We came across Arthur Gluck, and Michael, its fine craftsman third hand--starting with a former governor, passing through a senate president and then to us. And my husband has been looking good in the neighborhood ever since. My husband is hard on shirts--cigar burns, grease stains and sweat. The fabric on the half a dozen shirts we have commissioned looks as new today as it did the day of arrival--perfectly pressed, and meticulously wrapped in tissue paper, ready to wear. Without being asked, he took the tail off one shirt from Boyds of Philadelphia that was sent for measurement purposes only and fixed the hole in the pocket. (Who'd a thunk THAT?) Better two of his shirts than 10 from Macy's I say. And if you need custom because your measurements require it, look no further. MS, I just got your message about this citysearch site and I felt that I should also say a couple of things too. \r \r Besides having my shirts and pajamas made by Arthur Gluck Shirts, I also use their in-house laundering of my finest shirts and have always found that it was very difficult not to feel like my shirts felt and looked virtually brand new again. The ""Sea Island Cottons"" are still silky to the touch everytime I get them back from you.\r \r As I am always cooking or performing publicly and besides my television appearances and the taping of my shows I need to look my best always.\r \r Grease stains! Never a problem! Even fountain pen ink was removed from my whitest of whites. I have even brought other items (not only shirts) to be washed and pampered by the folks at Arthur Gluck when all else failed. \r \r Michael makes me feel very relaxed and comfortable... Mike, while I have always told everyone how nice you are, now I can put my words to paper for all to see!\r \r I have known Michael Spitzer for nearly two decades and have only spectacular things to say about him and his custom made shirts. His personal touch and dedication to detail is unparalleled. He is very professional and takes his role as my personal clothier to the extreme. He always has a smile and puts my needs ahead of his own and always makes me feel like I?m his only customer and keeping me happy is the most important thing to him. He has also helped me make some great fashion decisions and is usually ahead of the curve with an eye for what is best on my body and suits my build and complexion. His prices have always been fair and he offers different types of customized tailoring that I have only seen on Downing Street. \r \r The quality of the materials and fabrics available are wonderful. I have shirts that still wear excellently many years after purchasing them.
