If you don't have a long time to wait on your dresses to come back dont bother going. Hardly anything on the racks were over a size 6. I and my wedding party left very disappointed!!!! more

Horrible customer service. If you like the run-around while already stressing on those last minute wedding details, then this is the place for you. Dress arrived 20 days later than I was told that it would be arriving. Communication is horrible, condescending, and rude, and the story changes every time you call. If you like being told by the manager ""now I'm going to talk, and you're going to listen"" then this is your place. Great prices, but not worth the stress or the hassle. I'd rather pay full price than deal with these unprofessional people. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/26/2013

I just went to Bridal Mart today to look at wedding dresses. This is the first place I've looked and I was really just hoping to get an idea of what styles worked and what didn't and figured I'd end up at a few boutiques after narrowing down what I liked. We ended up finding a number of dresses that I instantly fell in love with and bought my dress today! Now, ladies, I am not an easy pleaser so I couldn't believe this one dress shopping trip did it for me but I couldn't be happier. I have a gorgeous dress and I'm done shopping!\r \r One thing I liked is that our small group was probably there for 4 hours and the ladies who worked there never made me feel like we were in the way or that we needed to leave because we had overstayed our welcome. Also, I had to have tried on at least 20 dresses. The first few I picked out, the next few my girlfriends picked out, and then our helper (Leslie) just kept bringing dresses to me until I started falling in love. They didn't care that I was taking my time (and trying on some of the same dresses a few times). Leslie listened to what I liked about the dresses I was trying on and then would go out and find something more like what I was looking for and eventually she is the one who found THE dress!\r \r One piece of advice, take a good girlfriend with you to go in the back and help you get in/out of dresses. The ladies working there are there to help you (and Leslie did find my dress) but they are also helping other people too. (Like I said we were there for 4 hours and it was a busy Saturday.) Bridal Mart doesn't take appointments so before you go you should understand that whoever is helping you isn't ""your"" consultant. It ended up not being a problem for me because I had my MOH with me and she was an awesome helper. more

TERRI was PERFECT!! 2/19/2012

My sister, niece, and I, went to Bridal mart yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. It was extremely busy but I was told it is always like this on the weekends. Nevertheless, (TERRI) was wonderful. She didn't mind answering a question even though she was busy. She stayed on top of all my needs as well as other brides. Even though, she could not help me immediately she ACKNOWLEDGED my party and myself, she kept us informed as to her whereabouts, she anticipated my needs, she was informative about dresses, she held great conversations, and she SMILED above all else. I was even looking at another wedding dress at another store but she helped me try on a dress that I LOVED!!!! She was extremely honest with constructive criticisms. I am 100% positive that I will buy all my bridal party items from Bridal mart. I am still debating the wedding dress. Trust me I know how IMPORTANT customer service is. I work in a Large Emergency Department and most complaints are related to ""Poor Attitudes."" I did not get that here. Even my teenage niece was impressed!! Only thing is that they don?t have curtains to cover you when you change but after years in the military I could care less. I care about being treated WELL! I care that the staff cares that I am spending ?A Lot? of money here. If you want a great experience without distress, Go see TERRI!!!! Honestly, everyone there was wonderful!! (TERRI) was just the chocolate covered strawberry on top of the cake. Thank you soooooo much Terri!! I look forward to placing my order when I get all my bridesmaids sizes. Again, thank you for a job WEL DONE!!! more

GREAT experience! 7/26/2011

I had a WONDERFUL experience at the Burlington Bridal Mart when my mom and went there two weeks ago on Thursday July 14 2011. I worked with Betsy who was so very knowledgeable---not only about possible alterations but also about the layout of the store. She literally would ask me what I liked or didn't like about a dress I was wearing and then would ask one of the teenagers working there to go find certain dresses (i.e. ""Go look in aisle 17 about half way down for blahblahblah""). The store carries LOTS of dresses too---I think over 3000. And their prices are cheaper than anywhere else I've seen. I'm buying a Waters dress (ordering it new!) for only $615. I couldn't be more pleased. more

Terrible Customer Service 6/29/2011

We needed to order Bill Levkoff bridesmaid dresses for an August wedding and had checked several places online that said we needed to order 12 weeks ahead of time. When I placed our order online at Bridal Mart 14 weeks before the wedding, I got a phone call that I would have to pay a rush fee of $60/dress and we needed 7 dresses. I argued and argued and was told that the chart I had seen only says how long it takes until they ship the dresses from China and I wouldn't get them for 2 or 3 weeks after that. At their insistance, I agreed to the late fee. They said the rush charge takes two weeks off of the date of arrival. As it turns out, the dresses came in just 6 weeks after I ordered them and 8 weeks before the wedding. Now, I have to say, given the nightmare stories others have told, I am lucky to have my dresses in time and in the right color. However, it was clearly unnecessary for me to pay the $420 rush charge. I told them I felt I had been misled and asked them to refund at least their profit on the rush, but they refused. I will not do business with them again. While I got a great deal on the price of the dresses, I lost what I had gained in the unreasonable rush charge. By the way, I also dealt with Tia. Finally, be aware that there is a good chance a friend or employee submitted the glowing reviews seen here. more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! 6/3/2011

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! One of the assistant managers - Tia - has no idea how to treat customers. There was absolutely no empathy whatsoever. Our dresses arrived from the designer in the WRONG COLOR. When time was of the essence, they took responsibility for nothing. This place should be burned to the ground with all of their terrible employees in it. more

Bridal Mart 3/22/2011

My mom and I went to Bridal Mart yesterday. It was the first place we had looked at any wedding dresses. We went on a Monday at about 1:00. There were only 2 or 3 other bridal parties in the store, and more than enough employees to help you. There was a large selection and it was very well organized by size and even by type. The sales lady that was ""assigned"" to us was very nice and very helpful. Once she knew kind of what I was looking for, she brought me dresses to try on. One of the dresses she suggested will probably be my wedding dress. The dressing room was large, but a little odd because there was no privacy at all. There was just a large open room with hooks to hang dresses on. The women working in the dressing room were very helpful with zippers and dress clips. The area with the mirror is very large, but it is outside of the dressing room. I felt kind of awkward when trying on dresses that were too small and having to walk out into the store to look in the mirror. That is another thing, if you are a larger girl, you may have to try on dresses that are too small and just visualize what they would look like if they fit. If you decide on a dress, they will measure you and order it in your size. I was told dresses take about 12 weeks to arrive and you need to make sure you order early or pay a rush fee. I found out later that this pretty much applies to all bridal stores. The prices were very reasonable. The dress I think I may have decided on was $470. When I looked it up online later the cheapest I could find it was $650. I would definitely recommend it. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a large selection of dresses, including plus sizes. I would also recommend for any bridal store that you bring undergarments like control top hose or tummy tucker garments and strapless bras (anything you think you might need to wear under your dress). This may help more with the fitting of the dress, especially if the dress is too small and you need to be measured. more

Customer Service is Non-Existant!! 12/21/2010

Our experience with the Bridal Mart staff has been nothing but unpleasant. They are not professionals (shows in their lack of knowledge and appearance) and once you sign on the dotted line and pay your money, you are forgotten. We have had to follow up on the status of our shipment, otherwise, we would know NOTHING. No one reaches out to you to provide any information and what you do get when you initiate contact is usually incorrect. I have never seen such incompetent people and I hate that we chose this establishment to purchase the wedding dress. more

Will I ever get my dress? 10/28/2009

When I went bridal mart, i had a pretty good experience. There was a wide selection an variety of dresses and the prices on most of them were pretty good. Word of caution, if you're looking for the private attention and experience of a boutique, this place is not for you. Nonetheless, the lack of personal attention was not my concern. My greatest concern is that I purchased my dress on July 7th. I was told it would arrive on October 5th and that someone would call me. I called on Oct. 9th and was told my dress had no arrived. No big deal for it to be 4 days late. The lady said she would call the next Monday. The next Wednesday after receiving no call. I called back again, the lady put me on hold ""went in the back"" to look for my dress told me it wasn't there and said she would call be the next Monday. At this point I'm slightly perturbed. Today is October 28th, 23 days after my gown should have arrived. I called there today and was told that the dress shipped on this past Monday and will arrive next Monday. I explained to the associate what had occurred and that everyone seemed very apathetic about my dress being a month late. She ""assured"" me that people were very concerned and that their dress order person called the gown company and the company was very apologetic. Despite their ""concern"" no one has called me in almost a month and had I not called them I doubt I would have received any updates from them as of yet. My wedding isn't until next June so it is honestly not a big deal for my dress to be late, but if you give someone a deadline, you should keep it and if something happens where you can't keep it, you should definitely keep in contact with that person. So, if your wedding is 5 months away or less, I don't recommend buying a dress from them unless you're going to get it right off the rack and take it home with you then and there. I pointed out to the lady that my dress will likely need alterations which can also take 2-3 months and her reply was that they do alt. Why would I want the same people who were apathetic about my dress being a month late to alter it too? Pros: Wide Variety, lower Prices Cons: Been waiting 4 months for my dress more

PLEASE DON'T GO TO BRIDAL MART!!! 7/20/2009

I am hoping this review will keep at least one bride from making the same mistake I did by buying my dream dress from Bridal Mart in Burlington, NC. Yes, I agree... I thought Bridal Mart was awesome, but saving some money is not worth having your wedding dress ruined by a bunch of amateurs claiming to be professionals! I bought a premier collection and paid extra for them to spend 40 minutes measuring me so the dress would arrive fitted. I was told 14-16 weeks when ordered in Oct 08. After 16 weeks I kept calling them and calling them and they didn't know why the dress wasn't ready. It finally came in after 18 weeks and it was over 2 inches too long!! With a lot of back and forth they finally admitted they measured me wrong, but told me it was too late and there was nothing I could do. Due to their lack of response with 6 weeks before my May wedding (3 month after the dress originally came in - that long of arguing!!) I missed out on ordering any of my accessories because they had my paid in full dress!! They then tried to correct their mistakes by creating more problems by taking it in too much and pulling it up too high. They won't return calls, they just don't care! They even cut the bottom lace of my wedding gown to try to shorten it and left the cuts hanging out at the end of my train... and then denied it was from them!! Having your dream dress ruined is not worth saving a few bucks... even if it was hundreds!! Not only do we have to go to court, but I can NEVER get my wedding memories replaced. They not only took my money, but they stole the one thing every bride should have on their wedding day... to feel beautiful! Pros: Tons of dresses to choose Cons: They don't care about their customers more

Definitely go there! 7/19/2009

I had a major issue with the dress I got at David's Bridal, so I needed a dress PRONTO! I contacted an online store and paid $100 for rush shipping, only to have them call me a week later to tell me my dress would not be ready until the day before my wedding. That wouldn't work. My wedding is in August. It's July. I decided to check out Bridal Mart. The problem I've been having is that I'm a Plus Sized Gal and no one seems to carry plus sized dresses. I guess dress designers think we are too fat to get married? Not sure. Anyway, the staff at Bridal Mart, particularly Ms. Pam, were very helpful! I found a BUNCH of dresses in my size and tried on 6 of them and finally decided on the first one I tried on. It was an Alfred Angelo and $140 cheaper at Bridal Mart than I had found online. I recommend going! The dressing room does leave you vulnerable, so make sure you are prepared to have flashbacks of changing for gym class in high school in front of all of the hot young girls with perky chests. Pros: SOOO Many Dresses! Plus Sizes! Buy the same day! Cons: open dressing room, reminded me of gym class in high school more

WARNING DO NOT GO THERE 12/1/2008

I went to Bridal Mart because they competed with another salon's price for my dress. I waited 17 weeks for my dress to come in. They kept pushing back the delivery date. I live in FL and bought a ticket to fly up for the 3rd and final estimated date which happened to be 4 weeks before my wedding! I called 2 days before and they said it was probably not going to come in until 2 days before my wedding!!!!! When we told them it was unacceptable they would not give us our money back and would not call us back. My Dad finally got the deposit back and I had 2 days to find a dress. I went to Carolina Bridal in Smithfield and they had a WONDERFUL selection and let me buy the sample dress.... SO even though you think you are getting a deal at Bridal Mart your dress may never show up! Pay the extra and buy it at a nice place! Pros: cheap Cons: trashy more

Good customer service and great deals on dresses 9/9/2008

I went to the Bridal Mart during the week and it was great. If you go there on the weekends, you will not get helped and it is so many people there. The service was great and helpful. The lady who helped me gave me her honest opinion on the dress. They won't let you take but 3 dresses back at a time. The only complaint I would have is the dressing room. The first day I went, there was a lady standing there in a thong; nobody wants to see that! But if you are comfortable being undressed infront of people this won't bother you. Once you get in there and you see nobody is really looking at you and don't care that you are undressed, it gets a little more comfortable. So I would recommend this store to anyone if you want a great deal and nice customer service. more

OK to shop there, but buy from their web site 2/25/2007

I agree with all of the above. Weekends are a disaster to shop there. Lots of dresses, but most are older styles and dirty. However, I was told by a nice person I met there. Once you DO find a dress you like, you can buy it for MUCH LESS from their web site ebridalsuperstore Pros: lots of dresses to try on Cons: one large fitting room, not much service more

not recommended if you are shy about your body 2/11/2007

The selection to choose from was great here. I personally was looking for a pick up skirt style, and they diddnt have hardly any of those, so I was very very dissapointed. But they did have tons of gowns in other styles, so I have to give them that. The bad thing was that the dressing room is just one huge room with ""mini walls"" that stand out about a foot from the wall, all the way down the room every 5 feet. You are told to take off your clothes and put them in your little ""stall"" and then you get your dresses on. So you are clothesless around 30 other brides. I felt like an animal or something. Pros: tons of dresses, lots of mirrors on the sales floor, friendly staff Cons: NO privacy at all, dresses were very dirty more

Best value ever! 11/21/2006

The selection at Bridal Mart is to die for. You can try on dresses in your size, no matter what that is, and even though privacy is a little bit lacking, I'd change clothes in a parking lot for the price. My dress came in in a week, was less than half the cost of the same dress at a different store and is flawless. You can't beat that with a stick. Pros: large sizes, low prices, huge selection, helpful salespeople Cons: lack of privacy, well-worn sample dresses more

User review by katiekat1008 3/27/2006

Although they have a huge selection, when it came time to try on a dress I was pointed toward a hallway in which there were no dressing rooms--only half-naked women being ushered around like cattle. There were no mirrors in the dressing room, and because I was alone I was not able to tie the corset back to one of the dresses I tried on. When I wanted to try on another dress, I was asked if I was going to buy the one I had on (to which I responded that I wasn't sure yet) and that I'd have to give it back to them to be put out on the floor ""in case someone else wanted to try it on."" Overall, the store was incredibly unfriendly and not helpful at all. It may have bargains, but that's all it has. Pros: Large Selection, Prices Cons: Crowded, SERVICE, Sales Pressure more
