Extra Space Storage

I had a storage unit with Extra Space Place for a few months and everything was fine. I liked how convenient and easy it was to get my unit and the people who worked there were helpful and courteous. I would recommend them for their secure storage units and ease of monthly payments. more

I took my things to Extra Space Place because my husband had just got a new job and we were moving. I was also pregnant at the time, and the office staff were so nice. They actually helped me and walked with me out to the storage unit. They stood there and made sure I was able to get in. I appreciated that they were willing to get up from the desk and go out with me and stay there to make sure I was safe. Every time I went in there they were extremely courteous and I really appreciated that. Their customer service is excellent; all the receptionists were really nice to me. I never had any problems even though it was a different person every time. They said to call whenever I needed assistance and to come by whenever I wanted. Their facilities are clean and spacious, with a lot of room to maneuver your car. Their prices are good, too. You really feel like you are valued and you are in good hands with them. Everything was fine at Extra Space Place, except I remember there was some trouble getting in at night. Their location was good and the price was all right, I guess. I think we got the first month free. more

I've never had any trouble at all at Extra Space Place and the staff is very friendly and cordial. They have been helpful and I have never had any issues. But I think the price is high. It has gone up $10 per year for each of the last three years, and they were going to do it again. We said no, we won't do it and they kept the rate the same--it was a breaking point. None of the stuff I have there has been used in five years. I should just get rid of it all. more

I do not recommend using Extra Space Place. Unfortunately $5000.00 dollars worth of merchandise was stolen away from my storage unit. There's no cameras installed where it would be useful to see who is stealing property from the customers. Management have said how they have made the necessary changes to eliminate the theft and to make the area safer but I see no changes, therefore we are moving to somewhere else. However, I will note that the managers/employees are nice and I do not blame them. This entire ordeal costed me time and money. It is our number one priority to keep our clients valuables safe and secure. Whoever broke in went straight to our camera and applied tape to black out everything. As always, anyone who is able to enter the premises, can only do so with a special code. We have cameras at all doors and throughout the isles. We have implemented some changes and installed additional alarms that sound off property when a door is open, which also notifies the police. This is a shame but unfortunately it happened. I have a small unit with Extra Space Place and it holds everything I need it to. I've been using this space for six months and they've been very accommodating. The pricing is good and it's in a great location. It's clean and secure with a coded gate. One time I forgot my code, and they assisted me very well with that. I'd recommend them to others. more

I've been using Extra Space Place since February. It is secure and clean, and I've had no issues so far. This is my first storage unit, and the prices seem fair. They've been more than accommodating and had exactly what I needed. Their customer service is professional, friendly, and easy to talk with. They've been really good so far. more

I've been using Extra Space Place for probably two years to store a wooden headboard, a baseboard, and sideboards of a bed. I had some issues with the previous managers about a leak in my unit. They said their crews were busy, so I ended up having to rig it myself to protect the bed from water damage. I would give the old management three stars and I'm not sure I would have recommended them at that time. When the new management came in they fixed the leak and a drain issue. They seem much more contentious and in tune with the needs of their customers. I would give them five stars, but I think it is overpriced. The woman I usually deal with there is wonderful. more

I've had a storage unit at Extra Space Place for a long time. The employees have always been really nice and great to work with. The facility is better than the two other places I've used in the past, where the storage units leaked. This unit hasn't had any leaking or water damage. The one issue I've had was that the unit was broken into about a month and a half ago, but that isn't really Extra Space Place's fault. Somebody jumped the fence and busted the lock. Some of my stuff was just gone, but there was one item that they had tried to steal and left behind just lying around. Extra Space Place contacted me and let me know about the break in, and put the item in a new storage unit with a new lock. more

I've been a customer of Extra Space Place for ten years. They gave us what we needed, and when we upgraded our storage facility there was no problem. They're convenient, and I like their security: you have to use a code to get in, and you have your own special code. more

I don't even need a storage unit anymore but I still keep it because the groundslady at Extra Space Place is so great. I know its safe, she's always there, she calls me right away with any problems. I just love her; everything has been perfect and I don't think I have ever had that kind of scenario. I would give her a ten, they hired a great person who takes care of the grounds. more

I have used them a couple of times. The office is good with everything if I have questions, but generally I'll head straight to my space. My unit is fine. I've never had any problems with it. They handle the business. They make sure everything is clean. I recommend them. more

I have been using Extra Space Place for over a year. They usually give me a call when I forget to pay on the first. They give me a reminder to pay before they charge me extra. My unit is very clean. The service is courteous, professional, and thorough. They're really good. It's a safe place to store belongings. I've never had any problems. I highly recommend them. more

I rent a storage unit with Extra Space Place and it has been a good experience so far. Their office is open all the time, and they are great about keeping in communication with me. No major complaints other than the "Free Truck" is falsely advertised. You can only use it once, ever, to move stuff into your unit and only for 2 hours, you can use it longer if you pay more per hour but still only the one time. Might have considered somewhere else if it were advertised correctly as I do not own a truck. more

At Extra Space Place, nothing stood out, and nothing was bad or good. I did feel they were a little overpriced. The only reason I selected them was they were close to me. The storage unit I rented was a small storage unit, and it was the size I had expected. It was clean and had a gate. more

I have been with Extra Space Place for three years and I am satisfied with them. The only thing they can improve on is keeping their spaces a little more clean. Other than that, the manager is wonderful and very accommodating. more
