Their dry cleaning isn't shabby. You could do a lot worse, and for something as important as a suit, I'll pay for the quality. All in all, not bad. You can't go wrong. more

I'll admit, that prior to Barry Regent, I'd always hit a discount dry cleaner. With the discount dry cleaners I've used, it was always the same: over starched, not very pleasant dry clean smell, and just poor results (although, in retrospect, I don't know what I was hoping for). Barry Regent has always cleaned my clothes thoroughly and made them like new! I take my ""important clothes"" (i.e., favorite dresses and suits and silk) to Barry Regent. No one handles my important and special clothes except for Barry Regent. more

Top-notch 6/16/2011

I use three drycleaners depending on what I am having cleaned. Barry Regent is my go-to, top-notch, high end cleaner. I use them for things I have made that need a final pressing, things that need some love and are worth a mint, and generally delicate things that I wouldn't trust to any other business. more

I've used this place twice so far: once to have a pair of jeans altered, and once to have a pair of suits dry cleaned. They did a great job on the pants. The original hem was excellent, and they fit perfectly now. I was quoted a week, and they were ready on time. more

I only did delivery here because I don't have time to go and drop off during the weekday. Granted I always keep my clothes in good condition, but my suit, dress shirt and AX faux fur sweater came back in awesome condition! They also delivered on time as promise. more

I'd give this place 5 stars. I still go here when I need any of my better clothes cleaned, and that's because they do a phenomenal job. Ivory pants got splattered with mud? No problem. Red wine on my white jacket? Sure, they can probably get that out. more

They did an exceptional job 5/20/2011

Barry Regent was recommended to me by some of my neighbors after having a few bad experiences at other dry cleaners. I must say I was very impressed with the way things turned out. Not only did I have my clothes cleaned I also had them hem a few pairs of my pants. They did an exceptional job. I find it well worth the price. They do send out coupons quite frequently so that always is a plus. more

I don't generally buy clothes that require dry cleaning, because I'm cheap and because I don't trust other people to handle my clothes. I think that stems from my mother ""misplacing"" (see: trashing) my favorite pair of pants when I was like 10 years old because they were thread-bare and sad. Anyhoo, back to Barry Regent. I attended a wedding... And let's just say a nice young lady on my shuttle back to our hotel had a little ""accident"" (see: spinach dip + open bar for 4 hours) in my frickin' lap!! That's right. You're thinking what I'm thinking.... It's the worst thing I think that can ever happen, ESPECIALLY when I was wearing such a pretty dress!!! So I'm totally embarrassed to bring this into the cleaners because it smells terrible and I don't want them to think that I threw up on myself!!! (I did rinse it out at the hotel, but trust me, that didn't do much.) Long story short, they cleaned it, it's clean. No markings or spinach remnants in sight. THANK GOD!! more

It is definitely worth it!!! 5/2/2011

Barry Regent is a great dry cleaner that has been around forever. I have had every sort of service done here: from dry cleaning to alterations to having a very expensive couture sweater ""blocked"". But what I really have to give them 5 stars for is the work they did on hemming all of my designer jeans. They will alter the inseam but keep the original hem which is very important for jeans that cost a small fortune. It is definitely worth it!!! more

I've been going here for a few years and have never had a problem - in fact, a few times they got stains out when I wasn't sure what they were. Once I noticed a stain that didn't come out so they redid it and refunded my money. Since I travel a lot I love that they offer same day service. more

It's no coincidence that Barry Regent is voted Chicago's best cleaners year after year after year. They simply do a damn good job. If you need your pants hemmed or your shirts pressed, this is the best to come. It isn't cheap, but they'll make you look gooooooood. more

Definitely give it a try 4/12/2011

You can usually find coupons in the nieghborhood mailer packets, which are worth using. Definitely give it a try - I can guarantee you'll be pleased with the results, and given how many recognitions they've received, it seems they can guarantee it too. more
