I've been to cloud nine serval times for couples massages and facials. The atmosphere is wonderful. I love the relaxation waiting room and the bathroom facilites where you can shower and change into a nice robe. The only thing I did not really like is the way they recommend products for you to buy after your service is complete. more

For those with short attention spans: GO SEE GWEN if you want a DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE! Ignore the rough exterior and the imperfections in everything else because you will forget it all during the massage! For those of you who want to know about the whole experience: Ok, I am a spa junkie. I have a stressful job and deep tissue massages are about the only thing that get me through it. I also am a bit prissy and I luxuriate in the spa experience that I have gotten used to a resort spas. I have just moved to Gainesville & stress had again knotted me up. There are a number of negatives about this place, but the positives first: The staff is very nice & GWEN'S DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE IS AMAZING!!! Advice for spa: Get rid of some of the merchandise and make room for the clients and their drivers in front room. The changing area was small, but you did have good lockers, multi-sized shoes, and robes. You should add teas to your drink selection. The "relaxation" area was anything but. The seats were uncomfortable, requiring clients to sit straight backed against the wall. The "relaxation" room is too small & it is weird to have men feet from me when I am naked under my robe! Bottom Line: Ignore the negatives & give GWEN a try!!! more

Everytime I leave Cloud 9 I feel relaxed and rejuvenated. I have had different types of facials and massages and have even used the shared suite. Each and every experience has been wonderful!! Thank you, Cloud 9! more

I called Cloud 9 and was hoping that they could accomodate me and my three friends. We each wanted a massage and hoped to have them at the same time. The young lady who answered the phone was VERY accomodating..telling me she'd call me back with a time and day when she could line up four technicians. We had our massges the next day and my visiting fiends (two of which had never had a massage) can't wait to come back to Florida to visit me and Cloud 9 again. We all get each other Spa Finders GCs for birthdays now!!!! I've been to this Spa for my last 6 massges and hope to get a facial next time. I always feel very relaxed and confortable,,,Thanks Cloud 9! more

Cloud 9 Spa Salon in Gainesville, Florida has never had service fees, dormancy fees or declining balance fees associated with our gift certificate program. Also, our gift certificates do not expire. There are other Cloud 9s across the country. Those businesses have no affiliation with our location. We even have an online purchase option that allows you to instantly print or email our certificates (which also have no fees or expirations). People find our gift certificates the perfect gift for these very reasons. Saeed's review does not accurately reflect the true policy regarding our gift certificates. more

I purchased a gift card for my wife a long time ago knowing she wouldn't be able to use it right away due to us having a new baby. When she called them to discuss her time frame of use they explained that every year that goes by you loose something like 10-15 dollars but that they would honor the gift card. She called them a couple of days ago ready to make a visit and inquired what the balance on the gift card was. They placed her on hold for several minutes and came back on the phone and stated that they are not going to honor the gift card and stated that they removed the balance from it. Cloud 9 STOLE $75.00 from me. It's outright theft on their side. Even if they tried to offer her something I would have been pleased, but they were blunt and uncaring about it. Do yourselves a favor and avoid this business. While they make look "pretty" on the outside it certainly doesn't reflect their morale on the inside. more

I have been to Cloud 9 on many occasions for nail care, massages and hair cuts. Everything is always wonderful and a relaxing experience. There was no question with the Spa Finders gift certificate. My family all know that their gift certificates are always appreciated and enjoyed! more

This spa is amazing, the moment you walk in one is impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are very kind and helpful and listen to exactly which type of service one needs. They also suggest products to skin problems one may have. The services are excellent and the staff is very friendly. more

I live in Georgia and have experienced some of the best Spa's Atlanta has to offer. I was visiting my mother in Gainesville over Thanksgiving weekend and treated myself to a massage and facial at Cloud 9 Spa because I had been working 60 hr weeks and I desperately needed to decompress. My experience ranked right up there with the Spa's in Atlanta. The minute you walk in you feel at ease and the receptionist couldn't have been more pleasant. My massage, where to begin...it was AWESOME!!! Having worked such long hours I had a million knots, of which Kathryn found every one and smoothed them out without sending me off the table! My only complaint is I wish I would have gotten the 90 minute service instead of the 60 minute service! The facial was well worth the money and very relaxing. Annie was very knowledgable and gave me some good tips. The changing room and waiting room were very cozy and I didn't have to wait very long for either service. I would also like to mention that before I went in for my service, there was a couple waiting for their couple massage and when I left another couple was waiting. In all my years of getting massages, I have never seen anyone participate in a couple massage and to see two in one visit, that speaks volumes! I would strongly recommend Cloud 9 and I will certainly be going back! Keep up the good work Cloud 9!! more

I'm about to finish grad school this Dec and can honestly say one of the sadder things about moving away will be leaving behind this spa. I completely trust them with my hair and my eyebrows, and thats a tall order. I cringe at the thought of trying to find a reputable new salon and day spa up north. Anyway, no matter my mood, I always leave smiling. I have also had massage and pedicures there and they were sublime; however it would have been great if they also offered accupuncture onsite too. more

My most recent experience with this spa was horrible. I had scheduled and appointment for a massage and confirmed it the day before. When I arrived at the spa for my serivce they told me my appointment had been cancelled (by my husband and I'm not married). I explained that I didn't cancel my appointment but they said they were all booked and that I would have to reschedule my appointment. I had left work early for my appointment and I didn't appreicate them dismissing me like that. They never apologized for the error or offered me anything for the mistake. I didn't return nor will I go back to this spa. more

Got a gift certificate to Cloud 9 last mothers day and had never been to a spa before. So glad I finally did. I didnt realize how much tension I was carrying around in my shoulders and neck, but that hot stone massage and hot stone facial left me feeling like a wet noodle (in a good way) THe place is very clean and smells good. The people that worked there all seemed really nice and not at all snooty like I imagined. I will put in for another mothers day gift certificate there for sure and might like to try some of the other things they have, like a pedicure. I got showed around and that place is huge. So was my robe, by the way, maybe next time will ask for a smaller one! more

I had completely destroyed my upper back with stress. Kaitlyn did an amazing job working out all the knots. When I went in I could barely stand up straight without feeling the ache, but when I left I was in heaven.Not the mention the place is fabulously decorated and well kept. Very clean. I will definitely be back more

For $60 I got a regular pedicure (includes extra $5 for french)\r \r The massage was minimal\r \r My french style polish was smeared (not by me but by the manicurist) and started to chip almost immediately\r \r There was still dirt under my toe nails\r \r None of the dry skin around my toes was removed\r \r I felt that the manicurist was inexperienced\r \r I am upset that I paid $60 for someone to "practice" on me more

I have been to spas all over the place--New York, Vegas, Miami, Thailand, Hawaii--and this spa is certainly comparable. It is always a pleasure to visit Cloud 9. Heated treatment tables, great quality products, quiet and clean atmosphere, and a courteous, friendly, and professional staff. The bikini waxing is excellent, they use a chamomile wax that is very soothing. The body scrub treatments are extremely relaxing and your skin is left soft and smooth. The only drawback is that the spa waiting area before you get your treatments can get a bit noisy and crowded on busier days, and it is also a co-ed waiting area, which could be uncomfortable for some people. But, the prices are reasonable and you can usually schedule an appointment pretty quickly. Overall, the spa provides you with a very good experience! I wenbt here for the mint chocolate bath! What an experience. I jsut wanted to stay in that tub for ten years and not move! Getting ut was tough...but alas...a girl cannot soak forever!\r They also have a variety of other services as well. really liked it! Great atmosphere! more

Your own locker awaiting you with a rob and sandals to fit your feet, a waiting room with tea, water, goodies and relaxation music playing. The therapists greets you by name and takes you to your room for you service. The rooms are small, quiet, dimly lit and so calming. I have gotten amazing massages, facials, baths and pedicures at Cloud 9 and highly recommend it if you need a retreat. I always leave feeling so good and refreshed.\r The downsides? A little pricey and when you make an appointment you have to give your credit card number over the phone to hld your appointment every time. more

I made an appointment for my friend and me for her birthday, I recommend you call IN ADVANCE to make a booking. We wanted to go on a weekend morning which I guess is the most popular time and had to wait for about two months for an opening for the two of us to go at the same time. The staff are accommodating and professional. The changing rooms with private lockers for our belongings were clean and had a home-feel. We waited in nice bathrobes in the waiting room which had tea and snacks. The waiting room and private massage room were dimly lit, had extremely relaxing soft music and waterfall/nature/relaxation paintings on the walls. There is free parking in front of the complex, very convenient. more

I usually goto the chiropractor to get the kinks out of my bad back. But I decided to try a full back massage at Cloud 9. The moment I walked into the place, I knew it was professional and that I would be taken care of. I was right. After my massage, I was able to twist and turn my back like when I was a kid. Felt great and worth every penny. PROS: Caters to your needs. CONS: Schedule an appointment or you'll have to wait. more
