My friends have been raving about this place (""you've got to try the garlic rolls!"") so I went with them one day. I love a garlic roll as much as the next person, but these garl...

Don't go for the food or the service 1/11/2007

Highly over rate; very over priced. We ordered the Antipasti Platter, $17.95, for an appitzer that contained: Roasted Peppers- two small slices, Artichoke Hearts- a huge pile straight out of the can, Kalamata Olives, Marinated Mushrooms, Fresh Mozzarella- two slices, Roma Tomato- one slice, Eggplant-two tiny slices, Prosciutto- two slices and Genoa Salami-two slices. The quality of the meats and vegatables was very bad. Pasta was ok; salad was a joke. The roll were good- warm and salty. I guess people go for the rolls. The servers were pushy and unhelpful. We will not be back. If you are looking for this kind of food (but better quality) Bucca de Beppo does it better and has really nice servers. Pros: rolls Cons: food, service, parking more

Great food but Bad service 1/2/2007

Ok, I will say the good first: Killer garlic rolls that will make you want to eat here often, great food, and large portions. Pros: food, portions, ambience Cons: service, wait time, parking more

Ok, I will say the good first: Killer garlic rolls that will make you want to eat here often, great food, and large portions. Now for the bad: Service was horrible. We had a medium size party of 8 and as we finished eating and said no to dessert, they swarmed our table. Littereally picking up cups that we were drinking out of and scraping crumbs off the table that we were still sitting at. About 5 min after we finished eating and while some at our table were still finishing their coffee, the manager came over and asked us to leave because they had a line outside. My jaw was on the floor. I've NEVER been to a place for dinner where they so rudly pushed you out of their restaurant. As good as the food was, I won't go back. Parking is always going to be a problem because of the location. If you don't mind having all your dinner conversation across the street at a coffee shop after you eat, you might enjoy it. Pros: food, portions, ambience Cons: service, wait time, parking more

Doesn't get much better than this 11/24/2006

This is the spot to bring family to when they visit. The bread knots alone would be worth it, but then you also get inexpensive, gargantuan pasta dishes, too. Hard to beat. more

good bread rolls 11/21/2006

This is some good italian food. I really liked the endless bread rools that they bring to your table. I got a pasta dish: penne with a tomato sauce with chicken, and an ice tea. It was pretty good. We sat in a very crowded area, but our service was not hindered. Our drinks were constantly refilled and our food was brought out to us quickly. The atmosphere was romantic tho. And it's a fun environment! Pros: great service Cons: valet parking more

Best Italian For the money 11/8/2006

This place is great for the money...The portions are huge, the flavor is there, and who doesn't like Frank and Dean singing in the background??? The garlic rolls are addicting, and you have to make yourself not eat to many before the rest of the meal gets there. I had never had gnocchis, and I tried them here. They definitely have lots of flavor, and made me a fan of gnocchis....The house chianti is a perfect table wine, and it sets well with the classic italian entrees. Pros: Garlic Rolls, Great portions, and Chianti more

Great garlic rolls 11/5/2006

Those garlic rolls are great, but... I think they might have been the best thing. I had the lobster pasta, the lobster seemed more like langostino and it wasn't fully cooked. The other members of the party had more 'basic' pastas and they fared better- it was decent food, we had a couple of bottles of wine instead of the house chianti so I can't speak for that- but the first bottle the waiter brought wasn't what I ordered, kind of a bummer but still, mistakes happen... and I don't really know about the singing. I wanted to think it was fun, but mostly it just annoyed me. Pros: Garlic roles Cons: Crowded, food is a little average, the singing... more

Great food in a lovely setting! 6/6/2006

This place is wonderful and the garlic knots are to die for. The pasta is delicious, but listen out for a good special! I got a wonderful mahi mahi special with garlic mashed potatoes and Italian spinach, and it's one of the best meals I ever had. Next time I'm getting the pasta. The hardest part is ordering because everything looks so delicious! more

garlic ballin' sing songin' good times 4/30/2006

This place is great. I don't know what some of these haters are talking about. The food is delicious, garlic balls are to die for and the best part is that the wait staff hands out the lyrics to some fun Italian American songs like "That's Amore" and blast the music while all the guests sing and clank chianti glasses. It is a LOT of fun. Yes, there is a good sized wait to get seated, but if you come a little early at like 6:30-7, you are totally good. The only bad thing is the roasted chicken. Stick to the pasta and you'll be stoked. Pros: sang songs, garlic balls, very fun place Cons: roasted chicken, long wait more
