Oh, how I love Adrian. Every few years I seem to be moving to a new state which means every few years I'm looking for a new person to cut my hair. Additionally, every few years I seem to be making a hair donation, so I go from having really long hair to really short hair. The hard part is to find a stylist who can help meet my needs of easy maintenance while looking good at all lengths. Adrian Guiterrez started out as one of my customers and this time I had become one of his. He is very talented and he really strives to ensure he gives you the best cut ever. It is evident that he treats each customer not as just ""another haircut"" but truly works to ensure each cut matches the person's personality and style. I went in looking like Rapunzel and came out looking like Velma Kelly with a twist that was all me. Bravo Adrian. Looking forward to the next cut!!! more

A friend with great hair sent me to Adrian at Free Spirit. My first experience was with the cute and competent Shottie. She makes you feel right at home. My cut with Adrian keeps me coming back. Not only is he talented, but he really LISTENS! Every time I leave the salon I feel fresh and confident I have the best of haircuts. I alway get compliments! And my friend? I was new to the area, looking for a hair stylist and ran into her at an Aveda event to support the Gulf Coast and she has been my stylist ever since! I look forward to chatting with her every time I come in and my hair is looking so great! She cuts and colors for me and I'm so happy with how healthy and great my hair is looking. Adrian has been my hair stylist for over 20 years. Adrian loves what he does and it shows by the way he treats his clients and listens to what they want. He keeps up with all the latest in the hair styling world by attending seminars at Vidal Sassoon at least twice a year. Every time I go to the salon, Adrian tells me this is going to be the best haircut and color ever and it always is. Everyone at Free Spirit makes me feel special from the time I walk in until I leave with another great haircut. more

Dear Reader: My entire family has used Free Spirit for approximately 12 years. I have had the privilege of having almost everyone in the salon either color and color my hair, my child's, or my husband's. We have known the owners for as many years and have always found them to be extremely professional, courteous, and accommodating. Once I had an issue, and the owner would not let me pay for the hair style. I stated that the issue was really mine and that I had wanted to go darker and then didn't really like it. I found out later had picked up the tab anyway. This is not an unusual act, I might add. They desire each client to leave loving their experience and their hair! Currently, head stylist Adrian styles my hair. The personal care and concern he shows to me are of a level that I wish many of my own friends and family expressed! He truly cares about what I care about and will do anything (usually above and beyond) to make me a satisfied customer. He is also well known in the industry and continually travels to hair shows to improve his skill level. He has had numerous opportunities to style with the top educators in the industry, most recently winning a competition with Vidal Sassoon in LA as well as working with the top hair colorists at Aveda. His knowledge and his art are unsurpassed in this industry. He is a ""little secret gem"" here in Alpharetta! I have received numerous compliments about my color and cut through the years. As with any relationship - personal or professional, communication is important. I have always appreciated Free Spirit's willingness to listen to my needs and try to give me the hair cut and color in my ""dreams,"" as well as their desire to make me their friend. I consider all of them such. more

I have been going to Free Spirit for about 10 years. Everyone there is great to work with and have been very good to me and my husband. Adrian has always been my hairdresser and he is amazing. No matter what we do, I am always asked about my haircut. Recently, he wanted to do something ""different and more sassy"" (in Adrian's terms).... It looked wonderful and I got a compliment from every person I saw for several weeks. Most people thought I looked younger but the best yet was ""you look like you have lost 15 lbs."" If you are looking for that ""perfect"" style, Adrian is the stylist for you. He has been creating my look for 7 carefree years. I'm the blonde in the mall that women follow around and eventually ask ""who does your hair?"" My hair is fine, straight and thin. He transforms it into glam, silky and fun! Best of all, he knows when it's time for a change. He does the research including photos and gets my opinion. If I like, he proceeds. If not, he keeps looking. I have been going to Free Spirit Salon for over three years now. Initially I went because of the good reviews and most importantly they carry AVEDA products! My hair always looks fabulous! What I love about the place now that I'm a ""regular"" is that many of the stylists and staff know me. EVERYONE gets along with each other! They all seem to support, help, and really work together as a team (almost like a family). Allison always does a great job with my cut and highlights. I feel like she always has time for me even if she's busy, she helped me learn how to style my hair so I always look like I just left her chair, and was able to find just the right combination of products for the seasons (Georgia humidity!). She also introduced me to Kristen who has helped me with my skin and makeup, she also does my daughter's hair now that she goes to a ""big girl salon."" Love love love the place!!! Can't say enough about other than you have to go to experience the place for yourself! more

David Richardson has been cutting my hair for a few years now and I couldn't be happier. He's very professional but also treats you like a friend. I feel very at home every time I go there. My stylist, Adrian Gutierrez, is a genius. I have very thick, loose curly hair. Most stylists had no idea what to do with me so I just had a boring bob for years. Adrian takes the time to study my bone structure and always gives me a fantastic cut. My hair is edgy, chic and absolutely fantastic. Thanks to his great hair cuts, I actually like my hair now. Even better, I am able to style it myself so I look like I just stepped out of the salon every day. People are constantly stopping me to ask where I have my hair done. I have been salon shopping in Atlanta for many years now and have gone to high end salons with valet parking from Buckhead to Alpharetta, but Adrian at Free Spirit is the first stylist who has REALLY impressed me. He assessed my face shape, asked questions about my lifestyle and personality and was able to determine the best haircut and haircolor for me. Adrien has been cutting my hair since I was 5 years old. Now at 23, about to get married, and living in Florida, I just can't find another hair dresser who even compares. I schedule family visits around needing to get my hair cut, and the amazing staff at Free Spirit has become like an extended family. The number of compliments I receive on my hair are great. I have naturally curly hair, so getting a good cut is important and using good product is necessary. The Aveda products along with Adrian's magic scissors have been keeping my hair looking stunning for 18 years. I highly recommend any of the great artists at Free Spirit Salon.
