The folks at Go Empire Movers were very nice all around. The 'phone' service was great, everyone i spoke to was able to address my questions and concerns. On the move day, the items were protected and moved quickly. At the new house, they put the crib together, and made sure boxes were in the correct room. I have used other moving companies, but Go Empire Movers seemed to be on a differtent level professionally. Pros: fast, polite, cute more

I was referred to Empire Movers and Storage by one of my co-workers. I was a little apprehensive at first due to the fact that I had never heard of Empire Movers and Storage up until that point. I called and the first impression I got was one of friendliness and professionalism from their receptionist. I booked one truck and 3 movers to arrive at 8:00AM and on the day of the move I got one truck and three movers at 8:00AM as promised. After a quick intro and some brief instructions, they got to work. I have never seen three people work harder in my life. They were efficient, careful, and friendly. I was under the impression that they were going to milk the clock considering I was paying by the hour but they wanted to get me moved in almost as much as I did. They took very good care of all my fragile items and informed me when they needed to use extra supplies that may affect the price before using it so there were no surprises on my bill. All in all it was a great experience. I would use them again and would advise anyone who is moving to use them. more

Outstanding! I had two trucks with a crew of four to move my furniture and belongings from a 2-story home and 2 storage units over to another 2-story home. They were very careful to wrap and protect all of my furniture, pictures, etc. They worked diligently for approximately 5+ hours. The crew was prompt, friendly and courteous. I hired Empire Movers and Storage to move me closer to my elderly mother. I had some items that needed to go to her home and I needed relocate and store some of my belongings in storage. I can not thank them enough. The price was not the cheapest one I found, but the service was worth every penny. They accommodated all of my requests. Even my mother commented on what a great job they did, and she is a tough customer. Ofra my sales woman was so helpful; she was always willing to answer my questions. I can not thank them enough. My family moved from Manhattan to Cleveland OH. We have 3 children and lots of toys!! Empire Movers sent a sales person to our home to estimate the cost and details of our move. The day of the pick-up we were scrambling to finish packing and get organized. The movers were on time and even called us 30 minutes prior to arrival. They disassembled some of our furniture, wrapped and secured the fragile pieces and even packed what we were unable to finish packing. They promised us delivery within 3 weeks and a phone call 24 hours prior to the delivery. We received our belongings 2 weeks after the pick-up. There was nothing missing and nothing damaged. Also, we kept in touch with our sales person who would give us updates on the delivery. We were very happy with our move and highly recommend New York Quality Movers. Pros: Top noch service more

The movers were phenomenal- they were polite, efficient, arrived right on schedule and did an excellent job getting everything safely to its destination, even in the pouring rain. I moved from an apartment to a condo in March 2008 and first contacted FlatRate based on their reputation and previous awards. When the quote came in, I thought it was high and looked on CItySearch to find another moving company and came across Empire Movers and Storage. I was actually a little suspect as everyone only had accolades to say abot them - figured maybe the owners made all their employees sign up for Citysearch or something! In any event, I did get the quote - it was a good 20-25% less than FlatRate, so I went with Empire Movers (I did like FlatRate service of box delivery that you can do online however!). I am glad I went with Empire Movers and Storage and have found their customer service exceptional. My move for the most part went fairly well with the exception that the movers broke (demolished is a more accurate word) an antique table from the late 1700s worth several thousand dollars. It was a honest mistake and goes under the sh** happens. However, what was truly exceptional was working with Empire Movers on a satisfactory resolution. I never had to haggle. In fact, the first words out of Empire Movers guys mouth where "it's our fault and we take total responsibility"). She said this was the first time something like this had happened and I believe it. The thing I liked most about this company is that is run by active owners - Florin Petruta and John Petruta. They went on vacation shortly after my move and I was still getting e-mails from Florin to ensure the insurance company was handling everything correctly. They - at their initiative - took my piece to one of the premier restoration companies in New York. I think 95% of the companies would have tried to have it done by some second rate hack. I am an executive in the Customer Service industry, so I can be hard to impress. When things go smoothly, most companies do a good job. From start to finish, they were friendly, professional, easygoing, and above all hardworking. We came across a situation that needed to be handle in a delicate manner with the landlord of the apartment my sister was leaving, they never faultered. We were extremely impressed with them, the job took longer than anticipated, due to some issues beyond their control, yet they never complained. They continued to service our move and made sure we were satisfied. I recently used Empire for a spur of the moment move. The moving company that I originally planned on using raised the price on me at the last minute, so I was all of a sudden in dire need. I called around before finally speaking with John from Empire. He was very cool, understood my situation, and worked with me on the price. The move was same day, I literally called at 10am and the move was completed by 5pm. Everything went very smoothly. The guys were super professional, handled all of my stuff with care and were friendly in the process. I would recommend giving these guys a try. They moved me and didnt give me any problems or hassles about pricing . all my stuff got where it had to go in one piece and they were quick about it. definitely would use them again. I had a great experience with the Empire company. I had to move from a 3rd floor walk-up to a 4th floor walk ?up and their additional charge was very small compared with the number of stairs they had to carry my big couch and the rest of the stuff. Very professional and well organized team, they wrapped all my furniture to avoid any scratches. I would like to recommend them for any moving necessities you might have. more
