Best Thai food in town 7/9/2010

If you are looking for great tasting Thai dishes in the area, then this is the place for you! Bangkok Thyme will also satisfy your cravings for sushi. Weird to find sushi in a Thai place, but I liked it anyway.\r \r I will certainly be hitting this place again with my friends! Pros: the best sushi more

Great food, Great service! 7/7/2010

We have eaten at many Thai restaurants in the Atlanta area and this might be our new favorite! Great curry and other Thai food with just the right amount of spicy-ness (they ask you exactly how spicy you want each dish!). Plus, the service was phenomenal and very friendly! We will be back! more

Fantastic Food & Service 11/4/2009

This is our favorite sushi restaurant. They have a great deal on their daily sushi ""happy hour"" and their Thai food is excellent, too. We have been going for years and always have great service. We have an 11 and 14 year old that absolutely love the place as much as we do, and the best thing is that there is something for everyone - great variety! Pros: Love their sushi more

Great Sushi & Atmosphere 10/5/2009

Excellent food and they delivery through Mobile Waiters Atl Pros: Great Variety more

THE BEST THAI & SUSHI! 3/30/2009

Bangkok Thyme is not far down the road from where I live, and has been a favorite haunt of mine! They have absolutely incredible Pad Woonsen, as well as many other traditional Thai dishes. When my family comes to visit, they always have to stop by. The Pad Thai with glass noodles is also a great choice, as well as their curry dishes. I've only had the sushi on a couple of visits, since I can't bear to not their other incredible entrees, but it has been good each time also. I HIGHLY recommend this! Pros: Sushi and well-prepepd entrees (Pad Woonsen) Cons: occasional slow service when restaurant is packed more

Best Thai Food in ATL 3/7/2009

I have been to Bangkok Thyme just about every week since I discovered the place last year. The atmosphere is very nice. And everyone is so friendly. i personally have fallen in Love with the Panang Curry there. I've had almost everything on the menu but the Panang curry, something about the subtle coconut flavor mixed with the slight citrus tang that hits your pallet after just melt my heart all over. Recently I tried the Green Curry Fried rice for the first time and I'm sorry to say, I think I'm cheating on my favorite dish. I had never had the Green curry dish before, however the Green Curry Fried Rice was moist- but not too wet, delicious, and I came in a hefty portion! If you ever get a chance to go in there I know you'll love all their dishes, but you should try the Panang or The Green Curry Fried Rice, you'll love it! Pros: Food is Great! Cons: On Busy nights service is a little lacking more

yummy sushi spicy thai food 1/19/2009

i had spicy holy basil thai style, just can tell, was awesome!!! my wife also had the sushi was so good but took too long. we had been waiting for 40 min just 1 entree from the sushi chef. by the way our server kept coming to let us know what's going on. \r (s)he was so nice taking care of us even though she had to take care others table at the same time. we are the regular customer and never feel disappointed with the chef before, we do understand everytime it was busy. the new manager (tall & dark guy) just walked around and did nothing. Pros: best thai food & very good service Cons: poor management more

attentive server 1/17/2009

after we got our table, black lady came and took our spring roll order, then we had been waiting for that. another server came and asked whether we had been help, then she took our entree order. she came back and let us know that there was nothing for our table, then she tried to follow up our spring roll because that BLACK LADY forgot to put our appetizer. we had been waiting for just the spring roll, the 2nd server kept following our order for so many times. that's made us feel why just the appetizer took so long long time, we knew it wasn't server's false, she also followed up for us all the time.\r we were so appreciate the 2nd server, not the black lady, who had never came to us again.\r thank you for very very attentive 2nd server. \r we would be back because of we had a very good service from the 2nd server. thanks again. (we forgot to ask the 2nd server's name, she's got a short hair just like a boy) also for management please take care of the processing how to make the appetizer, we don't think it should take too long like this. Pros: very very attentive server Cons: poor management more

best food good service 1/17/2009

to : whom it may concern sat jan 17 ,we both just had the great dinner (with the awesome server who is just like a little tomboy)at the small booth beside the sushi bar. we noticed that our server who was working so hard with 2 customers behind us, she had tried to explain about something in the soup that the restaurant had it before now they changed that thing but that lady just wanted that thing, we guessed, then the server tried harder whether anything she could make her customers happy, everytime that couple asked the server everything, she did it for them IMMEDIATELY! and NICELY!. but we really don't know what's going on that couple was not happy. we just want to say ""sorry"" to our server as we know you worked so hard to her customers but it doesnt work to the one who is hartless. we also want to say that she WAS DOING VERY GREAT JOB. Pros: very helpful server Cons: heartless customer cause of someone more

Best Thai in Atlanta 7/27/2008

My fiancee and I have been to so many thai restaurants in Atlanta, and this one is my favorite by far. The spicy thai basil and four company dishes are amazing! I always want to try something new when I go, but these two are so good that I just can't do it! The staff is so polite and attentive. The owner is such a sweetheart and always acts thrilled to have you there. I have truly NEVER had a bad experience. In summary, reasonably priced, delicious food, great service, and a great ambience make this place worth the drive. Pros: delicious food, excellent service, ambience Cons: none! more

Excellent Thai, reasonable prices, great ambience 3/24/2008

I've gone to Atlanta for work a few times and ""discovered"" this little gem. The staff are very courteous and seem to be sincere about making sure that the customer has a great experience. The food is always wonderful, but last week I included the Spicy Tuna on Cracker appetizer (not a saltine like it sounds). This is AWESOME!!! A very unique dish that is one of the best appetizers that I've ever had. I also had the Spicy Thai Noodle with Shrimp (extra charge for seafood), which was absolutely delicious. Pros: Food, Service, atmosphere Cons: My belly's wasn't big enough to fit everything more

a warm, wonderful place 2/19/2008

We are always delighted to enter this calm, warm environment and be greeted by name. We have had almost every item on the menu and have never been disappointed. The sushi is fresh and superbly presented. The Thai dishes are fresh and inviting, and spiced as we hope. Above all, it is wonderful to feel so appreciated by the owner and staff; the feeling is mutual. more

Best fusion Thai in Sandy Springs; Polite/attentive staff 2/6/2008

If you are looking for a fantastic Thai meal (with ambiance radiating through the teak panelled ceiling) this is the place for you. Offering both fusion and traditional dishes (including fresh sushi made to order), even the hardiest eater will appreciate the full menu options and offerings. Try the spicy tuna crackers to start off your meal:) Pros: Great menu options; attentive staff; intimate atmosphere more

Excellent experience 1/26/2008

I am an occasional visitor to Atlanta. However, after dining twice last week-end at Bangkok Thyme, I think I will make the drive more often. On Thursday evening shortly after arriving in Atlanta, my hosts and I went for a late supper since the restaurant is near their home. The service was excellent and the food, especially the duck, exceptional. As a chef, I am often stingy with praise, recognizing short-cuts, etc. I was so delighted with my meal that I delayed my departure on Monday to have lunch before leaving Atlanta. The chef is friendly, eager to please and attentive to every request for seasoning preferences. On the second visit we had the Cracker with Spicy Tuna. This may be the best Asian appetizer I've ever eaten. In fact, it was so good, we got an additional order to go for the ride home. Bravo, Bangkok Thyme. Pros: Exceptional duck and spicy tuna cracker more

Sushi is good 12/23/2007
