OMG Took my laptop (which I bought at best buy) in for a screen replacement. They said it would cost $450 to repair and it would take 2-3 weeks. I we ahead and let them fix it but when it came back it was worse than before and they wiped out my entire hard drive! These "geek squad" people have little no no training and should not be trusted with your data or computer! more

Bad customer service 12/20/2008

I called to speak to a representative at 1230 in the afternoon and I let the phone ring for at least five minutes. I was calling from my cell that I bought there. so used five minutes of air time for nothing, nobody ever answered, I just had to hang up. I bought two car chargers in a row from there for my cell phone that did not work too by the way. I would not deal with this Best buy EVER if I was you. Pros: lots of stuff Cons: stuff does not work more

Best buy is amazing 3/3/2008

i went to bestbuy in looks of purchasing a computer and got more than i suspected. on my arrival i was greeted by friendly employees and was very impressed by how good their customer service was. i recieved help in purchasing a computer and they asked questions to figure out exactly what i needed. After i chose my computer i was ready to go home but then they asked me if i had internet service at my home. i thought i had everything under control but i didnt these guys know better what i need than i do. so they suggesed in signing me up for broad band that day and it would save me $100 on my computer so i did it. After that they talked to me about geek squads service plans that offer extra protection to my computer i got a 3 year accidental waranty that assures if anything accidental happens they will fix it for me. in the end i was very happy and will be going back every time i have a need for anything electronic. more

Don't waste your time. Prices are just to high and people don't even know it. 11/17/2005

Purchased a new Seagate and had to return it the next day, which isn't Bestbuys fault but while I was trying to return my item I had to wait over 20 minutes at the Salem store and the girls working there totally ignored me and it wasnt even busy. While I was waiting and watching the girls, they did absolutely nothing and they were trying to look busy but they never did a damn thing. I noticed a friend was there also trying to figure out something on there iPod that they purchase from Bestbuy and the Geek dicks were rude and disrespectful. I have a gift card but I'll wait until a birthday comes up. Most of these reviews for bestbuy are faked because I know someone from the Insider Pages and they said they're coming directly from BestBuy and Geek Squad website IP ranges. We love Best Buy. If we ever need to buy anthing electronic in Salem, this is where we look first. They seem to have the best prices over-all. We have purchased video game systems and TV's from them. Their staff is very knowledgeable about the products they sell and willing to spend time with you answering your questions. more

Go here for lots of technology items 7/14/2005

Best Buy specializes in electronic equipment (like games and computers), visual equipment (like TVs and camcorders), and appliances (like washers and dryers). They also have car alarms and other smaller items, like phones and movies. They have a good selection, and it's really a wonderful place to go for someone interested in these things. The drawback is they don't offer much to someone not interested in electronics. The employees are helpful, and the return policy works good. more

This is a great store nice staff and lots of good deals. I dont go anywhere else for my electronic needs. I just recently moved to Salem and I use to love the one off 82nd in portland but this one works just fine! :) more

Best Electronic Deals in Town 7/9/2005

I like to shop around and have done a whole lot of comparison shopping. Best Buy is easily has the best prices (consistently). You may find an occasional sale at Circuit City that can compare, but when you take into consideration the value of the service (these folks do NOT work on commission and are extremely knowledgeable), no other electronic store comes close in Salem. Best Buy is really a great place to get what you are looking for. They are very helpful and knowledgable. We always get great deals, and seems like there is always some sort of rebate that we get more money off. They have a nice return policy, and we have never had any trouble returning something. The customer service is wonderful. I recently bought a camera from them, and they were out in the store, but they made sure that it was shipped to me and that everything was taken care of. I got it a few days later and I love it! more

Best buy has consistently produced good service and helpful employees. When purchasing or even returning merchandise they have been very helpful, fast, and friendly. They have also helped me to find the best deal for my money and access any and all manufactuers discounts and delivery fee waivers. Definitely one of the better large scale electronic sales stores. more

I love this store! They've got almost anything you need - computers, cameras, sound systems for your home and auto, cd's, appliances... you get the idea! The prices are pretty good here, too. I can't forget to mention how friendly and helpful the employees are, or how clean and organized the store is. more

Place to buy videos and games 4/27/2005

Best buy is the place to buy videos and games. They offer a wide selection and competitive prices. They usually have some promotional items at a very good price. At Christmas time they will run some hot items way below the price of other stores. They also clearance items out on an ongoing basis. I also bought a washer from best buys and had a pleasent experience. more
