Wow? I just came back from my first laser facial at this place. Seriously, I have to say it was one of the coolest sensations I?ve had in a while. The facial was a gift so I don?t know how much it costed, but my skin looks amazing! The technician was really nice and she explained what it would feel like and what I could expect in the following days. spider vein removal 8/17/2009

I recently had a baby boy! Shortly after my pregnancy, however, I noticed new spider veins that started to climb and spread out around the back of my knees to my upper thighs. For me this was terrible because being pregnant was such a beautiful experience for me, but returning to normal size, weight and looks was also very important. I was reassured by all, including my dermatologist, that thew new spider veins might be temporary and disappear after childbirth. When that wasn't the case. I came to Assara to have a consultation on whether these spider veins could be removed. There, Will explained to me how spider veins are caused, and how a laser treatment could remove them. I scheduled a consult for myself. When I arrived, Angela welcomed me with a smile and the treatment I received was great! Interested in lasering? 8/17/2009

Ever since I was a kid, and even now as an adult, I've eagerly anticipated the summer months. When I turned twenty-one, I started to approach the summer with a little anxiety. As I grew older, body hair that had suddenly begun to spring up on my body. It sometimes felt like I was wearing a winter coat. I was always to hot and sweaty. I went straight to my computer and googled "laser hair removal in NYC." The name that kept coming up was Assara Laser. The service was great and the staff were very professional. Today I am a lot cooler and not just because of the way I walk or what I wear. I no longer have hair on my arms, legs, back, chest and neck and things are way more chilled. What I like about Assara is that they do things like a doctors office (I think they might even share the big clinic space with a doctor) everything is surgically clean and the laser techs wear lab coats and have clean hands. I saw this very modern looking laser place in Soho, some kind of Asian lasering they said. I am signed up at Assara but I went in anyway to check out the prices. WOW! I can?t believe how much more expensive they are! Assara is really the cheapest option. And it?s not only the price, which is good. The service is professional and they are very courteous. Effective lasering- only solution 8/12/2009

I?m sitting here watching Rachael Ray and they?re doing a segment on women?s facial hair. They gave these 3 women all these crazy looking shavers and waxer and gadgets to remove the hair. 5.99$ for a facial buffer? Please. I had a little upper lip hair and some longer-than-I-would like sideburns and I decided to put an end to it by lasering it off as Assara. That?s the best way to remove facial hair girls! laser facial and microdermabrasion 8/12/2009

Since I?ve been on birth control I notices some dark spots on my face, I went o the dermatologist and he told me it?s caused by the pill. The spots get worse with exposure to the sun? So I bought some big floppy hats and figured that was al I could do and I had to live with the spots. Then I saw an ad for Assara and read how they can remove dark spots. I went in for 2 treatments and I have to say that the spots are so much lighter. My husband tells me that he can?t even see the spots anymore. I compared with a before picture and it?s true. The laser removed 90% of the dark spots. I recommend doing laser facial and microdermabrasion to really get the best results. Pros: great looking skin more

I went to Assara for laser treatment of my back hair. I am a 45-year-old man with a new younger girlfriend? So you can imagine the demands. She wanted me to have smooth shoulders. Horrible!!!! 8/9/2009

I too thought this place was going to be great and ignored the bad reviews. First off I was pretty much ignored when I first got there. Then the woman told me about the laser hair removal procedure (got some of the info wrong). I asked her to do a test patch, which she did. But when I told her I had had enough and to stop she kept going and said "I have to finish the test patch area". Seriously! I told her to stop and she didn't. It was also very painful because she did not use the cooling aspect of the laser properly. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Pros: Cheap Cons: Rude, Ignores your wishes, Isn't fully knowledgeable, etc. more

I?m writing to review my experience at Assara Laser. I don?t usually write reviews, but I had a good service so I wanted to spread the word. I am lasering my underarms and legs from my ankles to my knees and it?s amazing. Even after a single session, the hair actually does not grow back for a long time and, now that I've had 4 sessions, there is virtually no more hair growing at all! It?s quite amazing actually. I was so happy to learn that it?s safe and effective? What a waste if you?re still waxing or shaving! I liked Assara and I?m thinking about going in for my upper lip next month? Thanks! I read on some other sites that getting buirned is part and parcel with lasering. I have to respectuffly disagree. I have been doing my whole body at Assara for almost 6 months and I was NEVER burned even once. If you?re getting burned you?re going to a crappy place. My wife always said she didn?t care about my hairy back, nipples and shoulders, but the truth is that it bothered ME! I went to Assara for a consultation because I really didn?t know if lasering was for me, a man?s man. Thought I did want the hair gone I didn?t want to have to skulk into some girly spa and sit in a waiting room filled with s3x and the city girls staring me down. So, I went to Assara which has a discreet clean quality to it. They don?t mess around; their laser people get right down to business. I was in and out in 30 minutes and the hair was completely GONE! I?m going in for my second treatment in a month, and I?m totally psyched. I?m pale with dark hair so I was told that I?m a perfect candidate for laser hair removal. I went for a consultation at Assara and they confirmed this during their skin care analysis. So I?m 3 months into a laser treatment for removing hair from my legs and underarms and I?m very happy with the service. I find that after lasering my skin is soft and totally hair free.
