A Bunch of CROOKS 12/8/2011

I had a slightly different experience than most people posting. I took my dog to day care at the PetsMart PetsHotel and during play, she injured another dog by biting her ear and drawing blood. I want to say that The Petsmart staff acted exactly as they should and took the injured dog for evaluation at the vet. When I picked up my dog, I had a $376.07 vet bill waiting for me. Nice, huh? Apparently that's how much it costs to place 2 stitches on a superficial wound. The actual act of placing those two stitches cost me a whopping $54, and then i had to pay for the suture materials ($15), sterile instruments ($44) and even the gloves. Apparently they had to use an entire box of gloves for this procedure because the gloves alone cost me $5! When I went in to talk to them about the costs, because I didn't even get a receipt at the time I paid, the staff were rude and unhelpful. These people are a bunch of crooks who will take you for every penny they can! How can a superficial cut cost almost $400 dollars to treat? I will NEVER use this vet again, and I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau about this incident. I can't imagine how this place has any patients at all. For a great vet with reasonable prices in Denver, people should look to Planned Pethood Plus, they rock! more

Don't use this banfield 12/15/2010

Horrible experience, I brought in my dogs for their yearly vaccinations and the vet got side tracked w/ my dogs limp (I also brought her in for her limp.) and forgot to even give the vaccinations. \r \r Also, did not take enough xrays while she was sedated so we have to get them again.\r \r Manager was no help. We spent $1000 to have bad xrays and forgotten vaccinations. Manager said she would offer a free office visit for a better experience. will never go back- hope ot save you the trouble more

Office Manager inconsiderate 8/26/2008

The office manager could not offer any comfort or suggestions when I called for an appointment. Her phone kept ringing and she kept putting me on hold. I find this kind of treatment to be quite rude.\r If you don't have adaquate staff, then you shouldn't run a business.\r \r I made the appointment, but cancelled as another Petsmart store was able to see my dog immediately. I don't reccommend anyone take their pet there. more

If you care about your pet, don't take them here!!! 9/19/2007

Very cold and uncarring staff. I attempted to take my pet in for an exam which they said they would coupon off so that the first visit would be free. I guess this is the only way they can get you in the door. Upon arrival they told me what was wrong and stated I would need x-rays without even examining my pet! They stated it would be $160. (very expensive upon comparison with other vets) and failed to mention the additional charges which would have been atleast $100. I ended up taking my pet to another vet and found that he in did not need x-rays, just a physical exam as I suspected. So if you care about your pet I would recommend anywhere but here!!! Good Luck. more
