If you're passionate about house music you'll probably enjoy a night at Club Six. Most DJs are phenomenally talented and creative. It has a distinctive underground feel--a welcome respite from many of the cheesy clubs that decorate the city, and very conducive to some serious dancing. The women are beautiful, hip, friendly, and totally unpretentious. That said, Club Six may have enough negative attributes to poison the entire experience. To begin with, clubbers have to traverse through one of the worst areas in SF; though I didn't have any problems, I wouldn't want to go alone. The house music is downstairs in an incredibly hot room with no ventilation. What really disappointed me, however, was the male portion of the crowd. They were rude, unsophisticated boys who looked like they just stepped out of the frat house. Most of them were awful dancers to boot.
Pros: great music, friendly staff, cool girls
Cons: , bad neighborhood, awful guys
