Initailly I had good experiences with Cross County Pools. I came into their store years ago when they were new & then started using them for all my pool service needs. The lady that used to run the store & I think she does billing also, is very pleasant, knowledgeable & very helpful. She knows alot & can find out whatever she doesn't know very quickly. The other store people are nice & helpful too, but the owner is an A-1 A-hole!! He is VERY rude & disrespectful, I have heard him talk to servicemen on the phone & cuss them out in front of everyone that was shopping in his store. One day I was trying to explain a problem I was having with my pump & he started slamming his hands on the counter. Then he kept cutting me off & interrupting me to the point of being VERY rude! Eventhough the store workers are not the problem, I cannot support a business like that. He does not know the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE! Seems like he's just in it for the money. I have told all my friends & family no more

theres a girl & older guy in the store that are very friendly & knowlegeable, but the 2 high school kids, dont know squat & should not be giving out pool advise! that is 1 reason i stopped goin to leslies, they act like you are interrupting something or putting them out to ask a question & when they do anser you cant hear or understand them! they dont know much of anything to do with pools. one kid told my Ph was low & i need to add a whole big bucket of soda ash.i thot that seem like to much but thot he might know what talking about since work there. so i bought it & added it like he said then i spent more money & 2 weeks trying to lower Ph back to normal - what a waste of time & especally money! then a different day i asked the other kid about hoses for my filter & he sold me the wrong ones so i had to make another trip there to return & change them. he didint ask any questions so i assumed they were all the same. another time i asked one of them about something for my filter & he di more

I contracted CCP to open my pool this year and was very satisfied with their service. Staff was friendly. Two weeks later the pool developed Algae. They tested the pool and found that the potassium levels were very high. I purchased a product and it worked great. The owner personally called me back to make sure I was happy. Thanks CCP. more

CCP installed a new liner in my pool in Oct. 2008. They also closed the pool for the winter. When we uncovered our pool in May, we discovered the new liner had come loose. We called CCP and they sent someone in a few days. When I came home from work the guys were still there & they had actually talked with my husband. Nothing was said about any problems.I could see that something was wrong with the liner because the tiles around the top edge of the pool didn?t line up. I found there was a patch applied to my brand new liner and they didn?t bother to match the pattern of the tiles. I went to CCP to buy supplies and discuss the patch on the liner. The owner did not listen to my story completely before he was on the cell phone talking to the installers. In the course of the conversation, (he called them 3 times) & argued with me about why they applied a patch and didn?t seem to think it was any problem of his. They told him they found a pin hole in the liner. He said to me ?What a more

I used Cross County Service to close my pool for a few years and had a few problems that they never wanted to correct after making. The thing that made me never want to use them again though was when I called them to repair a leak in my pipe, coming out of my filter. They broke another pipe while fixing the one that was leaking and charged me an outrageous price to make the repairs. They said that all the pipes needed to be replaced anyway, which was false. I went ahead and paid them to do it anyway and about 3 days after they made the repair, one of the pipes they replaced began leaking. I called and was told someone would be out. The next day they repaired the pipe and several days later I get another outrageous bill for the repair. I made a complaint to the girl on the phone and the owner called me later. I told him it was ridiculous to have to pay for a leak in a pipe that they just replaced a few days ago and he said "the leak could have been caused by something else". Never again more

My experience with Cross County Pools is that they, not the customer, are always right. The bottom line for them is the almighty dollar. I will NEVER use them again and have told everyone I know with a pool to avoid them also. more

Our experience this summjer with Cross County Pool Service has been great. The old filter had failed in the midst of a hot spell. The service department was on the job the day after the request and made the new installation. We were back in service within one work day. On another occasion, there was a large tear in the liner. They came out the same day and had it repaired within a couple of hours. Their service charges are very reasonable for the quality of service they provide. more

We have had good luck with CCPS. They have always been helpful with letting us know what information is necessary to make good choices when purchasing from other stores. They are always friendly when testing our pool water, even when we leave the store without making a purchase. We have dealt with another pool supply company in the area, also with good service, but CCPS is much closer to us. As for the other review concerning their "poor" customer service: It is the consumer's responsibility to monitor every service call to ensure satisfaction before the service technician leaves. more

We called CCPS originally 4 years ago. They came out to fix a problem, left, and the next day the problem continued. Last year, we called them out again to fix the problem they originally were supposed to fix. They supposively fixed it. Then again this year we had to call them back out. We once again paid for the problem to be corrected. And, again, we have bubbles coming thru the jets. I asked them to come and look at it again, and they were going to charge us, yet again. They should have tested the lines before they left. They were not thorough. So instead of making sure the problem was fixed the first time, we have to pay another call out fee to have them come and check it. We will NEVER use this company again. We have also spoke with family that used to use CCPS and they are changing companies as well. If they would have just taken the time to do the job right the first time, as well as check for any other possible problems while they were out there, this all could have been avoid more

This crew is fabulous! We used another pool service upon moving into our new house last summer and also asked around at some of the local pool supply stores for referrals. We were unhappy with the first crew that had been maintaining the pool previously. They seemed to just assume that we should use them and were difficult to reach by phone and we always felt rushed.\r However, when we had a winter freeze problem arise we contacted CCPS at a friend's recommendation and they saved us from some seriuos damage and didn't make us feel stupid in the process. THey patiently answered all our questions and were very reasonable. We liked them so much that we cancelled our original pool opening date with our former company and scheduled CCPS to open things for us. The 2 guys they sent out were very friendly, patient, and helpful, and left things very clean and tidy. They were very prompt and always also very courteous on the phone. Thank you!! more
