Best personal training in Bay Area 10/9/2007

John is an amazing fitness trainer and an inspiring person to be around. His sessions combine the latest, cutting edge techniques in a tailored one-hour total body workout that is fun and delivers results. He sets realistic goals with the client and keeps the client motivated to achieve them, incorporating nutrition advice and lifestyle counseling. What sets John apart is his deep concern for the client's wellbeing and success. He meets the client where s/he is and crafts a program specifically designed to meet the client's needs. John is extremely professional and takes his vocation very seriously. He regularly attends conferences and seminars to stay abreast of developments and teaching in his field. He pursues excellence for himself and his clients, but does so in an unassuming, gentle manner that makes working out (and spending time with John) a true pleasure. Best Way to Shed Pounds and Have Fun While Doing it!! 9/28/2007

John is the best trainer ever! I was skeptical at first and feared getting the ""drill sargent"" type of trainer that makes you go home crying every night and dreading going back. But even after my first session, John helped me access my goals and after the 1st workout I felt great! John takes fitness very seriously, but doesn't pressure you or make you feel anxious, and makes working out something you might actually start to enjoy! He is really flexible with scheduling, a great motivator, understands a woman's body and how to tone without looking too muscular and bulky, is super funny and makes the workout just fly by with the endless variations and combinations of fitness techniques. I would reccommend him to anyone, man, woman or couch potato, who really wants to get in shape and have a great time doing it! Don't be afraid! Flexible, motivating, and fun! 7/5/2007

I worked out with John for 12 weeks. I feel that I got into the best shape I have ever been. I had always struggled to even gain a couple of pounds. John taught me exercises, motivated me, and gave me the tools I needed to continue on my path of fitness. Since working out with John and using the techniques and goals he helped me set, I have gotten myself from 150lbs to 160 lbs in just under 5 months. \r \r He teaches you about nutrition, provides personalize advice, and personalized training. I never felt like I wasn't performing well nor did I get discouraged. I began to see results rather quickly which provided extra motivation. I highly recommend John with BodyFi as a personal trainer! more

John gets results 6/20/2007

I came to John thinking I knew everything about workouts and nutrition, but was still 5 pounds heavier than I wanted to be. I've worked out regularly for most of my adult life, and closely monitor my diet, but could not understand why I was not getting the results I wanted. After our first day together I realized I had much to learn from him, and have. First, I learned to forget about the scale, and to focus on building strength. Second, John taught when I eat is an important as what. He helped me to thoroughly analyze my food diaries, and suggested smart and simple changes that have produced lasting results. Thirdly, he taught me that eating well and exercising regularly does not have to be all-consuming. Two strength training sessions a week with John (coupled with cardio on my own), gave me all the results I was looking for, AND made me feel more confident about myself and the way I'm living my life. I came to him tense and insecure about my weight and body. Thanks to him I'm relaxed and confident with my diet and workouts--stronger inside and out.\r \r Thanks John! WOW! This really works... 12/26/2006

I went to BodyFi looking for structure in my busy life. I had gained about 20 unwanted pounds, and I was swapping muscle for fat. Not only did I get structure, but John's workouts were constantly varied which kept me from getting bored and constantly challenged my body. I noticed the first change in the way my pants fit--and how solid my core felt. He constantly coaches me on proper form and always engages the entire body during the workout, which is very efficient--it's like a full body workout in an hour. I thought I would give it a try, now I am hooked. Friends and family who hadn't seen me in weeks commented at the results, unsolicited, which was a nice suprise. I'm about to turn 47 and couldn't be happier with the way I look.\r With John's training, diet and nutrition advice I've lost 18 pounds in\r four months. Alternative training - amazing results! 8/24/2006

Before meeting John, I thought I had tried everything. I stay pretty active and used to workout 5 times a week but I didnt ever see results. Its been a little over a month since I started with John. We do exercises Ive never seen before and the workout is always challenging. In a month, I gained 4 lbs of muscle and an inch on my biceps! John asked me about my goals when we started and he helps me plan both my nutrition and workout schedules to meet those goals. I train 2-3 times a week with John and couldnt be happier! more

Best shape after babies! 8/21/2006

I've been training with John for 3 years and he's a very professional and qualified trainer. He helped me bounce back after 2 babies with intense cardio and core stenght training. His core conditioning workouts have helped me in every activity I've pursued..from running, to competitve tennis and ashtanga yoga. John at BodyFi is by far one of the best trainers I have ever seen/worked with! I was visiting San Fran for the weekend and he was flexible and more than willing to train me!
