The owner is BSC. But, this place is famous now I guess. Good costumes though, some possible copyright infringement via character usage. But, I'm no lawyer so I won't pass judgeme...

BEST COSTUMES I HAVE EVER SEEN. VERY UNEXPECTED 7/12/2008

i WASN'T EXPECTED TO BE WOWED BY THIS PLACE. I READ THE REVIEWS AND DECIDED TO SEE FOR MYSELF. I WAS A SCEPTIC, TRUST ME. I WAS READY TO SLAM THIS PLACE, BUT AS SOON AS I WALKED INTO THIS VERY SMALL SHOP, I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE, I WAS GREETED BY A VERY PRETTY WOMAN THAT LOOKED LIKE SHE BELONGED WITH THE BEAUTIFUL COSTUMES THERE. SHE SEEMED TO FIT RIGHT IN. THERE WAS SO MUCH COLOR IN THERE I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO LOOK FIRST, BUT EVERYWHERE i DID LOOK, THE COSTUMES WERE FABULOUS. THEY LOOKED LIKE THEY COULD HAVE BEEN USED IN A MOVIE. THE QUALITY AND DESIGNS OF THE COSTUME WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. I FOUND THAT THEY MAKE A LOT OF THE COSTUMES. O.K. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE NEVER SEEN COSTUMES LIKE THESE. SURPRISINGLY, THEY WERE QUITE REASONABLE. I AM A BELIEVER. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB. HATS OFF TO BRUNA!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. BEST COSTUMES EVER! VERY PLEASED WITH THE CHARACTER 7/12/2008

Bruna has been around forever. They have the greatest costumes. They are the caviar of costumes. This is not a sterotypical costume/halloween/party store.This place has a style of its own. It is just a unique business that you can't compare. Its a one of a kind. I believe they try to stay low key to keep it personal. The shop is hidden in a small location in Silver Lake in Providence. They have had the big mall stores throughout the years but they came back to the personal customer service that is missing from businesses today. I feel privledged to know about this place and have a personal relationship with the designers. more

super best costumes in rhode island 7/9/2008

I had a pirate theme party for my son for his 7th birthday. My parent always went to Bruna for the costume characters. My mom said that they were always consistant with the quality of the characters. Not only did they create the invitations, the cake, the games and the party favors, we also rented a couple of beautiful pirate costumes from them that looked like they came from a movie set. The advice is free and the ideas are always free. They always have great ideas for parties and love to share them with you. The only thing we had to pay for was the costumes that were delivered free of charge to our house and picked up after the party. I must say that the customer service is above the rest. more

great quiet place to buy wigs. 7/8/2008

I am a female impersonator. I go to Bruna costumes to be descret. There are no questions asked there and I feel very comfortable. I don't go to large dept stores or malls. People tend to stare and make fun of. They are so professional at Bruna's. They treat me with respect. They customer service is excellent. They bend over backwards to help answer any questions and give me lot of make-up tips. They are so cool. I am thankful that I have a place to shop in Providence. Only I went to 275 Pocasset, It is 273 Pocasset Pros: best wigs and costumes Cons: short hours more

The costumes are incredible. The quality and craftmanship is genuis. I can't believe they make the costumes there and we have this shop right here in Rhode Island. I live in NYC and have never seen costumes of this impeccable quality. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into the creations. Besides the costumes, they make mascots, hats, headpieces ect. The customer service is excellent. They are so nice there. They will even help you or give you free information about your costume design. I was amazed at the generousity of customer service. more

They have the best costumes in rhode island. The quality is above the charts. This is not your typical party/halloween store. Bruna has theatrical quality costumes at affordable prices. You can tell that they have a passion for their costumes because they make a lot of them. I hate it when I go to a party and find 3 other people with the same costume. They have their own label. They sell to other costume shop in the United States, but none in R.I. Pros: best quality costume rentals more

I HAVE BEEN AROUND COSTUMES ALL MY LIFE AND I SEE THE SAME STUFF ON LINE, BUT AT BRUNA'S , THE COSTUMES ARE REAL ,, I MEAN THAT THEY LOOK LIKE REAL PIRATES OR COLONIAL OR WHATEVER, BUT YOU COME OUT OF THERE LOOKING LIKE THE REAL CHARACTER. I finally found people at Bruna Costumes that know how to apply make-up. Sure you can buy it on line, but what do you know about it. At Bruna's they know how to apply make-up, how to set it, how to make it stay on and so on. Ask a question at a halloween store and the girl behind the counter says,'don't know'. Miss USA latina had her costume made at Bruna Costumes 6/17/2008

I walked into Bruna Costumes last week and saw this gorgeous girl modeling a white feathered costume. She looked incredible. I found out later that she was Miss USA Latina and was wearing the costume made by Bruna in the pageant in The Domimican Republic.
