my diagnoses and found a night splint that made all the difference in the world for under $20 and stretching exercises. 3 months later I receive a bill for $260 ($220 is for the splint that I only wore for that one day, what makes it hard to swallow is after a quick search I found it online for $79.99). I immediately called them and explained that had I known the costs of the boot I would have declined the item in the first place as it was completely unnecessary especially in my condition. The billing person was very kind and said she would check with the Dr to see if there was anything they could do. She called me back and said the Dr wanted to see me again and see if there was something else he could recommend (Really $$$) and he would be able to give me a discount at that point, WTF?! This is after I had told her I was able to find relief on my own. Maybe to some people it might not seem like much but with a new baby on the way, I don’t know of anybody that would have $200 to throw away on something you never needed. more

Fantastic and So courteous! 8/22/2011

The staff was so helpful, the doctors were kind and professional and the facility was comfortable and clean. The doctors were prompt in getting back to me with results and the staff was very helpful with any general questions that I had. Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend these professionals to anyone who needed to seek a podiatrist professionals treatment. more

Generally bad experience 5/22/2011

Lets see--they lost my file and I had to wait an hour to see the doctor. I did as instructed and set up a follow up appointment and asked if they would let me know if my test results hadn't come in and I was assured that they would. I showed up for the appointment and was told the test results weren't in but it was a follow up to check if my biopsies were healing OK--lie! When the doctor came in and asked how I was I let him know I was very unhappy so he did credit my co-pay. He said he would call me with the results. I got a call that Friday from the office stressing that I should answer my phone on Monday because the doctor would be calling me. You guessed it--no call. On Wednesday I called the office complaining and then the doctor called me that afternoon. After all that I have a name for my problem but there is nothing that they can try except one of the expensive drugs they advertise on TV with side effects worse than the condition. What a waste of time and money. more

Excellent 2/24/2011

East Valley Foot and Ankle is the BEST. Upon entering the office I was greeted by a very helpful and friendly receptionist who made me feel right at home. I had called a few days earlier and left a message, and the office called back the next day, and set an appointment for me the same week. I saw Dr Cicchinelli, who was very helpful and answered all my questions. He made me feel like my problems were important to him, and gave me the help I needed. I would recommend East Valley Foot and Ankle to all my friends. In a time where the customer service seems to be slipping at most Doctors offices, the service here was over the top. THANK YOU more

Call ahead to confirm your appointment time! 1/15/2010

I have been going to Dr. Cicchinelli since last fall. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. That said, the office staff at East Valley Foot & Ankle is terrible! They are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered, both on the phone and in person, specifically at the check-out. Be sure to call the day before to confirm your appointment time, as I have had my appointment time changed without notification, and am lucky I called to confirm the appointment. You are also supposed to get disabled parking permit applications from the check-out desk--they will get very annoyed when you ask for one (or assistance with any disability forms). If it weren't for Dr. Cicchinelli, I would have switched offices because of the office staff. I can't wait until I am fully recovered from surgery so I (hopefully) never have to go here again! Pros: doctors Cons: office staff, especially at checkout more

Don't question the staff or they will call the police! 12/29/2009

Don't go there if you have a schedual to follow. I refused to wait so long and went to the front desk to complain. I was told I seemed upset and that the doctor would not see me. I was ask to leave. When I asked for my records I was told the police would be called if I did not leave. Worst place I have ever visted. Pros: Nearby Cons: They will kick you out of their office if you ask questions more

Your info isnt safe 11/17/2009

Your info isnt safe here I know one of the record keepers. Her name is Gina Bowman and she takes her files home with her of the patients and lets friends read them. I know this cause I have read documents of patients. I am writing to let people aware that this person is letting people read important information, that should be confidential. Pros: Great doctors Cons: Info is givin out more
