Mr Al came out Christmas Eve and replaced ancient pump to get heat up in our house it was 19 degrees. We deeply appreciate his service and his prompt response.

Saved Us! 12/12/2011

My heater had broke down on me about a week ago, and nothing is worse that coming home to a cold house during the winter. Al's Heating and Air really saved us. We called them, and they came right out and solved our problem. Now the heat is back up and running, and I couldn't be any more happy! Thanks. more

I wish I could go back in time and never called his company. I will sue Al and make sure that he will lose his license !!!!!! He took money upfront for converting my heating system from oil to gas and he NEVER came back !!!!!!! I lost $2,000 in cash. He never applied for any permits with the city which I checked by calling 311. STAY AWAY FROM AL !!!!! My Christmas is ruined !!!!!!!!!!!! more

Liar, thief, criminal should be locked up in prison !!!! 11/12/2011

Hello everyone , this man is a criminal who should be locked up. He took money from my wife to exchange a water heater that started leaking water. He said that he needed $1,200 to buy a water heater and he would return in an hour. HE NEVER CAME BACK !!!!! He didn't answer his phone. I had to call another person to do the same job. I was at work when this stealer took the money. I will sue and report him to everyone. When i called the Court to find out how to sue they told me to go to CitySearch to see the impact of this man. They said that since the heating season started Al has been scamming people left and right. Lawsuits against his company are rising BY THE WEEK. KEEP AWAY FROM THIS CRIMINAL !!!!! more

GREAT! 11/11/2011

I called Al as a referral from someone who has been using him for years and was pleasantly surprised for a few different reasons. First one is, after being given his number, I looked him up online and seen all these negative reviews. Naturally, I asked my friend about it, since she has used him for so long, and she said she has never had any issue even close to the ones claimed here, and that they have always been nothing but nice to her. It really bothered and confused me so I did a little digging on to see that these are majority, if not all, coming from the same person attempting to harm this business. The only reviews ""they"" have left are on this page and another Al's Heating page. With that being said, I DID call and use Al's and I am happy to say they are GREAT. From start to finish, they proved these so called reviews completely wrong. It really is sad the attempts made out of hate. They must be the ugliest person in the world [personality wise]. They failed since Al's have so much GOOD business, the fake bad business didn't effect them at all. more

Worst experience of my life. 11/9/2011

My boiler started leaking 2 weeks ago. My son called Al's heating and air after finding their number in the local phone book. Al came and after 3 hours and started immediately bribing me after seeing the extent of the water damage to the basement. Telling me that the whole house might collapse and he will fix it for $1,800 but all in cash because he needed money for bills. Last week steam started leaking again and I called Al but he didn't answer all day. My neighbor called his plumber who came and fixed the leak saying that the ""joint"" was just replaced and not tightened. Al that swindling crook charged me $1800 for changing a metal piece which my neighbor said cost's $15 even with labor should've cost around $200 maximum. No wonder Al never answered. I just couldn't believe all the people that are complaining on this board. Stealing people's money and disappearing how shameful. My son is an attorney and i will speak to him about Al. more

Had an emergency & called Al. He responded quickly& professionally - he wasn't available but sent one of his associates who obviously had the same work ethic & talent.He did a great job & had very reasonable pricing. Recommended them to a friend & he called as well. more

I can't believe my eyes !! So many people have been victimized by this swindler and nothing is being done. Al does the same thing to everyone : Demands deposit and never shows up. I lost $1,700 on the 20th of October. No wonder his van was brand new. Guess crime does pay. One of the reviews listed a phone number for the Queens County Court and I called and I was informed that I'm # 16 in the list of people suing Al's business. The man has no morals, no guilty conscious. I should've checked before calling Al. more

The people in charge communicate very well. There was a confusing part of my heating repair that they handled very nicely, and kept me informed on daily. I appreciated having all my questions answered and calls returned. more

Very friendly customer service 11/2/2011

It's just starting to get cold and as my luck would have it, something was wrong with my heat! It wasn't heating to the chosen temp so I called Al's and they came out super quick. They fixed the problem and that night, I had heat. Very friendly customer service on the phone and from the tech that came out to my home. more

This is a very great company. I had my AC blowout during the summer and these guys came out, and got it back up and running again. The service was great, and the guys were really friendly. I definitely know who to call if this ever happens again. more

A Bullshitter and Scammer 10/8/2011

Al came in for my heat and I paid him half first. But we literally met for only 15 mins and for 10 mins he kept on talking about money like how much he needed and that he wanted the rest as soon as possible. Since the other half wasn't paid yet, I noticed he was extremely friendly and eager to work. Two of his workers came, one seemed somewhat experienced and the other was literally a kid who didn't have a clue on what to do. After the work was done, Al came right away to pick up the other half and also said that he would give me ""good price"" for my air conditioning so I gave him some money up front. Several days later, I didn't receive one phone call from him. I called him and each time he would tell me that he will call later and never did. I had enough so I called him and demanded my money back, he hung up on me 4 times and said I was rude and that a customer always has to wait. After that he wouldn't pick up my call so I left a voicemail saying that I will call the cops and file a complaint. Of course this got to him so he called back and said he will do the job. I said no and demanded my money. Through all the unnecessary trouble, thankfully I got my money back. Do not trust Al, he seriously is money hungry and has the worst customer service. It's horrifying that customers are paying him for his lies. more

EXTREMELY IGNORANT AND DOESN'T KNOW THE LAW 10/8/2011

He trespassed my house to ""check"" what needed to be worked in my backyard literally at 9pm one night and never called/informed me that he would be coming. I told him that he cannot be trespassing in the middle of the night and all he said was that he was planning on knocking on the door after he snooped around. Seriously? You're telling me you run a business in the US and don't know the procedure to call your customer first and then check...?? He gave me an estimate and the price seemed highly questionable so I did more research and called other places and found out that Al was charging $400 more! I told him I won't be needing his service anymore and his exact words were, ""Don't be hiring someone with no license and an immigrant because I know you will"". Wow, another ignorant man that makes this society even worse. Thank god I didn't hire him. more

Honest 10/3/2011

Had a problem with my wall heater and Al came out, on time, and after checking everything out he realized the thermostat was the problem and the heater was fine. He cleaned it and suddenly it worked! Sometimes wires get dirty and so forth. He showed me how to check the thermostat, put everything back together (5 minutes) and called it good. Didn't even charge me for driving out there. Now that IS AN HONEST BUSINESSMAN! More concerned with being fair and earning a lifelong client than charging me for my own stupidity. more

Breath of fresh air 9/30/2011

Al's Heating is a breath of fresh air. They came out with-in one hour of my call and had me up and running an hour after that. Friendly and fast. The price was very reasonable as well. I am giving 5 stars because he gave me an exact time he would show up. Not a 4 hour window. He showed up on time and had my heat running fast. He didn't try to take advantage of the freezing weather we had in the summer no less....... more

We had some vent and duct work done in our home. Called Al's and they came out within 48 hours and told us exactly what to expect and how long the work would take. They got it done in the estimated time frame and now things just feel fresh. more

Best Service EVER! 9/9/2011

Excellent customer service, thorough, on time, and their business practices are beyond exceptional! We had a problem with our circuit board transformer that had burnt out. I had read the reviews on Al's Heating Services and another heating company and my husband called this other company first and obviously they did NOT want business because they were rude and hung up on us! Al's Heating has EXCELLENT and PROFESSIONAL service! My husband left a message and they returned the call that same day, scheduled an afternoon appointment the same day, than even had the parts needed to do the job! They also took the time to check everything else relating to the heating including our thermostat! Obviously, they are doing everything right in running a business and will definitely send referrals to them! Thanks for the great job! Keep up the good work! more

We used Al's Heating Service to replace an old furnace for a new high efficiency unit. Al listened as we stated our needs and concerns, and provided excellent advice on available options. Installation went well, and it passed the city inspection with flying colors. more
