Reed Wrisley is AWESOME!!! Me and my girlfriend were looking for an apartment for over 3 months! No broker or agency we went to ever went the extra mile like Reed did. Everyone always showed us exactly what we didn't want in the areas we specifically said we didn't want to live in. We were very frustrated and were losing hope as the process became so exhausting and even depressing. That was until Reed came along, he immediately showed us 2 apartments where we wanted at the price ranges we wanted and had our dream space in no time! We've been happily living at our new location for about 2 months now! If you are looking to move, Reed at Apuzzi Realty is for sure the man to talk to. I recently signed a lease for a new apartment that I got through Apuzzi Realty with Reed, Mike and Steve. However, before working with these guys, I was very close to getting another apartment, but didn't because the broker from this other company was terrible. He wasn't helpful and was simply cold and insulting. In the end, I lost the apartment because the communication was terrible. At this point, I was really disappointed--the place I lost out on was great and in a really nice location. However, the next day I saw the apartment I just signed for. This one is also great and in an awesome location, and so I really wanted it but was afraid I'd lose it like I just lost the other one. The guys from Apuzzi Realty were awesome. I worked closely with Reed and Mike, and they were so great--very helpful and knowledgable about everything. I had tons of questions to ask them, and every text was returned quickly. Reed even met me halfway when we met in person to exchange documents. The guy from the other company would never have done something like this. Reed and Mike treated me with respect and worked hard to make this happen, and I am so appreciative of that. I would recommend Apuzzi Realty to anyone--Reed and Mike made me forget all about my previous experience. These guys are awesome! more

We used Steven Apuzzi's company to help find a spacious, affordable, rent-stabilized apartment in our ideal neighborhood in Manhattan. We worked with Reed the whole time. Reed helped my friend find an apartment, and my friend mentioned I was also looking and gave him my price range. When a place opened up, Reed called me and showed it to me that day. I put in an application later that afternoon and was approved the following day! The process was incredibly straight forward and easy. Just moved in on Wednesday and the place is great, clean and in good condition - and very reasonably priced for a one bedroom. I haven't posted on Citysearch before because I don't generally review, but this experience was great. more

Don't believe all the 5 stars, they are fake. I had one question about the apartment, does the landlord provide proper heat? He and his realty guy swore they knew the owner and it was a family guy and he was great. A month later when winter came I had no heat. The heat came up once every three hours for 5 minutes, not enough for a one bedroom apartment. I called once, and some guy remotely over the Internet turned the boiler on. The next day there was no heat again, and now the landlord wouldn't return calls. I stayed for a year since I had a lease and then left. A neighbor next to me wanted to start a tenant association because they said it was a corporation that ran the building and was getting worse and worse. Called Steven Apuzzi several times and NEVER got a call back. After he has your cash you are on your own! more

Reed for Steven Apuzzi was very helpful in finding me an awesome deal in the Heights. Reed was very accomodating, polite, and willing to answer all questions. All the crazy Craigslist brokers out there should learn from him! more

The worst!!! Let me start by saying the 5 star reviews are fake. I'm a real person. I've been putting off rating this place because I didn't want any bad karma on my part, but here it goes! I called Max about an apartment in Flatbush about a month earlier and he asked me to check back with him periodically for new ones. When I called him back, he told me he had a great apartment, 2 bedroom in Flatbush and that I would definitely like it. When I met him to view the apartment, I did love it and filled out an application and handed over my money order for the application fee. I remember him telling me that I shouldn't have any problems with getting the place, granted that I have good credit. I knew I had good credit, but I wasn't 100% sure and I told him that. After that, his whole tone changed. He said a few more people were going to look at the place and that I should check back with him in a few days to see what the management company says. I called him later that day ( and he called me an apartment stalker) to ask 2 questions. 1. is the place rent stabalized 2. if I could get a 2 year lease. He told me he would ask the management company on Monday and get back to me. I waited until Tuesday to check back in with him and when I did, he only had one of the questions answered. When I asked him about my other question, he started to yell at me, telling me I wasn't serious about getting the apartment and that he was going to refund me my fee because I was being difficult. I wasn't. I told him fine, I'll wait for my check. About an hour later Reed calls me, telling me that the fee was non refundable and that, no, I cannot have my money back. I informed Reed that Max was the one that didn't want to work with me, as I was just asking questions I thought a realtor should know, no fee apartment or not. Reed said he sent my application in and all we had to do was wait for about a week or so to find out if I got the application. This is where things get messy. I signed up for a credit check services, so I would know when the landlord actually checked my credit and within that first week, no such thing happened. I called Reed every day, as I was still looking at apartments, but this apartment was soooo nice and within my price range and no fee I had to have it. After the second week, I knew Reed thought I was just going to stop calling and search for another place. He was foolish. Let me add that 80% of the time he never picked up his phone and would send me text messages. I ended up finding out the management company's info and informing the office manager of everything that happened, to which, after her initial disgust of the situation, phoned Stephen herself to get my application faxed over to the management company. Yes, they never sent my information over to the management company. The management company checked my credit the same day and what do you know, I got the apartment. With no help from Max or Reed. It's really sad, because you get what you pay for, and a lot of places should be no fee, but then you get this crappy service for no reason. Max also had a lawsuit against him for something similar. Shame on the realtors that keep working at this super shady business. If you do end up dealing with them, please know that you can always try to call up the management company and let them know what's going down, as they are paying them in the end. more

The deal went down fast exactly as Reed said smooth as pie, great place in great neighborhood! I had been looking for a place for a while and so I met several realtors. I knew what I was looking for had all my info together very organized with reference letters and financials. I am self employed and had been beat out of a couple places so I was a little gun shy. I had been fine tuning my application package so I could give them my exact info so nobodys time or money was wasted and it worked out great. more

I definitely recommend Reed at Apuzzi Realty. After meeting with a host of obnoxious, creepy and just plain incompetent brokers, I found Reed. What a difference. I responded to one of his ads on Craigslist and he showed me the apartment the next day. He even made sure that I was able to see it before other interested people because I was the first one to contact him about the place. That courtesy is simply unheard of in the hell that is NYC apartment hunting! He wasn't pushy at all and he answered all of my questions. After we saw it, he emailed me pictures of the apartment and kept me updated on its availability. I was apprehensive at first because the apartment was being renovated, but Reed assured me it would be a great renovation (and it is). When I decided to take it, he made the application and lease signing process a breeze. About a week before my move, he met me so I could measure the place and he even arranged for me to move in a day early! Throughout the process, he was always reachable and prompt to answer text/emails/calls. Reed is a friendly, approachable and smart agent. I love my new place and I highly recommend him. more

Reed helped negotiate great terms, and helped me get into the new place a few days early to help make the move a bit smoother. Reed was extremely helpful when I was searching for my new apartment. He told me that he had a great apartment in my price range and even though it was only the 2nd place I had looked at, I took it! I was approved in one day and Reed went out of his way to make things go smoothly. He responds to texts almost immediately and checks in to see how things are going. I recommend him highly! more

Mike Poulos and Reed are great--both were willing to go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and even picked up the keys to my new apartment which I then picked up later on since i couldn't get to the super in time on friday. they're reall great, and i highly recommend them to anybody who needs a new spot--especially if the building is paying for their fee (i really lucked out with that too)!! more

I used to work in Real Estate for one of the bigger agencies in the city so I am familiar with the process of looking for an apartment. I worked with Reed and Steve and they were both professional and a pleasure to work with. I was approved for the apt the same day and signed the lease 2 days later. I read some of these reviews and understand not everything goes smooth during a transaction but mine was simple, fast and easy. The way I see it is there are always two sides to the story...I had some great reviews and some not so great reviews due to people getting declined by management groups yet they think it was my fault. Anyways, I will recommend them to friends in the future. Reed asked me to write an honest review about the company, I really had an easy apt search with him and would use this Broker again in the future. Work with them and base your experience on how your apt search went with them, not necessarily a few bad reviews here and there..Thanks for your help! more

These guys were great. I had been looking around for apartments and every Realtor I came across was very aggressive, to the point where I felt some people were trying to bully me into renting. Reed was casual, friendly, and very responsive. He was the first Realtor I worked with that I thought was genuine and honest in response to my questions and concerns. Reed is now the first person I think to go to for renting and have referred my friends to him as well. more

Everything that all these glowing reviews say about Jeff Natch is true. He is a lovely man and an excellent Realtor. But it's not worth it to work with him because his boss, Steven Apuzzi, is a first class jerk, and a crook. more
