Highly Recommend Microderm and Facial at Assara (see below) 7/22/2009

If you have melasmas caused by birth control pills like I do, you will absolutely want to try microdermabrasion at Assara. Melasma is a skin discoloration caused by pregnancy or oral contraceptives? If you recently got light brown or dark spots on your face, that?s what it is! I just got it and rushed to Assara for laser facial and microdermabrasion. The technician was really knowledgeable about it and told me I should come in 2 times a month and it should be gone within six months. She also told me to avoid the sun, wear hats and buy spf 50 sunscreen for my face? Wow, thank goodness I went to Assara? more

A+++ 7/22/2009

Since I was a teenager I?ve had trouble with ingrown hairs. I?m happy to report that lasering has solved my lifelong problem. I used to spend hours plucking and poking away at every ingrown on my body, and thanks to lasering at Assara my skin is smooth and red dot (ingrown!) free. I?m really not an expert on lasers and how they work, but seems like they really eliminate the hair from the tiny little follicle which is inside the skin, so ingrowns have no chance. The people at Assara were really helpful with tips and techniques that can help my skin be as nice as possible. A+ Assara! more

I have a tanning tip that I got from the girl doing my laser at Assara. She said it?s better not to be tanned when you do laser, but that Assara has a laser especially made for people with tanned skin (I think she called it the YAG laser setting). I?m doing my legs right now at Assara and I find that they are very good. The service is great and they always follow up to make sure you?re ok with what?s being done. I would recommend Assara. more

Unlimited Package 7/14/2009

They have a really good package at Assara for unlimited hair removal. I think it?s $449 a month and you can laser as much as you want. I signed up for it 6 months ago and now I have almost NO HAIR growing where I used to spend so much time and money shaving and waxing. This is a good solution. I would recommend Assara, and check out the unlimited package, it?s cheaper in the ling run than doing each area individually? more

Do your homework and research before you sign up for laser hair removal. I checked out about 4 places before I started my treatments at Assara. The place is clean and very businesslike and they know what they?re doing. You can get burned (literally!) at other places, so I suggest Assara for people who want serious and efficient hair removal. more

I would recommend Assara for laser hair removal. Though Manhattan has almost as many laser hair removal places as it does hotels, this is the best one I?ve found. They keep it simple and the prices are good. more

Farewell to Facial Hair ! 7/13/2009

My female friend (who shall remain nameless!) had some shadow on her upper lip so I had to tell her that she had to remove it! Come on, a pretty girl with moustache hair? No, no no. She was all like ?oh I gotta go get a wax!? and I was like ?NO! Girl you gotta got lasered at Assara!? I removed my moustache last winter and I was never happier with results. My friends tell me I?m obcessed with hair removal. I don?t know about that, but I can tell you that I do love my hairless body. No more shaving, waxing or electrolysis, all it took was a few visits to Assara and my hair just doesn?t grow anymore? It?s a miracle. I may have been obcessed with hair removal, but now I have no hair that grows below my neck? What to obcess over now??? LOL more

I recommend Assara for people who want to laser. I?ve been doing laser hair removal sessions my legs and under arms and I?m quite happy with the service. I understand that they also offer laser facials and spider vein removal. I have some small spider veins on my legs, but I'm not so sure I'm going to spend to have those removed. The laser facial, however, I'm very excited about. Liz gave me a sample session, and I've really seen the difference! The place is clean and efficient and the laser girls know their stuff. Good For Guys 7/12/2009

As a guy it?s not easy to go to spas to get waxed. I find it embarrassing to sit in those pink waiting rooms with all those prissy girls. And the esteticians always seemed to give me the stink eye. I?m not like a super metrosexual, but I do like to have my shoulders and between eyebrows hair free. Assara is a permanent alternative to hair removal, and it?s not a girls-only thing. I spend a lot of time at the gym and I work hard to get the buff body I have. So I thought, ?why leave it covered in hair?? I made a consultation appointment at Assara and I decided to go for the chest and back laser hair removal. I?ve only been twice but I?m totally into it. It?s so good to be smooth. When your skin is all soft and hairless you can really see the muscles I?ve worked so hard to get. Permanent hair removal isn?t only for women, men! You needa get on this! more

Superb! 7/12/2009

Last summer I got bad sunspots my friend suggested I get laser facials and microdermabrasion to even out my skin tone. I did it a couple times at Assara and I?m really happy with the results. My skin is soft and smooth and I don?t have to hide behind layers of concealer and makeup. Removing Unwanted Hair Is A Great Investment In Yourself 7/9/2009

I?m so nauseous when I see hairy men in Central Park. Why haven?t they gone to Assara like I made my boyfriend? No one wants to see their hairy backs and shoulders (and fingers!) I sent my boyfriend to do a couple areas on his body and although he hesitated at first, he?s totally into it now. I was burned at another lasering center in Manhattan last summer. I won?t name names, because I may have a suit pending, but I have to say, as someone who?s been burned by crummy lasering, you owe it to yourself to try Assara. They really listen to their clients, they analyse your skin colour and make sure they?re using the right laser to get the best results. I?m almost done my treatments at Assara and I?m very satisfied. My Confidence in Quality Laser Centers is Restored Again 7/8/2009

I had a bad experience lasering at another center in Long Island so I was really hesitant to try laser hair removal again. My friend Sophie told me that she was going to Assara and that they have an unlimited program that you can do any and all body party you want for a set monthly price, I was really happy! The monthly price just went down, I think, so call to check what the rate is today. Assara is quality service and you can trust them. I've never heard of a better package price for full body treatments. Angela was my technician there, and I'd highly recommend that you request her if you call for a consultation or a treatment. more
