Fraudulent 3/1/2012

When renting a car, we were asked if we would like their insurance. We declined. The day after we turned the car in, we received a letter stating that the car had been damaged while in our possesion (it had not.). The letter went on to say that the damage had already been repaired, but we would be liable for the cost. They must be magical at that place, comsidering they were able to receive a car in the afternoon, assess it for damage, write a letter to us saying it was damaged, get the car repaired and repainted and back on the road, all within 18 hours. If you deny their outrageous charges for insurance, this may happen to you, too! Buyer beware: they WILL ask you to buy heir insurance, too! more

At first I thought the people working at the desk were great. I was there for a funnel , I got a flat tire and was later charged $214.00 what kind of business pratice is this. A simple flat tire. Mind you I changed the flat tire before I returned the car The staff at the rental desk smiled in my face and gave me another car to rent in its place and then sent me a bill for $214.00 I will never do business with dollar rent a car ,anywere more

Avoid!!! 1/13/2007

I chose Dollar because their rate was the lowest at the time I wanted a car. Unfortunately, we ended up paying more than we would have at a competitor with better service due to additional fees that were added to our bill without our knowledge. When I called the manager to complain, he told us it was our fault for not reading the fine print next to all 9 places we were asked to initial at the time we rented the car. The counter staff was rude and slow. I will NEVER rent from this Dollar location (and possibly ANY Dollar location) again. Pros: Cheap rate if they don't scam you into paying more Cons: Rude staff and manager, little extra fees make it more expensive than better companies more
