John was working a trade show for computers where we met him. At his shop, he was able to provide what we were looking for quickly at a much better price than others we had asked. His work was well done and provided exactly what he said that he would do. He was easily available by telephone and at his shop. In general, we are quite please w/ his work. Well, It has been sometime now since we have last heard from JOHN and his wife, The owner / technician of Astech Computers. We purchased a website, and paid in full for development, services, and hosting. After 11 months and NO activity except ONE image added to the site, in which was totally incorrect information( ie. name, address, number), we sought a more, professional, business related company. We have since then contact JOHN and his Wife; To see about forwarding our domain name so the new company can host/provide service to our site. John has since then only supplied an FTP Login, which hasent been for our working directory, nor has the ability to be updated. The new company has also tried to contact John and his wife several times in which they still will not reply, answer, or deem themselves responcible for my service/domain/hosting that we have already PAID for in FULL. Mrblvdsigns is our site, and the work related there is partial work that JOHN had updated to the working directory for the hosting / site developer/provider we are now working with. John and his wife and as far as I am concerned the entity "" Astech Computers "" is nothing but a scam, computer recycling, web design/hosting, hardware repair, software migation, They know nothing of what they advertise. We just want what we paid for, and since this isnt going to be provided by them, We'd like them to ATLEAST forward our domain name that we already PAID for, to someone more suitable and capable of doing this work. We will take the loss just to have the peace of mind of being finished, and no longer associated and affilaited with this company. New customers please steer clear, you have been warned. These people are terrible!! We brought in several towers and laptops for their ""charitable"" contributions and in return we needed some repair work done on 2 of our laptops. What we received from them was laptops that still did not work. In fact they parted out our laptops! My husbands laptops had 2 gigs of RAM when we brought it in and when we picked it up it had 1 gig of crappy RAM. A power button was removed and hot glued back on and several other items were taken from my daughters laptop. These people are hacks and refuse to take accountability for their actions. I am in the process of taking them to small claims court for the damages that they caused to our systems. Cons: They part out peoples computers! more
