GREAT customer service 9/28/2010

The reason we purchased our Honda Pilot from Crown Honda was because of the great product but because of the great customer service that we received from Brett Powell and Raja. Brett was well prepared and explained in grave detail concerning the vehicle. He was pleasant and very patient. He is a excellent salesman and we were very impressed. I would refer him to anyone as a salesman. Raja was excellent also, he was straight forward and very detail. He worked to get us the best possible deal. more

I had spent almost two months trolling the Web for a great deal on a used car, when I finally zeroed in on Crown Honda of Southpoint. I never had to search elsewhere. I saw a fabulous deal on a certified used Ford Focus stationwagon with less than 100K on it, for a steal (under 6K including all costs) -- and my wife and I raced out to Crown in the mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Even though we were looking at one of the most inexpensive offers they had (pretty sure it was the LEAST expensive), we were treated like we were looking for a brand new Honda. They handled the financing smoothly, and did indeed count the internet coupon for $250 they had advertised on the Web site. We will never look elsewhere, in the future, for a used or new car. These folks are TOPS! more

After requesting quote online, I received emails from internet dept with price and a contact email from salesman. Price was several hundred dollars less than a neighboring Honda dealer for the same make/model/features! We spoke on the phone, and followup questions were rapidly answered via email. Mike Duncan was warm and kind, never being too pushy. He treated my parents well during the time when I was signing all the paperwork. I actually laughed and enjoyed my time with the sales manager (his name escapes me), sharing personal stories. The entire process was so smooth, start to finish. I will definitely return to Crown Honda, and sincerely thank them for the best car shopping experience I've had. more

It was the best experience we've had buying a car in a long 9/23/2010

We came in looking to buy an Odyssey after doing some research. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted and treated as if we were the most important customers in the place. Jake wasn't pushy or overbearing. We first went to the computer to see the difference between the two trim types that we wanted to look at. He targeted what we wanted and then took us for a test drive. When we wanted to look at the second type of trim, the van we wanted was being taken for a test drive. He did everything to make sure that we were notified when they returned so we could look at. Once we made a decision to get the van, he worked to make everything go smoothly and efficiently. It took two negotiations to get the rates and prices we could live with. We had to rush a little at the end to get to a soccer game, so Jake helped move things along. Mike with finanace then took over and he got us in and out of the paperwork so that we could get to our soccer game. We walked out of there with our new 2010 Odyssey, but Jake made sure since he wasn't going to be there the next day that someone would be there to take care of me. Brandon also did a very nice job when I walked in the next day to take care of us and ensure that things were done and we got on our way when it was complete. It was the best experience we've had buying a car in a long time. more

I just purchased a new Honda van from Crown. The sales manager who worked with me on this purchase was straightforward,professional, fair, very attentive, & easy to work with.She did a very good job of steering me through the process of purchasing my new Honda. There were none of the games,double-talk,or bait & switch tactics that give car dealers a bad name from Ms. Mullens. She conducted herself very professionally throughout, & I give her high marks for her work with me on this.I'm pleased (again) with my overall buying experience at Crown. If they keep doing business in the manner they have over the last 20 + years I'll probably be a Crown customer for life. more

This dealership has nice, friendly sales people 9/21/2010

This is my third new Honda purchase (2nd from Crown) and was the best by far. My salesman, Oliver George, was given me through my Costco membership, and he was professional, responsive, never pushy. Using the Internet to pre-shop, and e-mail to communicate meant that we worked out our deal quickly, and both knew what to expect at each step. Although I'd pre-arranged financing with my credit union, Mike Asbury told me about a better deal through Honda that saved me over $3000. This dealership has nice, friendly sales people who meet you more than half way. I've used their service department for years, and am committed to continuing to do so. more

Oliver is a great employee. He was honest and genuine throughout the entire sales process. He made great strides to help me find a great car within my budget. Brandon was super nice 9/13/2010

I'm very excited because we just financed a new car and even cooler, we left the lot with a different car than we had anticipated. First off, I went to the Crown Honda website to see if they would trade in our Toyota Prius--yes, awesome! Then I filled out the details of the car we wanted to trade for, a Honda Fit . I had a very prompt and friendly follow-up call from Mr. Cedric and we set up an appointment to meet later that day. When my husband and I finally made it to the dealership, Cedric was with another customer, but Brandon took right over, with Cedric's okay. Brandon was super nice, laid back and eager to help us figure out what it was we wanted--we thought we knew, but we got there and were kind of overwhelmed. There was the Fit Sport, the Fit Basic, 5spd, automatic, pre-owned, etc., etc. We went for a test drive in the Fit Sport w/ automatic and it was like butter to drive-ahhh, lovely. While driving we chatted to Brandon about Savannah and how he thinks that Paula Dean's restaurant is so not as good as every one might think and how this old man there has a rib stand where you can get a gallon of the most delicious bbq sauce around. Brandon was clearly not trying to sway us one way or another, he was just allowing us to have our own experience. We decided that we did know what we wanted (the Sport), but we only had so much to offer (enough for the Basic). Boy did Brandon come through. After some caffeine-induced bartering from my husband and what was some talented sales-savvy from Brandon, we rolled out of there with a beautiful, blackberry pearl-colored Honda Fit Sport! You always hear about car dealers being so loud-mouthed and sleazy. Well, I'm here to tell you that it does not have to be that way. more

An Excellent Experience 9/7/2010

I bought a certified, pre-owned Honda Fit at Crown Royal, and had a fantastic experience.\r \r \r \r I'm female and this was my first time buying a car, and I was a little nervous going in. So I was very relieved when Jay Burnell, the sales associate that helped me, immediately took some extra time with me to explain the process. How is financing handled? Insurance? What do the warrenties cover? Why is the new car warranty different than the used car warranty? etc. etc. He was very patient and answered all of my questions fully.\r \r \r \r I had called ahead to ask about the car I was interested it, and Jay had it pulled up and ready to drive when I showed up. Then Jay showed me another, similar car in the inventory. Even though it was getting late and the car was in the showroom, Jay pulled it outside and let me take another test drive.\r \r \r \r There were several iterations of negotiations over the price, which ultimately concluded the following day. I never felt any pressure to make the purchase or hurry my decision, and I feel very good about the car I got and the price I paid.\r more

Excellent Service 6/5/2010

I had received a recall notice for my 2007 Odyssey indicating two items needed to be corrected. \r \r I got to Crown just prior to opening and was the first or second in line. They offered to take me home and bring me back since the time needed to complete the work was about 5 hours. \r \r I received a call about 15 minutes before being picked up asking if I was be ready to come back. When I returned to the car was ready and had also been washed. A non warrenty item was also fixed at no charge.\r \r I will not hesitate to use their service department in the future. Service? Couldn't care less 3/11/2010

They you lure you into the service department with ""perks"" like a free shuttle and slick service area but then pad the bill by charging you to the nearest hour for any work done. If it takes them even 5 minutes to diagnose a problem you are charged for an hour of labor or @ $90. Then when they do the work a whole new hour is started. You are looking at a minimum of $200 plus the jacked up cost of parts for even the simplest fix. Their attitude is that they couldn't care less. Better off finding an independent mechanic who actually works for your return business. Cons: Round up work time to the closest hour more

Service people not that nice...Sales Mangers are great! 2/6/2009

My old honda's transmission died. Before this,when I went to get it serviced the service people were not very nice and they didn't explain ANYTHING to me. It was very uncomfortable. However, when I leased a new car my sales manager, NATHAN E. DICKENS, treated me so great! I actually trust him (who can say that about any sales man?). He dealt with my family from Ca really well and he had tons of patience with me (I'm a female). If it wasn't for Nathan, I would give the place a 1 STAR!!!! more

Despicable trade practices 7/5/2008

I went into Crown Honda to purchase a Civic and take advantage of Honda's nationwide lease special of $199 a month for a 12,000 mile per year lease. Civics in the area are limited because they have been selling like hotcakes due to gas prices. Crown had one left and I decided I wanted to buy it but instead of letting me take advantage of the nationwide lease special, Crown came back at me with a severely inflated lease price ($320 per month - after a $1,000 deposit) and blamed it on supply and demand and the price of gas. Essentially they were price gouging knowing the Civic was in high demand. I found this to be despicable and unethical. Look I know dealerships are in business to make profits but for them to suggest this just shows how far this dealership will go to make a dollar. The gentleman who helped me knew very little about the Civic and what they were willing to give me for my trade was $2,500 less than Carmax bought my car for. Bottom line they really tried to screw me.\r \r One other thing while Im taking time to vent my frustration about Crown happened a couple years back when we took my wife's Accord in to be serviced. The service was great and affordable however our change in the ashtray was stolen. Of course this $3 in change wasn't that big a deal but it was the principle of dishonest service people behind the issue. I called back and told the service manager about and he said he would look into it.\r \r Fortunately for me there was Eren Martin, the internet sales manager at AutoPark Honda. They were willing to uphold Hondas national lease price and lease me the vehicle at the advertised lease price. Thank god for some people in this world with integrity.\r \r Bottom line: Crown Honda is a small time Honda dealership. Yes they have been in business for years but when you look at their total sales each month they always get hammered by the bigger Honda dealerships in the state. There is a reason for this.Do yourself a favor and head to Auto Park or Flow. Pros: Nice showroom and waiting area Cons: despicable, unethical, dishonest cheats more

FAIR DEALER 6/30/2008

Reading past reviews of this dealer i understand the vast difference in opinion. As a dealer myself for 29 years ive seen it all. I,ve been the salesman and i,ve been the guy in the back giving the prices and if either of the two r crooks...youll have a bad experience. And many times its not that they are crooks...just sloppy business people. Either way, in the case of THIS dealer i know that if a person is NOT satisfied with their experience that if given the opportunity, management will bend over backwards to be fair. But you must make your concerns known to those in charge. And they do TRY to hire good people...not always a perfect science. more
