Brought my Santa Fe for a service campaign recall and oil change, but also pointed out a large crack in the driver's seat leather bolster. My service advisor apologetically stated he could not do anything about it since it was out of warranty. My SF is always garaged, and some days never even leaves the garage. I wash it weekly, condition the leather and there are no kids in the car ever. In reading through numerous Hyundai forums, these types of cracks appear to be a known issue with driver's seats, yet Hyundai won't own up to the problem. It's enough to send me to another car manufacturer for my next vehicle this fall...it's a shame. This was my second Santa Fe and I was ready to purchase a third one this Fall. I now, in good consciousness, can't put money back into Hyundai's pocket when they won't stand behind a known defect.
