This was my first time at the optometrist, so I didn't know what to expect. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions, though there were a number of other patients there (and I have been back since, and it always seem to be the same). The optometrist himself was friendly and offered information without me asking, like why they shine light into the eyes (to check for brain tumors! O_O), certain eye's vision being worse depending on if you're left or right handed, the issue of whether one strains their eyes more from wearing glasses, not wearing them, or wearing old prescriptions, and how the machines they use for eye exams work. They have some very new and advanced machines, which is nice. \r
The person who finally handled helping me choose the frames and fitting the lenses was very helpful; she even gave me a discount (I got metal frames for the price of plastic; they're normally more expensive), and advice on which frames (which I kindly rejected; I don't go for the emo look...). \r
I have been back since and will continue to go back. The only problems I've had is that after three years a nose pad on my glasses has fallen off =)
