I found good reviews about Alan on Yelp and Yahoo so we decided to hire him for a small job in our master bathroom. He was easily approachable, available for work and really nice to work with. His labor charges are reasonable too. We decided to call him again to replace the wooden planks on our patio and he did good job there as well. Overall I am happy with my experience with his work and plan to hire him for future home improvement project. I am glad to inform that he does small work for cars as well though I have not tried it myself. One good practise would be writing out the work-to-do and parts and labor charges for the same as this guy is pretty busy. more

I was extremely impressed by A to Z Handyman. I found Alan via Yelp, and i also screened 3 other handyman companies to get assistance with major kitchen repairs. These are the reasons why I chose Alan: 1. Punctual and responsive: He replied to my phone call right away and made arrangements to see my kitchen project the same day. He stayed on schedule and worked with my work schedule. Whenever I had a concern, he was just a phone call away. 2. Professional: Alan understood the scope of the project and what it would require to fix it right away. He is great at communicating and was very transparent in how long it will take to fix it. He has a good eye for detail. When I would overlook that my granite countertops seams weren't lining up, he would spend additional time to make sure it looked level and perfect. I am glad that he is meticulous and proud of his work. 3. Fair: Okay, so I'm REALLY broke. I really didn't have the money to do any home repairs since I just forked over my savings to the closing costs on my home, but I couldn't live without a functioning kitchen. Alan was very considerate of my budget, and we came to a mutual agreement on the cost of the work. His bid was the MOST FAIR out of all the bids, and the quality of work is well worth it. He gave me a really good deal, and his main intention was to build a strong working relationship for future projects. I didn't mind helping Alan lift things here and there since he is a one-man operation. This actually helped me save on costs of hiring a second person, and it taught me about home repairs in the process. 4. Hilarious: This guy has a great sense of humor, and it's really easy to work with him. Although this might not be super-important, it does help in making the project go by faster and it makes the experience more pleasant. I plan to hire Alan for future projects. One added benefit of working with him is that he believes in building long-term relationships with his clients. Will definitely hire him again! more

On time & professional for a reasonable fee more

Good: Alan was professional, courteous, timely and honest.. Bad: There was nothing to dislike about Alan.. Other: I needed a handyman to repair a leak and mold growing under a cabinet that I had recently discovered and Alan fixed the leaky pipe and got rid of all the mold, stains and smell for me. Our house is relatively new and I did not want the stain and smell around. He also installed weather stripping for the garage door, fixed a heavy, leaning front door, and a hard to open sliding glass door. Alan also determined the source of electrical problems for us and all of his work was timely and reasonably priced.. more
