Best

I took my lab in because she was taking too long in labor. I thought they would induce her and send her home to me. They took great care of my dog. They changed towels after each ...

Worst

I would NOT EVER recommend this pet hospital, nor Dr Komareddy, to my worst enemy, and let me tell you why I would insist she remove herself as a physician in veterinary practice.\r \r My son's boxer was extremely ill, and I called from my work to get the dog in quickly to be examined. I had my other son take the dog up to the clinic about 330 in the afternoon. There were no other people waiting to get in, and they made my son wait about 40 min. with the dog lying on the floor. Finally they called them back, and made them wait another 30 min in the room before the Vet even came in. The dog had been sick about 2 days, was extremely dehydrated and ill. They did some lab, and my son begged them to put him on an IV and begin hydration. It was about 445 in the afternoon, and this Vet responded with "It's too late in the afternoon to treat your animal, because we close in a little while", which they advertise 7pm close on this day. My son was EXTREMELY upset, and decided to leave with the anim more

Jennifer from banfield 9/19/2012

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place . \r \r I took my puppy here for dehydrating because of a stomach virus. My dog has been throwing  up for  3 days with a diarrhea.  \r  I went to the clinic at 10 am that morning putting my dog in hands that I trusted. \r The clinic called me back at 3 pm telling me they ran a blood work him and said he has a virus.  When I told them he was severely dehydreded they have told me he wasn't dehydrated one bit.  ( anyone in their right mind would know that a dog that has been throwing up for 3 days and has had a diarrhea would be dehydrated. \r Yet that haven't given him any fluids. . \r When I asked Jennifer to give him fluid to hydrate him , she told me it was not  necessary .  I begged him to give him the fluids that he needed and she informed me that the clinic was going to close in two hours and that wouldn't provide him with them. When I asked how he was doing she told me he was not doing any better and that he was ready more

BANFIELD ADDISON IS SCAREY PLACE!!! 3/13/2012

Be very! VERY careful with Dr. K, she has killed an animal before and covered up the medical notes to get away with it. Crazy nurses and office manager/ director of nothing is a looney. There used to be a good manager named Jess I think and she was amazing! She was so intelligent and really kept that place working, when she left it was like watching a plane slowly crash. I am friends with a member of Banfield in the manager unit and let me tell you it is a morale battle for her to work their everyday. Having meetings and telling your staff higher charges per pet means better quality care... whatever! Quality care means not over working the staff, helping them, helping the doctors, HELPING THE CLIENTS!!! I once saw one of my poor friends "marketing report" OMG the numbers they wanted her to hit was a joke... it was like it was all they cared about. Good doctors are hard to come by but I personally take mine to a man named Dr. David Johnson at the West Plano location and only to him beca more

my experience 2/5/2011

I 100 percent disagree! Dr. Kommareddy is great. She is always very nice and having an accent does not mean you can not speak English. She speaks just fine and if you need her to explain something all you need to do is ask and she will gladly explain. The staff is always nice and helpful and i have never had any problems. People do not realize how much it takes to own a pet, they are expensive especially when they are sick and if people took good preventative care of their pets, then they would not get sick as much and would cost lest overall. more

Banfield's are out of control 1/15/2011

This hospital is dangerous... Dr. Kommareddy is a liar and is inable to have a discussion with because she cannot speak english well. It is so irritating that they move around their team members and there are new people are always messing up your pets records. I adored their previous manager Jennifer or something because she cared and then she left ( prob because she was misrable ) and then it went to even more hell.... This corporate atmosphere makes me sick and their morales are not in the right spot... DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE... THEY SPEAK MONEY, NOT MEDICINE. more

Very Disappointed and Addison Bansfield is highly disorganized 7/10/2009

I have gone at addison hospital couple of times. I was not trusting when I was reading other bad reviews. I had almost same experience. There receptionist is not good with my little pup. She did not smile to me, did not say hi to pup and too long of a wait. That is ok. But Dr. Bell ended up giving the wrong vaccines to little 12 weeks pup! and when I found that (they did not found or mentioned) they did not apologize at all. On the top she said "Oh...that is ok it would not hurt her!!!" common.....are you out of your mind. I hate this place.. Ya they save you some money but you may end up hurting your pet. more

BANFIELD IN ADDISON, TX IS A JOKE 7/29/2008

We took our dogs to the Banfield here in Addison. The new doctor there, Gale Thompson, seems as if she is on drugs. I am 100% serious. She made me feel as if she had NO expertise in the field...I could have probably done a better job myself. If you are looking for a comforting, highly reliable, trustworthy place...this is not the answer. We walked in and the assistants kept getting one dogs needs mixed up with our other dog. She almost gave a rabies shot to our dog who just had one recently after I repeatedly said he doesn't need this shot, our other dog does. Medications of any kind, to me as a pet owner, are a serious thing and I was appalled that they might give one of our dogs the wrong medication. Another thing that really bothered me was the fact that they just weren't comforting. I expect to walk into a new vet (it was our first time obviously) to a doctor who is excited and loving to pets and this doc didn't really even seem interested, much less act as if she knew what the hec more

VERY DISAPPOINTED! 5/30/2008

I took my dog in to have a skin growth evaluated a few weeks ago. I stood at the front desk 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged that I was there. We were taken to an exam room and the tech did not interact with my dog at all. She came up behind her, grabbed her leg, and stuck a needle in her vein to draw blood. Then she told me the doctor would be in to see my dog in 5 minutes. 25 minutes later the doctor finally comes in. Even the doctor didn't interact with my dog to make her feel more at ease. My dog is very sociable and loving and is not accustomed to being treated the way she was in that clinic. My dog was upset the rest of the day. I went ahead and scheduled surgery to remove the growth in 2 weeks. The clinic refused to give me an estimate of the cost until I brought her in the day of the surgery. The last straw was when the clinic called the day before and said they would have to reschedule the surgery. I canceled the surgery and took my dog to her prior vet. It was then that more

Dr. Mendi Hill is awesome! 3/9/2008

I took my lab in because she was taking too long in labor. I thought they would induce her and send her home to me. They took great care of my dog. They changed towels after each pup was born. Each dog was measured, weighed, and cleaned up. She gave my dog food at no extra cost. They allowed me to stay there from open to close until my dog was done delivering her 11 puppies! I would reccommend her to everyone! more

Dr. Mendi Hill 2/1/2008

I own 2 cats and 2 dogs. I have always had outstanding service from the Addison Banfield. Dr. Hill has always shown a geniune concern for animals. Dr. Hill does not try to run up bills by giving unneed tests. I have total confidence in this clinic. more

Very Happy With Banfield 4/30/2007

I have been taking my doggies to Banfield for over 2 years now. So far, we have signed up 4 puppies for their wellness plans because it was always more economical for us. I called around to other vets and they charge an average of $60.00 for your first visit. This doesn't include worming, potential medications, or anything. With Banfield, we only paid $99 up front and $20.00 per month after that. We are able to take our doggies in to them anytime without paying an office visit fee and the plan covers shots, worming, SPAY/NEUTER, rabies and fecal exams. They also print up a nice detailed sheet for you when you leave so you can see what they did, how much they normally charge, and how much you saved. This way, it's very easy to make a nice, neat folder of your pet's records.\r \r I do not know if their initial savings is inflated as the man said in another review, but I am positive we have saved over $4,000 thanks to the Banfield plan. Also, they give a little bit of a discount fo more

Steer Clear of Banfield 4/3/2007

Do yourself and your pet a favor, DO NOT bring them to this McVet.\r I made the mistake of bringing my dog to Banfield, inside the Petsmart, Addison TX. They are extremely deceptive, and only care about signing people up to one of their wellness plans.\r In order to do so, they will lie about the money you will save.\r It's like dealing with a used car lot, instead of a vet - truly disgusting.\r I was initially given a quote, which showed the non member price versus the member price for getting my dog examined, given vaccinations and checked for heartworm.\r The non member column included a series of items which added up to over $450, whereas the member column only came to around $140 with most items being waived. I was foolish enough to sign up without examining in detail every single item on the list.\r I later discovered that the non member column also had the one time membership fee and first months fee added to it !!\r This had the effect of inflating the non-member price by around $100, more
