We went to Big Tomato last night ( July11) Their coupon said Lobster Dinner Buy one get one free $21.95 \r NOT TRUE what they meant was buy a lobster dinner for $21.95 and get a second lobster only free. NOT a second dinner. Needless to say the poor waitress was deluged with irate customers. We ended up spending twice what we thought , The lobsters were delicious but there were a lot of angry people there last night . I dont think the management was subversive... just real stupid and I dont think he will use the same wording in the future . After we calmed down and ordered two lobsters each all was well but my $21.95 was in reality 44 bucks\r Their food is very good but I find it a bit pricey for pasta . For example spaghetti and clam sauce about 18 bucks or so..Nice place but there are much better values in Broward than Big Tomato with food just as good. more

The Big Tomato is one of my favorie places in the Pines. The food and staff are fantastic. Sandra and Nicole are great bartenders and Jay makes a great pizza, very close to New York style. The Sunday Brunch is also great. Stop by if you are in the area. more

I make it a point to go to the Big Tomato whenever I am in the area. They have one of the best bartenders in Florida working there. Her name is Sandra she is very attentive and always remembers what I drink and informing me of the specials. The pizza is also very good there. I highly recomend going there. more

Love the atmosphere. The food is amazing, anything on their menu is authentic Italian food. The minute you walk in the restaurant, you'll fall in love with the warmth and friendly service. I have tried many items in their menu and to me, I love them all! more

Great Catering 12/28/2011

Had our Christmas party catered by Big Tomato. It was awesome. Jason was the caterer that came and set everything up. You can tell he was a real pro. Everyone was amazed by the spread and I was happy with the overall outcome. Looks like we found a place for our Xmas dinner every year. more

On an average day i go to this restaurant for the dollar shots of strawberry upside-down cake and the array of sauces i can dip my wings into. \r Upon discovering the Sunday brunch i made it a point to bring company and try every desert and meaty morsel that they put out for us. It was a delicious and engaging experience. Hot trays of food line the walls from the main room to the bar, and much to my surprise there was a cook stationed in the center of the room to prepare customized omelletes.\r I still go in on Tuesday nights for the cheap wings but once a month I stop in for a tasty Sunday breakfast. more

Terrible service. Food was good. It's a shame we won't be going back. It used to be one of my favorite Italian restaurants. more

Love i 7/24/2011

Went there today for the first time. The brunch was great, we had a fantastic server, Jennifer. She was very bubbly and pleasant. She talked to us about their Thursday night wine tasting and daily happy hour. She made our experience very enjoyable! The food for brunch was great, constantly being refreshed - nice and hot. They have an omelet station where they make them fresh for you and how you want it. The boy that was there today was great and made one of the best omelet I've ever had. Can't wait for next week! more

Recently my friends and I heard about a cosy, friendly and comfortable italian restaurant called the BIG TOMATO MARKET GRILL. I had some guest from Europe in town and all 8 of us went to Pembroke Pines to check it out.\r What a wonderful surprise. The food was exeptional and the portions were humangus. Delicious Garlic rolls and 2 joices of salads or 2 soups are included. Love the decor and i felt like sitting in good old Italy. Music was great, and the service, well the service was outstanding. The Manager greeted us, the beautiful hostess was seating us and the waitress helped us deciding what to choose. She suggested the Seafood Lobster Ravioli in Blushsauce. We were waited on constantly, as soon as our drinks were about to be empty, there was a refill. the Manager also brought us some Wine samples, upon we later decided on a bravorus Chianti.\r No room for deserts, but my mother in law liked her pasta so much, she orderd an additional one to go. With a wonderful Chocolate Cappuchini and mints in the checkbook we said good bye and promised to come back.\r What a wonderful evening.\r We, I, definetely suggest this place, its good for big partys and romantic dates.\r Thank You from all of us, Big Tomato-people.\r Cheers, the Perner-family more

Went there today. We had a large party. Our waiter Botnar was amazing. Took our orders he was very organized and everything came out of the kitchen fine. He was very cordial and looked after us in a wonderful manner. The food was great and the quantity of food was huge most left with doogy bags. Highly recommend it. more

Great food, lousy service 3/27/2011

My husband and I have lived in the area over 40 years. We use to frequent the Big Tomato Market Grill a couple of times a month and it was always delicious. For various reasons, it has been about three years since our last visit. We had dinner with several friends there early this evening and the food was as great as we remembered, but our experience was lest that great or even good. We went early and the restaurant was not busy yet. The waitress was inattentive, slow and very unpleasant, actually rude. Her responses to questions regarding items on the menu were short and curt, the service was slow and her attitude very demeaning. Most of the party had salads with the dinner. We waited quite awhile for them to come. After most of us were finished with our salads, the people who had requested soup still had not received it. When one of them asked her about the soup, her reply that it was coming was short and nasty. It did not come for about 5 more minutes. Both her attitude and the service continued to declined through the meal. We paid our bill without saying anything, but were very dissatified with the service. Usually the only recourse a customer has when the service is bad is not to leave a tip, however the customer does not have that option at your restaurant. We were forced to leave an 18% grtuity for a very unpleasnt experience. Will we most likely will return because your food is excellent but if we experience the same kind of service again, it will be our last visit to Big Tomatoe Market Grill . No one wants to pay for poor service and attitude and then have to give the waitress who made their experience less than desireable a tip. She had no right to expect or recieve one. more

The food was decent. Had a Prob with noticing all the chafing dishes sternos were out. The brunch starts at 10:30 I was there at 11:30. dishes that were in the chafing were luke warm. They had a vast aray of salads( potato which was bland- various pasta slads) were not on ice/, The peel and eat shrimp and the poached salmon was on ice..They had pizza too ( the only reason I went) It was greasy- not like the pizza they serve normally. Service was good- brought drinks and cleared dishes promptly.\r \r For the record I weigh 112 lbs and in no way ever eat my dollar for a buffet! Just sayin. more

We don't eat here as much as we used to, because with Cafe Iguana sharing the same shopping center, sometimes the parking lot can be like a zoo. This time we came for lunch to avoid the crowd, but we didn't have the full menu to order from. The food is very good and really fills you up, so come hungry. My fave is the Eggplant Siciliano and Patty loves the Chicken Francese. The only thing I've ever had here that I didn't like, was the chicken wings, I didn't like the sauce. more
