These guys are the best! 3/9/2011

Our furnace died, so we needed help quick. A friend recommended G & S Heating, so we called and they came out the same day. They told us it was in need of maintanence service, so they did the work, and also mentioned that we would probably need a new furnace in the near future, as ours was getting old. Well, I guess he was right, because the furnace never did kick in fully, and we were out cold again. They came right out the next morning (less than an hour after I called), agreed to credit what we had paid toward a new furnace, and installed the new one the very next day (today), and everything is great. They even covered our stairs/carpeting to prevent tracking in dirt. All-in-all they were very responsive, professional and friendly on the phone. Thanks G&S! more

Great Service 1/15/2010

We just purchased a new home in Monroe and decided to add a home surge protector on our electrical panel, which would increase our protection if we ever get hit by lighting. G&S gave me a bid and scheduled the install. We feel our investment in a 'home surge protector' was well worth the money. Thanks G&S. Pros: Honest and on time. more

I'll try someone else 1/12/2010

I've used them on and off for several years and I've decided enough is enough. About 3 years age I had a $13k top of the line Lennox heat pump/furnace system installed. Near the end of the install they powered up the system and it had a short sending 220 volts through the system, frying one of the circuit boards. Later I got a call from them asking for another $1000 because their electrical contractor charged more than usual to install higher guage service, even though I was initially assured the bid would be the final bill. Since then, I've had to replace more boards and even the condenser, in fairness, they do not charge me for the parts/labor, but this happens during the winter and my heat bill doubles, and its cost me days off of work!! I've heard from others that Lennox systems are notorious for this kind of thing, and I'm still wondering if the short during the install cursed the whole thing. I'm not sure if G&S is responsible for the hardware, or if my aftercharge is typical, but I'm going to try another company/brand next time. more

furnace maintenance 12/7/2009

Every year a furnace needs maintenance for long trouble free service. We receive from G&S Heating a reminder post card each year indicating the time for service on the furnaces in a rental. The service person is on time, professional, and knowledgable about the units in the rental. G&S Heating also installed the heating system in our adult children's new home 3 years ago. The same service person each year does the maintenance on their home furnace. We find the cost practical and within reason. This company is my first choice in gas furnace installation and yearly service, due to long term commitment in the community and continuing so in these economical times. Shopped around, these guys were the best 12/4/2009

My gas furnace went out, I had the luxury of having a gas insert that could keep up sort of warm which gave me time to actually SHOP for a contractor (a luxury to be sure, usualy you feel pressured to get a new one in cause it's cold- so thank you Aqua Quip for the insert!). I shopped several companies, G&S did a complete look at my system and pointed out that some of the ducts we not fully connected and that the airflow had been closed - which might have caused my other furnace to go bad and which no one else pointed out. They put in a new Lennox for about the same price another company bid for an 'off brand'. They were reliable, on time, on budget and it's been three weeks now everything is great I have a new two stage ultra efficient furnace and it all looks to be working great. It's nice to see the kind of professional service and since this is a huge purchase, I wanted to recommend them. Pros: professional, low price, good product, good results more

Helping protect our product 12/3/2009

My wife & I along with a business partner own Tefft Cellars Winery. We recently expanded and opened a tasting room in Woodinville. The warehouse space was just that and needed much attention to become appealing. We had many contractors hired to do various jobs. Our electrician came in WAY over the bid. Our painters painted over sprinkler heads and so on. Our best experience was with G&S Heating/Air conditioning. They sent out two very professional and competent men to install a HUGE airconditioning unit and air ducting in our tasting room. The temps were close to 100 Deg. and would damage our product. Now it sits a perfect 60 deg. throughout the 2500 sq ft room.\r These guys showed up when they said, came in at the exact price they said and even did the elec. wiring for their own install. Horrible customer service 7/9/2009

I went to G&S to have a custom hood built for my glass ventilation system. The first time I stopped in, they said the only person who could help me was the shop guy and he wasn't in. I asked when he would be in and apparently he doesn't have a schedule. He just comes and goes whenever and no one knows when he'll be in. He can't be reached by phone either. I stopped in 4 days later to inquire again. Same thing. No one had seen him all week. The people in the office weren't helpful and seemed completely unknowledgable about ventilation standards. I guess my job wasn't big enough for them. I ended up calling Evergreen State Heat & AC and someone came out right away and built me a hood for a very reasonable price. I would never use G&S after that experience. Cons: no one seems to know anything more

Don't Hire G&S 6/7/2009

G&S was choosen to install heat pump for our new constuction home. The techs did not know how to install or setup our system. Weasked questions about out heat pump system, no one knew the answers, quite often.\r G&S did not show up as scheduled, then after installation, additional techs needed to come out to figure out the mess, when our system did not work. Now, we have a condensation overflow backup, from poor placement-design in the furnace, causing water to reach the electrical connections. Almost touching the 220, additionally causing a short, heat pump does not work. Large repair anticipated.\r G&S never reviewed the system with us, we were left to fend for ourselves in figuring out the heat pump heating & cooling system operates.\r We would never use G&S, they were also, often rude and not interested in our concenrs, but wanted our $. \r Cons: Not Knowledgeable, Poor Service, Wrong Installation more

Outstanding Company! 3/27/2009

It's rare to find a company that works as hard as G&S to earn their business. From the bidding process to completion we were completely satisfied with every aspect of the process. We got bids from 6 different outfits. I was so impressed with G&S that I really wanted them to have the lowest bid, and they did! They were not afraid of the difficulty of moving our furnace from a hall closet to the garage. This meant cutting into a concrete slab, rerouting the ductwork, rerouting the return air, rewiring, and replumbing the gas. They also installed a gas line for our new gas range and oven and rewired our tankless water heater. This is an outstanding company to deal with and I would recommend them to anybody. GREAT TO WORK WITH! 4/8/2008

I Recently had an entire heat pump heating system installed in my home. My house was originally built with baseboard heat throughout and no provisions were made for duct work. I had two other heating companies come out to give me bids. One told me it couldn't be done without removing a ton of sheet rock and the other was priced so far out of my budget I couldn't believe it. The salesman from G&S came out and went over quite a few options including an ingenious method of fishing duct work through the joist bays of my finished basement. They also did a complete energy evaluation on my home to size the equipment properly. From start to finish I was thoroughly impressed with the level of knowledge of the sales staff as well as the skill and competency of the installation technicians. I send everyone I know to them for all their HVAC needs. Great job guys! Pros: Service, attention to detail, quality of work. more
