Great Customer Service and Friendly People 4/11/2008

The Green Car Company is a great place to buy an eco-friendly vehicle. They really help you find the car that is best suited to your needs. They are really honest and helpful and go out of their way to provide good service. I bought a VW Golf and am enjoying it a great deal. I run it on Bio-diesel and feel good to do my part in keeping the environment cleaner. Their service department is great too. Go Green and go to The Green Car Company!!! We're going to get another Bio-diesel from them soon. Pros: Great customer service, low pressure sales staff Cons: no longer selling bio-diesel more

""Stuff happens"" is not what you want to hear when your car doesn't work 4/10/2008

bought my Golf TDI from The Green Car Company. I should have been worried when the battery needed a jump, but the sales guy reassured me that that often happened with cars sitting on the lot. I figured, no problem, because it had a full factory warranty. Within a few weeks, the battery was dying 2 to 3 times per day. I took it to the VW dealer, who put in a new alternator. Didn't fix it. I took it back. The dealer discovered that the previous owner had replaced the radio and driven a bolt through the main electrical harness, so they wouldn't honor the warranty. The Green Car Company's response, ""Stuff happens."" I kid you not. They assured me that they had given it their 16-point inspection, so it was my problem. Mind you, those 16 points include making sure the cup holders work. They just didn't trouble themselves with getting to the bottom of the ""battery dying"" problem. Now it's my, personal $543 problem, Thank you for taking the high road, Green Car Company. more

Green Car Company---Good People,Honest People---Mostly Fake Bad Reviews 3/26/2008

Well,I bought my first car from these guys about 3 years ago. I now count the owners as friends. They became friens because they are caring, nice people. They care about customers, they are honest and genuine people. Anyone(especially disgruntled ex-employees) can write fake reviews. I hope Don and Susan(Greg too) get the word out to enough people to trump these people that need to move on and get a life. How do i know the reviews are fake? Because if Don and Susan got a call from someone who was unhappy they would take care of it in a reasonable way!! Pros: good cars good people Cons: dumb ex employees that need to get a life!! more

STAY AWAY!! DECIETFUL AND MONEY HUNGRY COMPANY!! 3/25/2008

I should have known from the constant sales pitch since the first person I talked to that these people were only out for my money. I thought about it over the weekend and still bought the car because of the low mileage and rarity of the TDI's. WORST DECISION EVER!!! I started noticing little things missing throughout the car. When I contacted my sales person she said they go through the whole car before they sell it but she'd still have some one in service contact me about getting the parts. Still waiting on that call. Now my car is leaking oil, or what i thought was oil, and I took it to a local dealership since green car told me it was still under factory warranty, and they told me that the Injector Pump for the fuel is leaking because I was running biodiesel and thats why they only allow 5%. They also voided my warranty for going over this percentage, thanks green car!! Why did green car sell me this car as a ""Bio-Diesel"" ready car then? When I called green car they were fully aware of the Bio eating though seals and hoses. They told me to get it replaced there because it would be cheaper then the dealer. Why did they tell me to run 80% Bio in the winter and 100% in the summer?? Because they knew this was going to happen if I did and I'd be back to spend thousands of dollars again? I think so. They are fully aware of the harm Bio does to cars and fully intend this to happen so they can sell you a ""Bio-Ready"" pump. They run it in their cars before they sell it and tell you to run it as well. Heads up, find out about Bio from someone other then these scammers because they will only tell you the part they want you to know. These people would have Negative Stars if possible, on other websites as well. Do research about this company, then buy your car somewhere else. more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, WORST COMPANY EVER, TOTAL JOKE!!! 3/18/2008

This place held my car for days saying they were waiting on a part, I was without my car for longer then I have ever been, and with a full time job as well as going to night school, this was a HORRIBLE experience. They would promise my car one day then I would call around then end of the day and they would say ""the tracking number shows it was supposed to be here today but it didn't show up."" They would get short with me when I would call each day after being told the day before it would be ready. These guys are a joke, the front office, the mechanics, and especially the owners. Look on other sites and you'll see she abuses websites like these and writes positive reviews under fake names for her company. Is this the kind of person you want to make a deal with? Think your going to get a fair deal? These people are HORRIBLE excuses for humans and don't try to hide it once you commit to them and give them money. They care about green, but only green money, they are fake, poor and on the hunt, STAY AWAY!!! more

Stay Away! Very UNETHICAL Company... 3/6/2008

It makes no difference what your interaction with this Company is...Caveat Emptor! They have no sense of what Customer Service is and what the idea of taking care of the Customer truly means. Cons: Let your Imagination Run Wild... more

Green Cars ,good people, I love the Green Car Company 11/12/2007

I have been looking for a TDI for a long time. I had heard about the Green Car Company, but to be honest, was trying to avoid going to them. I had nothing against them in particular, but dealers in general. Pros: nice people, nice cars, friendly staff and environs Cons: not open on Sunday more

Best dealer experience ever; Cool environmental company! 10/30/2007

I love the Green Car Company! I went into their Kirkland, WA location not knowing what to expect. When I got there, I was surprised. They were located in an offic park/warehouse and it did not seem like a car lot at all. The place is decorated really cute in orange and green with cool stripey bamboo floors. I guess they did a complete green remodel. A really nice lady named Kelly greeted me and gave me a tour of the facility. There were such cool cars there like the Smart Car and some small electric cars called Zaps (I think). I was there to find a biodiesel car and so she turned me over to a guy named Joel. He was very nice and extremely helpful. I test drove a golf and a jetta wagon. I settled on a golf tdi because it was sportier and I don't have kids. I have only bought a car at a dealer once before when I bought my Nissan and this was a totally different experience. First of all, I never felt like I was being high-pressured. Secondly, they are really cool environmental activists and they walk their talk. There were great educational posters and handouts everywhere. My car was in great condition and already was full of biodiesel. I have been driving it all over for over 2 months now and I have not had any issues. I was referred to The Green Car Company by a neighbor who purchased a car from them and I am so glad he did. I wish that their were more ""green"" companies out their doing good business like them. I would highly recommend this company and I will refer people to them in the future. Pros: Nice people, good cars, no pressure, very informative Cons: A little hard to find more

Horrible Customer Service, Rude Employees, False Promises 3/19/2007

In early January I purchased a 2002 VW Golf Biodiesel from the Green Car Company in Kirkland, WA. After months research, I chose to purchase a biodiesel car from the Green Car Company knowing I would be driving with a nearly clean conscious and supporting a company bringing cleaner driving options into the marketplace. I knew I was paying more buying at the Green Car Company, but I was buying with my values and it thought it would be worth the extra money to support a company with a green mission. I was sorely mistaken. Pros: I like my car Cons: The staff. The owners. The service more
