I can't say enough about the great food at Apsara. Always good. Always fast. The food is made with fresh ingredients and is consistent, which can be tough to find.

Busy but worth the wait! 5/25/2008

We've been going to Apsara since we moved to Providence. On weekend nights especially it can be a wait, but it's definitely worth it.\r The food is always delicious, and though there is no liquor license, you can bring your own.\r I love the stir fried Cantonese noodle and the Bee Bong in particular.\r Beware of the other restaurant called Apsara that's on the East Side, though. It's not actually associated with this one and not NEARLY as good! Pros: Great food Cons: Limited parking more

First i would just like to say its on Pulic st not on Hope St (they are different) and personally i think public st is better not very goodlooking or in the coolest neighborhood but AWESOME food at an AWESOME price they really do prob have THE BEST nim chow ever its just really good and i would also deff recommend the bebong woo. hoo. so tasty. It is also a little difficult to get to because depending on where your comming from there might not be a street sign but its sorta in a fork in the road so you can see it. its not in a trendy spot and as said before they're not that concerned with looking hip inside but, hey. maybe they just used that extra time on making the food outstanding and at a really afordable price and totally BYOB they really make it tuff to resist going there. check it out! Good asian food in keeping to the asian style of cooking, keeps me from going thru Asian food withdrawal 7/12/2006

Good food. Just moved from CA to RI and had to resort to travelling to Boston for my Asian food fix. Apsara keeps to asian style cooking with foods not too salty, sweet, sour, etc. Everything in moderation. Good job guys. I obtained a take out menu and I'm now dating all the items I've eaten. Hopefully, I'll have the menu filled up in no time. FYI: Waiter informed me that the owner is present in Friday and will try to cook/prepare whatever you want even if its off the menu. Pros: Food is good and worth it. Even if it was more $$$, I'd still go. Cons: Difficult to find more

I am Cambodian and Apsara Restaurant is one of the most authentic restaurant I've ever been too. Great food, great environment, great prices. I live in San Antonio now and wish I can go back for there thai ice tea. Pros: Great Price, Great Food Cons: Hard to find Parking, Busy Street more

Apsara is an awsome place to try new types of food. The menu varies from Asian, Vietnamese, Thai, or Chinese cuisine all at more than reasonable prices. As if that is not enough, you bring your own alcohol as an added savings. If the owner is there he will come out and put something different on the table for you to try. Fantastic and unique set up, don't change a thing. Pros: inexpensive, variety, relaxed dining Cons: could be a wait, limited seating more

I will drive 4+ hours for this! 10/18/2002

This place has, hands down, the BEST nim chow in the world, and, believe me, I have tried to find suitable comparisons all over the world. The low prices, friendly service and HUGE menu are all part of the great Apsara experience. They did a wonderful job on their hai keng and the fish stew was bright with the flavor of lemongrass (which overwhelmed my husband's palate, unfortunately). I hope this place stays great forever. I am willing to drive over four hours several times a year just to eat here. more

Great for Groups! 10/12/2002

This is the place to go when you have a group of people and you don't want to spend too much money. It is BYOB so you don't spend money on drinks...and you can eat family style so everyone can have a little of everything. There is a wide selection of dishes, which are actually just the same ingredients made in different ways (seafood, eggplant, chicken, pork, shrimp are the main ingredients). Since the dishes are all $6-$10 each, in the end, each person only pays around $8...great deal! more

Apsara has Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian, and Chinese food, at very reasonable prices! The Nime Chow is the best around and the basil chicken is to die for. Stop by with a few friends and order up some dishes and share and enjoy. Pros: inexpensive, parking more

Offers a great selection of Asian foods. Restaurant is often filled with ""natives"", so you know it must be good stuff! They also hold the Nime Chow challenge here, so you know they got something good going on. Pros: Value, Cheap, Fresh Cons: Crowded more

While this is not the place you come for ambiance, this is the best place for asian food in Providence. I am usually wary of restaurants that try and combine different asian cuisines into one place (they often end up doing none of them very well), but Apsara does a great job with them all. BYOB makes the dining experience all the more affordable and fun for big groups. Pros: Great food, Inexpensive, BYOB Cons: Crowded at peak times, Hard parking, Not great ambiance more
