ZERO STARS FOR GREEN CAR COMPANY\r \r We really appreciate the work that Chad and his crew at Monroe Foreign Auto Repair did with our car. We had put off basic maintenance because we'd been looking for a good diesel mechanic for my VW TDI for awhile. When my timing belt went last month my car sat for a week at the Green Car Company and they still hadn't even looked at it. This left me scrambling to get to work and when we let them know we needed our car repaired in a timely manner they were rude to us and told us it was in the way in their yard. I had Chad tow the car to his shop (which was free) and he had it in the shop that very day, and back to me very quickly - even with major engine repair necessary. We would definitely recommend his shop and not the Green Car Company - for any kind of vehicle! Also, we will be in the market for a second TDI in the next 6 months and guess where we are not going to go? That's right, the Green Car Company... more

Recently purchased an electric bike here based on short alley ride. After a long ride realized the bike geometry would not work for me, was told I could not return the bike by all the staff at store and was treated like I was trying to tip THEM off, in spite of the fact that there was no information given to me about their return policy. It was only after a long back and forth battle that they were willing to give the refund. It is really unacceptable to be treated like a thief when a legitimate return is needed. All the other bike stores in the area do allow for returns, even on custom bikes in some cases. They had very unethical approach to dealing with my concerns. I have received their newsletter for some time now but I have not actually gone there in person. I just received my latest newsletter with an offer for a free oil change if I bring in a food or toy donation for Hopelink or Northwest Harvest. I could not pass that up so I brought in my Toyota Sienna today for the oil change. Everyone there was nice and helpful. The tech even caught a nail in my tire that I had not noticed and sent me to Les Schwab to get it fixed. I really appreciated that since he gets no money for that. The customer service is top-notch. They have a clean comfortable showroom to wait in with free wi fi and really cool electric cars and bikes. I service my Prius at the shop there. Very friendly mechanics expecially Dan. He is so helpful and willing to explain everything. I had them install an EV button into my Prius so I can get some pure electric drive like they do in Japan. It is really cool how it works. I also bought a scan gauge that helps you get max fuel economy. Green Car has loaners too which is nice because I could never get them at the last dealer I went to for service. I own a Volvo and I have been taking my car to the dealer for awhile and paying a fortune for lackluster service. I finally had enough of it so I started asking friends and colleagues for referrals. One of my co-workers who owns a volvo had bought and serviced their car at green car company. So i thoght i would give them a try. Green car gives consumers choices that the other auto dealerships do not. They really get it about peak oil. I bought an electric bike and I love it. I met one of the staff at a peak oil seminar and she was simply amazing. she really knows her stuff and she is very sincere and committed. If you are worried about peak oil and resource depletion, either get rid of your car or buy a biodiesel car, electric bike, smart car, plug in from Green Car. i bought my golf there and I sure love getting 45 mpg! The staff there was no pressure and extremely helpful. They taught me how to use biodiesel and explained how to maintain my diesel. They really check out each car extensively and deliver a quality product. My car was missing the owners manual and they found me one on ebay and did not charge me. Right after I bought the car, a light burned out and the tech, Dan replaced it for me on my lunch hour and would not take any money. Ok...so they need a bigger place with more parking. But they are doing such cool things. We bought a TDI Golf. Couldn't believe how quick and easy it was. No pressure,no hassles. I saw this company's display at folklife this year and was very excited to try out and purchase a new A2B electric bicycle. I got there and tried it out for an hour (no problems test driving - HEY FREE ADVERTISING IN BELLEVUE!!), and was very excited to purchase the bike for the the sale price advertised at folklife for $2,499, down from $2,699. The salesperson I spoke to denied that they ever were advertising it for the $2,499. I had to ensure both him and his manager that I'd give referrals to my friends if they were interested in a bike, and also bring in my old BMX bike so they could ""donate it to charity"" (and I now have my doubts about whether it would have made it to charity). During all of this, their garage crony muscle men were walking all around me flapping their shirts aggressively, a clear attempt at intimidation during negotiation, and an extremely poor business practice. I decided I had a few concerns about the potential purchase after some further talk about the product itself and decided that I wanted a 2nd test drive. They implied that I was trying to steal the bike! After reassuring them and forking over my debit card and driver's license once more, I returned after my hour to find that the salesperson had left on his dinner break with both of my cards! I had to wait 15 minutes for his return, and I have some concern about charges that may show up on my card as a result. That's how you lose a sale folks. These guys are truly green. Not just electric cars but the whole gamut of types including newest releases. This is one of the few eco-friendly car dealerships in the whole nation. Bio diesel to SMART cars etc. Recommended. more

I took my car to another shop and they told me I needed brakes, axles, shocks and more - over $2000 worth of stuff. I saw their shop while I was eating lunch in downtown Bellevue and was looking around. I told one of the techs about my car. He actually put it on the lift while I waited and showed my that there was nothing wrong with my car but front brakes. They replaced my front brakes and rotors and saved me over $1500. I am sold on their honesty and expertise. Plus they have cool cars to look at while I wait. Highly recommend. Pros: honest techs, cool cars Cons: i wish I could afford one of the plug in hybrids!!!! more

I bought a Prius from The Green Car Company recently. They were so nice and patient with me. The first car I have purchased in 10 years. They actually allowed me to take it to my mechanic to check it out. My mechanic said it was in great shape!! Further,they charged a very fair price. This place is a joke, every time I go in there is a new person working. I was thinking maybe they were just hiring some flakes but when managers all the way to lot boys quit, they need to take a look at themselves. There used to be well over 30 people working at the company, last time i went they only had 1 ""customer service person"" and 1 mechanic at the shop. Some of the employees on the way out have let me know tsome things about what the company is really like, i took it with a grain of salt due to they were mad, but it seems they were right. They didn't ""loose a lease"" on their old shop, they couldn't afford it anymore due to no return business. Looks like they are going to borrow money until they finally go under. I never get a call back and when i call to ask if my part has came in, the person i ordered it form doesn't work there any more... this place is a total joke. Green car company is simply amazing. The sales staff is extremely wells versed and very good at returning phone calls, usually the same day. Notably, they know much mor about the prius that any I talked to at a number ot toyoat dealerships! Service staff is also very friendly, and have gone to great lengths to investige any service issues (of which there are few). Pros: Service, Very Informative and Friendly Cons: Only have a few green vehicles to choose from, but that will change as more come out! more

Great service. Helped us finance on the car we really wanted. Were amenable to fixing problems on the car before we made it official. The problem is we've had the car since the beginning of February and still have temporary license plates. Oh, and there car repair place seems sort of a mess. We went to pick the car up on a few occasions because they said it was ready and it wasn't. We live in seattle and have a small child and they are in Kirkland so it was a bit of a hassle driving out there twice only to find out the work wasn't done yet after they said it was. The sales office, however, is fantastic! Jolene is wonderful. Bryce is really nice. more
