My girlfriend and I have been going to Darfons for many years now and have never had anything but outstanding food, wine and service. The Chef Todd is amazing and always has the best specials..!! A few nights a go was a Salmon-Trout roll over a White Balsomic and Basil infused Olive Oil...WOW..!! I've read many of the negative reviews and I can say I have never ever seen anything like that in all my years going. A few month back we brought a friend who work in aviation and has been all over the world. He made a point to tell the Manager that he thought Darfonds was one of the best places he has ever been too. So you be the judge... go try it. Please try it more then once and you decide. You will not be let down...and if the weather is nice.. request the open air seating area. more

The ladies in my office planned their Secret Santa lunch and all agreed that Darfon's would be a fun place to go. We called 2 weeks in advance to make reservations (party of 10) and requested a private area. We were going to be exchanging gifts and tend to be loud..fun bunch. When we arrived at the restaurant they had our tables set up in the middle of the restaurant and when questioned regarding the private area we were told there were larger parties and they gave the rooms to them. We placed our gifts in a booth adjoingin our seating area. Our waitress approached our table without a greeting and told us it was a busy time and we could not place our gifts in the booth. We explained the situation and she went off to check it out. When she came back she cleared a table next to us and placed our gifts there. After taking our drink orders she went to the bar and shared her tale of woe with all the other servers who promptly turned around to check us out. Never smiled while serving us. Not the way to treat your customers! All of the serving staff looked very unhappy, must not be a nice place to work! more

Good, fresh and clean. Desserts are homemade. Better than the other options in the immediate airport area. more

I have to say the food is good, but they don't seem to care about the customer. I asked that the temp be adjusted several times, and no response. I had to wear my jacket throughout the whole meal. rediculous. Service is just average at best. Prices a little bit much for the portion. more

been in nashville only about a year and this is now the only place i eat out. Possibly the fastest and totally the best service ive recieved in nashville. I do request some off the menu items, which if available they always grant my special orders. As a black man living in nashville tn its hard to find servers and waitresses that always treat you with the same amount of respect and friendliness as any other. Either they are really good at their jobs or they actually like to see my smiling face walk in the door and greet me with a ""Hey Mr. Marcus"" FAKING IT OR NOT? I DONT CARE, I LOVE DARFONS AND ILL SEE YALL TONIGHT! more

We asked for the music to be turned down (they weren't busy). It was turned down for 2 songs and then right back up again. We couldn't even talk to each other. We did write to the restaurant but have never received a response. Yes, the place is dark! Bring your own candle! While dining people want to be able to converse but their management seems to think loud head banger music is more important. The food is good but everything is extra! Serving sizes have gotten smaller! Yes, service is slow. What next? We figure it is only a matter of time and the food will go down hill with the really slow service and bad atmosphere.. more

I dined at the Elm Hill location today for lunch, and if you haven't been recently, please, for your own good, GO! They have remodeled and changed the menu since the last time I was in town, and it is unbelievable! Before I just considered it an OK place to eat when I didn't want to go downtown or get fast food, but now I would choose this place over most high-end restaurants in downtown Nashville. I don't know if they have changed anything at the other locations, but this place feels so modern and fresh, and I thought the food was good before, but they must have really cleaned house with their kitchen staff because it is on a whole new level. I'm what the restaurant industry refers to as a ""difficult"" customer, but the staff was very open to my special requests, dare I say ""happy"" to fulfill them. I don't remember my server's name; impeccable service isn't really that big of a draw for me in a restaurant, but my server was a cute brunette who constantly had a smile on her face and seemed really happy to be there. The food tasted like whoever made it did so with skill and love. Amazing!!! Honestly, I never even thought of this place at all once I left, but since today, I can't get it off my mind and can't wait for my next trip back to Nashville. If you live near the Elm Hill location and haven't been or don't visit often, for God's sake, GO! Pros: Brunch items, new selections, modern atmosphere Cons: Suprisingly, none! more

They have remodeled and changed the menu since the last time I was in town, and it is unbelievable! The service was horrid - took 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. It took even longer for the food. My chicken was raw in the center and still cold. I did not complain to the waiter but I did leave him a tip - ""Find another place two work"". Cons: Everything more
